Same problem that Cat has been having.  Received several calls at home and 2 at work.  At work they ask for me and when I pick up the line there is nothing on the other end.

They should be looking at who is working and who is not.  There are some slackers at this company and they get better treatment than the hard workers.

I'm guessing it's a Survey Company.  If you recently had your car serviced...something like that.  I've been getting calls from 888-508-4591 after having my Toyota worked on.  Now this number is calling.

I've been getting several calls a week from this number.  The phone rings, I don't answer and then it says I have a message; when I listen to the message it is just a hang-up...no voice.  I anwered once and there was no one on the other end of the call.  I kept saying "hello?" "hello?" and hung up.  It's VERY annoying.

Like a lot of posters here, I recently had a Toyota vehicle serviced and gotten several (unanswered) calls from this number. I LIKE the service @ my local dealer. However, I am TIRED of the follow-up telemarketing/direct mail that pretends to be about my service but then segues almost immediately into an entreaty to trade the vehicle in.

I LIKE my car and want to keep it a LONG time. Is it any wonder I don't want to talk to these people??

DME, are you saying that collection agencies NEVER dial incorrect numbers, or NEVER call the unsuspecting in efforts to skip-trace debtors? Because if you are, you'd be WRONG.

You made an assumption about another poster that may or may not be valid...

Maybe I'm missing something here...I too have been called relentlessly from the stated number and another that I am positive is generating from a Toyota dealership that I recently had serviced. Yes it is nice to have the courtesy follow-up call "but" if the call is not answered for one reason or another it is also a "courtesy" to the customer you are calling to leave a detailed message on our voicemails. Call after call is unnecessary. It's scary to think that any consumer purchasing services or goods could be in a position to receive courtesy calls from eac company. Now in my case my number needed to be left for a part, information and the courtesy van to take us back to get the car. Where is the dividing line between courtesy and harrassment?

ITs easy to call people names and to Exaggerate the truth. Coem on! My entire career has been built on integrity. Do you know anything about DME?

I welcome any and all calls and have received one so far to date. It's a shame no one really cares. DME does!

They harrass people 8 and 9 times. Attempts that is. They do not leave messages as they are not allowed to accept on some call types. I spoke to a manager and what a Bi***. Sheila her name was. I ought to turn her into her supervisor. They are allowed to contact you up to 18 months of business contact for a company that you had done business with. Well it was 19 and I am turning them in. Count the months and turn them in for badgerment. I googled the number and found the address. 2441 Bellvue Rd. Daytona Beach, Florida 32214 DME Holdings. Near Airport.

The address for this company is:

Direct Mail Express, Inc.
2441 Bellvue Ave.
Daytona Beach, Florida  32114

The names are correct.

My suggestion is to just delete the message.  Some of the employee's response's are typical of this company.  The owner, Michael Panaggio has no integrity.  However, he does create jobs and makes a ton of money.  Capitalism at it's best!

The system used by this company is telephony.  They can call you and if you answer, the system will automatically hang up without you knowing that anyone called. Their goal is to leave a message on your machine relating to an automotive service call.  Unfortunately, the "National Do not call list" does not apply because you have a "business relationship" with the dealer that you bought your car from.  All I can say is that this is technology at it's "finest" and all you can do is delete the message from your answering machine.

Frustrating, yes...but what can you do?  Try not to get upset, they don't care and your health is much more important than the tactics that this company is using to solicit more business.

You are such a jerk and incredibly uneducated.  there is a reason they're calling, and you have no business acting like a three year old.  How can you feel good about yourself doing that?  And you spelled "your" wrong.  It's you're.  Get an education before you open your mouth (or type in this case) and remove all doubt that you're an idiot.

HAHAHAHA  Just goes to show your parents college money went to waste you stupid idiot!  Don't you think call centers have better technology than a fax machine, don't you think they expect losers with nothing better to do to come up with "master plans" to mess things up, don't you think they would cover their a***s from something like that from happening? Get a life. Oh and I need to mention this call may be recorded for quality...now I'm laughing

Tell them to put you on the do not call list,  they are just trying to follow up with your service at a dealership.  If you don't want to be contacted DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR INFORMATION!!

We do the calls on behalf of dealerships to follow up with your service visit.  Some times there is a slight delay in the connection of the call, we do not dial the calls ourselves, we have a computer that does it for us.  If you don't want to be called, tell us to put you on the do not call list, and we will not contact you any more.  If you provide someone with your contact information you are consenting to the call.

We do the follow up calls for the dealership, if you don't want to be contacted, simply ask to be placed on the do not call list.  If you don't want people calling you, DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR NUMBER.  Even if you are on the national do not call list, if you give someone your number you are consenting to the follow up.

Just so you know the number that called you is a company that does the calls on behalf of the dealership, and they are trying to follow up on your service experience.   Being an idiot and screaming at someone will NOT do anything.  Be an adult and ask to be put on the Do Not Call list and you will be placed on our DNC list.  Just because you are on "the national do not call list" doesn't mean anything, if you provide your number to a business, you are consenting to the call.  If you don't want people to call you, DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR NUMBER!!!!

You are an incredible jerk. I happen to know EXACTLY why they are calling. they are calling to follow up on your service vist to a car dealership. You are a b*****d for treating people like that. It is a man or woman who works hard and takes s*** all day from people like you. You most likley scared the s*** out of a little old woman who is trying to supplement their social security. If you dont want to be called, fine, tell them politely, and they will take you off the lists. And they call you despite the NDNC because YOU have a business relationship with the company you are calling on behalf of. So quit being a jerk and use a little courtesy with people who work hard just like YOU do.
