Annoying phone calls. Number on screen doesn't match number the broken up message leaves so that's odd to start with! You start job hunting and you get all kinds of junk and unwanted phone calls.

This is a BS call, DO NOT CALL, called me about my resume, just ignore. Pure garbage scam.

Do they have any jobs or they just want to get your money?

Company called in from 619-794-0540 but left the 800# for a return call. Also claimed they were interested in hiring me for a position with one of their clients as if they were a placement agency.
Caller ID misrepresented them at Mingle, LLC and not Climber.com. The telemarketer did not identify their name, or the companies name on the voice mail.

I posted a resume online and had Climber.com call me, leaving a message, saying they saw my resume online and wanted to talk to me about a "position" with a "company". I call them back and they try to sell me a subscription-based job resume "assistance" service for $39.99/mo for a 4-month (only) commitment. A scam and annoying . . I am on the Do-Not-Call govt list, but apparently they feel they have the right to call me to "help" me. In reality, they are trying to sell me a service/subscription I don't want for something that undoubtedly will not help solve or change my current employment status/circumstance. She said most subscribers find a job "usually within a couple months" whatever that means or "guarantees"! . . all baloney I say!

I do not know how this company got my information or resume! That is private information, as is my phone number. This is very upsetting!
The Bert 2013-08-22 18:09:07 Unknown
I got the message 2x and kept both. Listened to both - exactly same words, voice and intonation. They are using their voice mail to go directly to your voice mail, so your phone does not ring on purpose! Sound like a scam?
Try typing this into Google search bar, about 200 results:
800-374-7113 scam
Then try typing this, 600,000+ hits (wow!):
climber.com scam
Complaints state that they charge you for a service that is free and that they have a very hard time getting a refund or to stop recurring monthly billing.

I got a message this morning from 619-794-0540, although they said to call back 1 (800 )374-7113. I was suspicious for a couple of reasons:
(1) I never heard of climber.com
(2) I never applied to any place with a similar name
(3) they never said how they got my resume
(4) they never said that they do
(5) the person on the phone never introduced themself
(6) they gave me an 800 number to call back instead of a direct line to their desk
(7) their website did not come up first in a Google search
(8) The suggestions in the Google Search Bar for "climber.com" included "scam", "review", and "bbb (Better
Business Bureau), so other people thought it was suspect before me.
I'm assuming that this is a sham and I am avoiding it like herpes.

I just got a message from 800-374-7113. Since it did not match any phone numbers of recruiters that I am working with, and was clearly a recorded message, I did not bother calling. This is annoying, particularly since I have all my numbers listed on Do Not Call lists. I suppose climber.com thinks that posting your resume online gives them permission to robot-dial you? When I saw that they wanted money, I cancelled the upload. Apparently not quickly enough.

Thanks for sharing the information. I got a message from 1-619-794-0540 today. A lady left message stating they saw my resume online and asked to call 1-800-374-7113. My experience was similar to Sandy and RoseG. I just posted my resume on Indeed.com.

I returned the call and was told that the company, for a monthly fee of about $40, helps job-seekers find middle and upper level positions. I received the call the day after I posted my resume on Indeed.com and a few other web sites.

I got acall today much likethe other's have commented on this site. just a voicemail giving the number to call back and the message "I hope you are having a great day". I just posted my resume so I am assuming this is what triggered the call after reading the other posted comments.

Got a voice message from this number (1-800-374-7113) stating that they saw my resume online. The number on the caller ID is 619-794-0540.

unwelcome calls with no identification of caller or business.
Maxine Klaus 2012-09-12 19:13:04 Unknown
Received an email regarding my resume. They included this number. I didn't call back since when I get something entirely unsolicited I get suspicious and check it out.

If you have your resume on any job board they will find you. They do a thing called Data Mining and then set up their autodialer to call you. I didn't get a call, I got an email. There is no way to stop this from happening other than not posting your resume.
Chris Macrides 2012-07-11 14:26:12 Unknown
Received a call stating something about my resume and to call them back.

Bogus robocalling

I would like to know HOW they find out we are unemployed and HOW they know our private cell phone numbers.
Raven 2012-01-28 22:51:20 Unknown
I have received THREE calls from this number, thus far. I called the number back after hours on the weekend to discover who they were. You couldn't even understand what the guy stated the business was. A woman kept leaving all the messages which stated to call them and gave no name or what it was in regards to. The number doesn't even show up on your recent calls, so I had no idea anyone had called except there were voicemails.
Eileen 2011-10-19 23:35:58 Unknown
They want you to pay a fee to broadcast your resume on their job site. Not worth it when there are so many free sites.
Jeremy 2011-10-19 14:58:14 Unknown
I received a call from the same number. It was a pre-recorded message about them receiving my resume and to "go ahead and call them back". Sounded like spam.
ely 2011-08-28 05:14:23 Unknown
i got a call, but i never send any resume... someone explain to me, how they get my number if is private

Said they called from Climber.com regarding a resumé and to call back AND (of course) to have a good day...
AD89 2009-11-17 16:40:18 Unknown
no missed call.. the voicemail just showed up..it just said the number and "Hope your having a great day"
A 2009-09-30 21:00:43 Unknown
Must've been a robocall, because I only got the tail end of the message on my voicemail (the 800 number and hope I'm having a good day).
Eric 2009-09-24 03:06:26 Unknown
I got a message with this number, although the number that showed up on the caller ID was 619-794-0540
Lori6 2009-08-20 18:39:25 Unknown
They left message saying they were from Climber.com and saw my resume, did not state my name or my husbands, and to call them at the number listed above.
sandh 2009-08-11 20:29:07 Unknown
Same here no message just gave the number and stated to have a good day.
