Caller ID picked it up as a TOLL FREE CALL also...

Call ID picked up as a toll free number    Shouldn't have anyone calling me   never leaves messages

This is the Children's Cancer research coalition.  I got another call from a different number and it appears they are using a few different numbers - like the "dove foundation does"...
I found out that if you call:  If you want to be removed from the list call 1-800-379-8943 & listen to the message in the end it will give you the option to be put on their do not call list.  I don't know if this will help but I do know that yesterday I received 4 calls - 3 from this number and 1 from 5208291212.  They never leave a message and my husband is angry they call.

This company has repeatedly called my home asking for money.  They usually ask for my husband by name.  I followed the advice of another poster and called the "remove me" number.  Hopefully it will help.

Every other day we get a call from this number on our caller ID.  I answer good morning or good evening (in a gruff voice), there is then a few seconds of silence, then static.

This number calls me every 2 or 3 days, sometimes more than once a day and I'm so tired of it. I don't answer it any more but I keep track of when they call. I gave a donation to them one time, a year or two ago, and they won't stop calling me. I don't know about calling the number posted above to be removed from their list - please be careful if you're thinking of trying that. Too many scams out there.....

I just did this and was assured by the recording that I would be removed from their calling list.  I sure hope it works.

I got a call from 800-379-8917 my caller ID took it as the number is showen I answered the phone call and they hung up right away. I called back to see who was calling me and a machine answered it. I hong up and I looked up kids for cancer on the internet and there is no trace of kids for cancer fund. So if you get this call from the same number report it to the Better Buisness Bureau.

Called for the first time, just shy of 3 pm today. They hung up right as my machine picked up.

No idea what they wanted, didn't leave a message.

A guy started by saying "Hey, Ben!"
He then gave an unclear pitch for "helping kids with cancer"
I said I don't give money over the phone, but if he could send me some info I'd take a look.
He said they didn't have info to send me, but that I could send them something. (!!)
I asked what company he worked for and he said "children with cancer"
I asked the name of his company that was hired by the charity, and he asked a co-worker, but didn't know.
I then asked to be taken off their list, and he said that I could just send 10 or 20 bucks. I asked again to be taken off the list and he said "no need to be an a**hole."
I then asked if he called me an a**hole, and he said no, he was talking to a coworker.
I then asked to speak to his manager and he hung up on me.

Same as above. They know not to ask me so they always ask for my husband by his first name. They say they are  "Kids with Cancer"

Called today at 4pm for the first time, left no message. I just got my phone turned on 4 days ago, and have given the number to NO ONE. There is only one way who ever this is got my number - From my phone company, Comcast. Any of you guys use Comcast ?

Called and asked for my husband, told them he was unavailable and asked who was calling ( I was thinking another political call ) they said Brad Miller with a follow-up call, when I asked a follow-up in reference too? they hung up.

How To Stop These Calls
1) Contact your State's Attorney's General's Office, Charity Division.
2) Request help dealing with Commercial Fundraiser(s), and Charities harassing you.
3) You will need Both the Commercial Fundraiser's and Charity's contact information, name, address, and phone number. <provided below>
4) Request the AG formally request these charities, do not contact you, and do not sell/trade/transmit your personal information.

Wait 1 month, if they continue to call, contact the AG?s office again, and request further assistance.

I get phone calls from this number at least twice a day. I never answer. I tried to call them back today to tell them to remove my number from their calling list and all I got was a recorded message. Says they are from the Children's Cancer Network. BS!! I have read the other posts on here and do not think it is legit and will not answer their calls.

And it's probably some sort of charitable outfit donate once to one of them and after that they always after more.

They've called using a CLID of 520-829-1212 at least 7 times, someitmes they leave voice mail messages like what did he say?

I have been receiving the same phone calls from the  National Coalition of Disabled Fire fighter. One time i donated and now they wont stop asking for more. How to stop it?

I know who these peope are and let's just say they are going to be in for a surprise when they least expect it.

Calls my phone number then hangs up after listening to my outgoing message.

Got a solicitation for donating to children's cancer research coalition.  I DON'T donate via the telephone anymore because it just propagates many more calls from 'other' organizations who claim i gave to them before.  They always have similar names to legitimate charities, as this one did.  The guy was not happy when I said i was looking them up on the web, but did give me a web address that he rattled off too fast to catch.  I don't know if this is a bogus call or not, but everyone should beware of these types of calls and verify their legitimacy before donating money.
