This person called & left a message on my cell phone, saying to call the 800 number back immediately to avoid having a negative mark on my credit & having a claim filed against me - he didn't say his name or the name of the company he works for.

I got a call from a restricted number. The caller left a message about a claim I filed, complete with claim number and the 1-800 number to call back. But he didn't say his name or the name of the company he works for, and I haven't filed a claim with anyone recently. Not my car insurance, health insurance, cell phone, home owners- nothing.

Frequent calls, saying a claim has been filed against me, but leave no further info. on who they are or who supposedly filed a claim

I received a call from this number and all they said was there was a claim filed in the state of NJ. No idea who or what they didn't leave a name or company.

Its a scam

Ryan, you yourself are not polite. This job you have causes stress to everyone, even yourself. And stress shortens the length of your lifespan. Good luck in life because the universe knows you need it.

It's just unfortunate that we have to spend money on certified letters (like the one you need to send to them below), in order to make them abide by the VERY laws they are ignoring. The plus side to this is that you get to report them to the FTC if "Ryan" continues to call you after you have proof that they received your Cease Communication letter. $1,000.000 per violation is really chump change to these scumbags, but at least you will have the necessary documentation to show to the judge, should they decide to come after you, anyway:

Someone who calls himself Ryan uses this number as his call back number from his so called collection agency. He is rude and I have told him many times he is not calling the right number and proceeds to do so everytime.
