Payday loans are the worst. Nothing more than semi-legal loan sharks. United is illegal in a lot of states.

Yea, but see....once they start harassing people at work, then they are messing with corporate management which means the legal department of that company takes over and then, it makes it easier and a stronger case to push for prosecution against these illegal entities.  Trust me...the house of cards is crashing down on these illegal payday lenders and their loan shark practices.

Download a blocking app to your cell phone.  There are so many out there to choose from and they are providing a great sense of peace from these scammer/spammers.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

Again, unless they start calling you at work, which I GUARANTEE they will do.  Blocking the number is simply a band-aid.  There doesn't seem to be any clear cut way to stop them.

Except this doesn't resolve the issue of them calling you at work.  Unless of course you quit your job too.

To the person who wishes to block the United Cash Loan number or any number from their cell phone:  There is an app called Mr Number.  Download the app, add the number to your contact list, then  it  then you can block the hell out of them.  Mr Number will catch the blocked call on the "less than first ring."  Oh, by the way, its a free app.  Good Luck.

Change your number. It is a pain, but in your case it should help. Otherwise, there are all kinds of apps to create a block list.

Was suppose to start taking payments out of my checking account but got emails saying that they had trouble getting out of my account Idk why cause they had all my checking info. Then something about some clear house with direct debit from the banks. I closed the account out and switched to another bank. Now they want be to make arrangements for a withdrawal on my credit card. They must have fallen and hit there heads. I will send a money order to them less that $125 fee they want but they don't go for that. Any comments or suggestions

This is a collection dept for United Cash Loans. I took out a payday loan with them a while back. I paid them, over time well over the original amount of the loan, close to $300 over the original loan amount, until I could no longer afford to continue paying them. I closed out my bank account, and when they first started calling me, they would tell me that they were going to take all legal action to obtain the money that I owe them. I began to do research and found out that they are owned/affiliated with an indian tribe, and do not have a good record of operating legally. They began to email me, so I started a chain of email, that I still have, informing them that I have paid well over the loan amount before letting my account close, and that I was offering a settlement amount of $100. I also asked for the mailing address of their company, as well as the parent company if it was different. They will not give me any info. So I made a complaint the AG office in SD, where the tribe is located. I refuse to let these people intimidate me. One thing I did find in all my research, was this.. If a company refuses to provide the mailing address of their corporate office, then DO NOT SEND them any money.. because they are most likely not a legally operating company.
I hope this helps.

they are annoying, obnoxious so why don't you just have fun and annoy them back.  tell them whatever you want; they are Indians, and working on commission so let them know you are not going to pay anything and every time they call you, they are wasting time and commission when they can be annoying the next victim. Or in the alternative invite them down and give them George Zimmerman's phone number or the White House at 202-456-1111.  Obama pays everyone.

I took out loans and always paid them back.  My wife lost her job and I found myself taking more out.  Finally I got to the point I was mostly paying them.  I had my car insurance on autopay and the loans hit my account at the same time causing it to overdraw.  After that the companies were merciless.  Threatening calls from different numbers.  They called family and friends.  When I tried to explain all they said was is the money in the account or when will it be there, not can we work out an arrangement.  They kept charging my account leaving me with $40 every payday.  Couldn't pay bills or feed my family.  I stopped my direct deposit and changed my account and the bank kept leting them put the charges through after I forbid them to do it in writing and charged me a fee everytime.  I lost thousands of dollars.  My family was evicted.  Over the past year I have worked with the people calling and have paid loans back.  Some said they were collecting multiple loans.  I always ask for written proof of the arrangement and they always say you only get it when the final payment comes in.  I have paid many off with only one emailing me a letter stating I satisfied the debt.  When I called the others they denied even talking to me saying that they are not even licensed to collect in my state.  I proceeded to study the regulations both federal and state for payday loans and debt collecting.  I found out that they are illegal in New York State.  The are not even allowed to contact you to collect.  I felt cheated that I was offered loans for 30% when NY does not allow it anything over 25% for loans over $250,000.  You can only charge 16% for loans less than that.  I still get calls from some of these companies trying to collect and I now tell them I am filinf a complaint.  I consider my loans paid or null and void.  I tried to do the right thing and got screwed.  Never again.  If you are in New York State use the law to protect yourself.  These companies are blatantly breaking the law to make a buck.  If you choose to pay back pay the principal only.  People say do the right thing and pay it back.  Not sure if you are doing that if the loan was offered in bad faith.  You are not a criminal for applying for a loan.  You shouldn't be taken advantage of either.  I will never use them again.
