A lady name Casey called from (972) 331-4131 claiming to be an investigator with a case number naming a relative. I called back and asked her what kind of investigation are you ? She was confused and would not answer the question and when I kept asking she got roudy and hung up. After some research I discovered they are a low level debt collector who use unlawful technics to intimidate people and people known to them.
Closing to be law enforcement directly or indirectly to intimidate people for the purpose of collecting a debt is a felony.
I contacted the Dalllas State police and filed a complaint. I intend to repott the incident to the DA. In addition I filed FCC complain for calling me when I don't have any business with them and my number is listed with to not call list.
I encourage everyone who received calls from these people to do the same to get them to abide by the law.

If you receive a call from this company, file a complaint with the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Also file a complaint with the Secretary of State because the company does not have a surety bond to work as a collection agency. Bramacint IS a skip company, they ARE a collection agency, and they do work for leinholders such as Drive Financial. There are no "investigators" in the skip world people, they are regular people with no legal authority like you and me, calling saying they are investigators to get you to surrender your car. The only person that has any authority to forcefully take your car from you, is a sherriff or a constible. Now, if you are behind on your payments you ARE subject to be served a replevin by the consitble or sherriff, and they will come to get your car and you just go ahead and try to say no, and think you can't go to jail for it, you absolutely CAN, it IS secured collateral, and if you do not release it, it CAN be a felony, depeneding on the sherriff or constible serving your papers and what mood he/she is in right then. No one else has any authority to "report it stolen" or forcefully take it from you, but if you are visited by the repoman, you should go ahead and surrender your car, because its not worth the hassle of being reported as a hostile debtor to your leinholder who will take note of it and always put you out for repo if you are 1 day behind,which they have every legal right to do if you READ YOUR CONTRACT YOU SIGNED WHEN YOU BOUGHT YOUR CAR, you gave them permission to come onto your property and take back their secured collateral for any reason, such as no insurance, no payments, missing a day of a payment,  taking it out of the state you live in, letting someone else drive it that is not on the contract,any reason they want. This same person left me a message. Said it's part of an investigation. I never returned the call. Figured if the police want to talk to me, they know where to find me. Seemed to me like some stupid collector trying to be tricky. I'm not that stupid.

I received a call from an inspector Thomas, trying to reach me "in regards to a family member". She said it was important that I return her call tonight. I called and the phone never rang, it just disconnected. The call back number she left was 1800 360 5604 ext 4287. I gave up after calling all of my immediate family and verifying that they were ok.

Received a call from investigator "Sarah" called and left a message saying that she was looking for someone and that the cased filed against this person was time sensitive. Don't know if this is one of those scams or not.

They called and left a VM asking for me to call them back "regarding a woman named Carrie Nordak using this address as her address"  and to return the call to Investigator Oliver.  The woman never said what address this Carrie Nordak is using and it sounding weird since I just moved.  I was calling the investigator back when I started reading these posts and decided it was best to hang up before actually talking to someone.

They left a message under the name Investigator Chad.  They had my name and said they were investigator a fraud.  I didn't call back.

Got a call from Investigator Ross.  Trying to track down a couple that owns a car and not paying.  Said my dad's soc # came up when he searched and contacted me.  Was nice.  Did not seem that he was asking for any details.
