They are up to it again.  Claim to be Chase fraud service.  I called Chase and it is not them.  They had the home number and cell number.  They called both.

i didn't answer and, based on the info here, called the number on the back of my chase credit card.  i was routed right to the fraud department automatically.  he verified they had tried to call me.

he also, however, said it is possible for people to use software to fake the incoming phone number you see, so he said if you are at all uncomfortable, just call the number on your card to be safe, rather than talking to whoever called you.  that way you can be sure you're talking to chase.

I haven't bothered to call this number back because I have no credit cards issued by chase.  No debit or smart cards either for that matter so this is either a scam or someone gave them my number when they got this card and somehow used it to verify the card however I have had the number for 7 years.  So I don't see that as possible.

received call from this number, stating thaey were from cgase fraud department. I called chase to verify and this is not one of their numbers.

For what it's worth, I called my Chase account handler, and he told me that the number in question -- 800-371-8341 WAS, in fact, their direct fraud line.  My account has now been hacked three times in the past two years, and I'll be getting a new card/new number within three days.  So, if in doubt, call Chase.

Just got yhe same call from this number. The account number they gave was not my account number. Plus, the account is in my wife's name. She should eceive the call and not me. I called the number on the back of my Chase card and confirmed this.

Do not call that number back.Call Chase direct.

Received 2 computer sounding calls within an hour saying it was from the Chase Fraud Prevention Dept. and that a charge had been declined on my credit card and requested that I call 800-371-8341. Then said to continue, press any key.

I suspected this could be a scam and did not press a key but hung up.  Checked out the 800 number and discovered that others got similar calls and apparently this is a scam. If you get such a call, just hang up and report it to Chase.

These people are very persistent! They have been calling every 30 minutes. I called Chase - it's fraud.

I received a call from this same number also claiming to be from Chase Bank Fraud Deparment, a machine gave my husban's mame and it said they were tring to prevent a fraudelent transaction when I called back a male ask for my husband credit card # or his ss#  when I said I dit not have that he asked me for my ss#, it semmed suspecious to me when he ask me for my husband info when if you call a bank they refuse to talk to any one other than the account holder.

Called 4 times in the last 2 days.  Leave a message to "press any key" after giving you a four digit number.

Received on 01-23-2010 at 8:30am a call from this number pretending as it was from a Chase Bank Fraud Department and he tried to steal my identity by asking my personal information on my credit card.

Got a call from this number today, went to great lengths to verify that this IS indeed Chase Fraud Prevention so it's a good idea to talk to them.  To be safe verify all info with your local branch.
