Dropped most of my century link services yesterday due to cost and little use. Today I get a call from 800-362-2772 with no caller ID (which I did keep). No message left. 4 minutes later I get a call from 800-397-3641 which does say from century link. I did not answer because I'm fed up with them. They actually left a message requesting me to call them at 800-201-4099 about "service in my area".

CenturyLink botched my internet service simply because I switched my phone elsewhere, and then sent me a bill over twice what it should have been. I called to get it corrected and now am receiving at least two calls a day from this number. I have an infant and do not appreciate getting calls waking my child up. They need to have their name listed with their number.

Called 3-6-2012 @ 14:07, answered call. CenturyLink automated survey for customer service after placing order and changing services. Took the short (3-4 minutes) survey after what I would say was a very pleasant experience with these folks.

Wrong they will bill you $9.00 for the line as the idiots did me this month after I called to disconnect my DSL I guess they thought I wanted to keep the line... WRONG, The idiots do this on purpose so you'll owe them another bill... They knew dang well I told them to shut my service off and had the nerve to turn around a month later and bill be for a line charge after I'd already paid my total bill owed after closing service. I've had nothing but bad dealings with the folks and will not use them ever again. Many times they'd put people on the phone that could barely speak english!

Embarq, Century Link. I answered their call this A.M. did the survey about service and that should be it. The end. Why do they need my opinion a second time??? If I could have really given my opinion (you only get 30 seconds to speak) I would have told them that I am somewhat unhappy with the service I just signed up for. First I got NOTHING IN THE MAIL ABOUT MY SERVICES, NO ACCOUNT NUMBER TO SET UP VOICE MAIL, INTERNET SERVICES ECT. I came to Century Link because Comcast has gone down hill and they do nothing to keep old customers just up the bill and find every chance to add new services fees.
OK I feel better now and I'll get off the soap box.

Their is a note in Century Links file to not call me. yesterday I called them to make some changes and at the end I told the girl to make sure I did not get the idiot survey call. She assured me there was a do not call memo in my file. So far today they have called twice!!! so much for their word of not calling any more. What a waste of money on their part and time on mine!!

I bought an Actiontec modem GT701D which so far works fine with Century Link/Embarq. It was about 50 thru Walmart.com which pays for itself in 10 months. CL charges 5 a month for theirs.

I received a call but was not home , so I call centurylink and asked if they have any numbers that of theirs that comes up NOT PROVIDED say said NO . So i call back the number 800-362-2772 the automated service was very very speedy in terms of speech. after punching in a bounch of 0000000000s it connects me to centurylink , and when i ask directly why they are blooking their number they say we dont so i mention embarq to them and they hang up , this happend 3 times , so i call back a forth time and ask them if this was their number spook the number out 800-362-2772 and they said yes it was but was unsure with his answer , could tell by the tone in his voice. fact is if im going to pay for their services I exspect honesty . If this sort of hid and seek game continues they will be loseing my service , I also exspect them to remember my preferences , like they are going to magicly change just because they hound me over their dish network and antivirus crap over and over and over .

I got a call from this number as well, and it was a hangup call. I'm a customer of their for my local phone service as they're the only game in town where I'm at, but I haven't made any inquiries or called them about anything in years, so I don't know why they would be calling me....

Its CenturyLink, they bought out Embark, called inquiring about services day before and today they call me back. no VM though, probably just soliciting business since i called curious about there services.

It's Century Link. I called them with a question about my router and while I was on hold I figured it out myself so I hung up. I had my ringer off and didn't know they called back until the next day when I checked my incoming calls. Not bad service I suppose. They called me back even though I hung up before they got to me.

Centurylink automated service-THey called me three times yesterday, didn' t even leave a message-infuriating 3 times in one day is harassment to me-am in Florida, where they are finally updating their antiquated phone lines to fiber optic network underground -apparently following upon my service call-I had to call their 1-800 number for customer service to stop
