I clicked on the link like you mentioned and they do not receive complaints. :( Yes, they do deal with magazine companies but they are not allowed to make outgoing calls.
Any other suggestions?
It is 2:24 p.m. on Tuesday May 28 and this number called 6 times in a row and leaving no message.
This number called 8 times in a row, with only a matter of seconds in between calls, and did not leave a message. The calls only stopped after I answered the phone. It was as people have said, a magazine renewal inquiry. So, I decided to cancel my subscription. I've been with that magazine for years and years and have never had this happen but it was so annoying (so much for my baby's nap) that I cancelled it.
We received tons of call from this number 18003640916, you people are just annoying, if you want business from people stop bugging us, whoever own this company number, Go phone yourself millions times like you did to us YOU ARE SUCH ANNOYING!:(
Called here 9 times within 15 mins. Why! Now I see its a magazine renewal offer or so they say I will never subscribe to any mags. again and I will drop the rest of them as well. Nice going.
they phoned today 93/28 at 4:39pm, 03/26. at 3:27 pm, 03/25 at 2:44 pm, 03/20 at 13:49, 03/14 at 2:27, never took it, they keep calling
Calls half a dozen times a day! I am sick with not much voice so don't answer but it is very disruptive! Never leaves a message but will call 6-7 times in a row! So annoying.
Have had several calls from this number in the past few days. We were not home but the number still showed up on our caller ID.
Today I received 6 attempts by this number in a 15 minute time period. On the 6th attempt I picked up the phone and said "stop harassing me!" They did not attempt to call again.
Yep. called my now. didn't know number. did NOT answer
They called 10 times in an hour today. Luckily my PBX requires unknown callers to press 5 to be connected. Blocked every call automatically :D
Thank you for the email addy, hopefully this helps.
They called and dead silence on the other end so I hung up.
Answered this call, but there was no one on the line.
Got a call from this # at 1:20 pm MDT (just now). There was just the 1-800 # in the call display and "Unknown Name". When I answered, there was no response, after a few seconds, the line went dead. I googled, got this web site "800notes.com" & read thru the posts, which were helpful.
Found out this: The # is for CDS Global. It seems to be a solitication / telemarketing line, esp. if you have a magazine subscription. We do (Canadian Geographic) - which is up to date / current. You may have a subscription to another magazine. They seem to be a call centre for follow-up w/ customer subscription renewals.
One of the posts suggested dialing them back and pressing " * 0 " (thats the star key followed by the 0 key on your phone's dialpad).
This worked. I was transferred to extension 3300, a lady (Sabrina) immediately answered & was professional, seemed understanding / co-operative towards the request to have our telephone # removed from the list. She said she would notify the call centre immediately to have them remove our number form their roster.
Hopefully this will work. Will post an update if there is anything further.
CDS Global Email: email@example.com
Claims to be from Chatelaine magazine. Does not understand that my wife is deceased still tried to sell me a subscription for my dead wife.
Call them and tell them stop - this is the main office and wants no part of being bothered with this so it is perfect.
Woodside Equine Clinic
the number I am complaining about is 1-800-363-0916 Once the call is answered, the line goes dead. When I call the number it says I have missed their call. We are an emergency clinic and don't have time for these extremely interruptive to our practice. Today we received two calls within an hour.
I have to deal with these calls daily, I have requested 4 times for this company CDS Global Magazines to stop calling and remove our numbers from their list. 3 Times I have left messages 4 times I have spoken to an actual person...a very snotty young women. If you call the number back press 0 after the long message and let it ring...a very long time someone will answer.
My phone log, May 3, 14 call, May 4, 12 calls, May 7, 16 calls, May 8, 9 calls, May 9, 3 calls, May 10, 8 calls, today May 11 in the last 20 minutes 2 calls. They don't even speak to you, they hear your greeting wait long enough to know your on the line and hang up. What do you have to do to have these companies stop harassing us?
Its busy enough anwering legitimate calls from customers, without having to put up with this annoyance. I have posted the number by my phone and now I just disconnect when I see it come thru. Thank Heavens for call display.
Also this is where you can file a complaint with the BBB
Over the past few weeks this number has called repeatedly, several times a day. Every time I pick up it's the same thing...dead air.
Never a voice on the other end; no one responds to greeting instant hang up.
Called, asked for my full name then hunq up. I had a magazine subcription and I did not renew it, so I guess they called me to know if I was still at the same address...
This worked, I just called in and pressed *0, I had to do it a second time but then I got ext. 3300 and she said she would take my number off of the list, fingers crossed!!
Phoned and no one there last 2 days. I would like a list of magazines this company promotes and if I subscribe then I will contact magazine and discuss cancellation.
Screened the call using call display. Called the number back and left a message requesting to be removed from their internal list, as per the instructions.
I'm making note of the time and date when they called and when I left my message. CRTC Rules allow them 31 days to remove my number from their list (Rules, Part III, s. 13), so I'll make a complaint to CRTC if the calls continue after that date. (http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/trules-reglest.htm)
FYI, you can make a complaint to CRTC about the abandoned calls (where you answer and there's no one there) (see Rules, Part III, s. 29). You can even make a complaint online - it's very easy. (https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng)
