We are refinancing our mortgage with PNC and they called me on my cell phone. totally legit. She left a message.

Called and asked for Johnny ???  Couldn't catch the last name.  PNC was the company name, no John, Johnny or any variation here.

Two recent calls from 800-367-9305, both left the same message: "This is PNC, call us at 888-224-4702." I've never heard of PNC, and while they appear to be a legit mortgage company, they are not my mortgage company. I assume this is a scam. I did not return the calls.

I received a harassing phone call from 800-367-9305. He stated he was from PNC Mortgage & that I was late on my payment & late fees have been assessed. He kept demanding payment so I hung up. Late fees are not supposed to be assessed until the 16th of the month so I thought it was a scam. I sent an email to PNC also.

Thank you for posting this, I have a mortgage with PNC as well and just googled this as the number came up on my phone.  If it's legit, they can e-mail me or leave a voicemail.  Sounds "phishy".

The caller from 800 367 9305 said she was Karen at PNC and asked for the last 4 numbers of my social security number, which I did not give her of course. I asked several questions about who they were, were they PNC mortgage, what was the purpose of the call and she would not answer the questions and just said to call back at a number that she gave me. I was asking her again who PNC was when she hung up on me. I do have a mortgage with PNC, so it is a legitimate company. But, it was not possible to tell if the caller was actually from PNC.

PNC bank/mortgage are home-grown terrorists.  They extort, threaten, Americans who have fallen on hard-times.  They buy old debt for pennies on the dollar.  Many of these old debts are uncollectable as the statute of limitation has run out (each state has different statutes).  They are most successful threatening Senior citizens and undocumented individuals who live and work off the grid in the U.S.  According to Internet sources, PNC funds anarchist groups, child pornography, sex-trafficking, and the like.  BEWARE

This was a PNC Mortgage call for me.  I called the guy back and verified all his information.  The phone number that you receive is originating from PNC's phone switch.  It's possible for other PNC phone extensions to use the same outgoing number.

Called very early in the morning, didnot leave a message. I called the number back, I received a recording requesting personal information. It's a phishing call and scam.

We received 8 calls yesterday. It sounds like a fax. When faxing a message requesting that the calls stop it says you need to dial an extension

Called before 8am.  Left no message.

Received a voicemail from this number (stating that it was PNC Mortgage).  When I called the call back number 800-523-8654 that was left in the voice mail the automated service never even mentioned who it was I was calling and asked for zipcode and my phone number.  After I entered those in it asked for my PIN number.  I was smart enough to hang up and lookup on the internet the REAL number for PNC mortgage and called them.  They thanked me for bringing it to their attention.  It is NOT really PNC calling but just phishers looking for information to screw you over in the long run.
