I just got my parents off their number list today.  They are effectively a debt dump, including a lot of illegal debt by people who used fake credentials.  And just because you move, or decide not to pay doesn't mean companies ever write off the debt.  That's a misconception brought about by popular entertainment.  The debt becomes a commodity that gets sold and traded, even while you pay off the debt sometimes. One of the benefits to a debt paying individual, is the transactions oftentimes end up being better than the payment/interest of the previous owner of the debt.  Debt collecting is a big business, but very hard for the people who have to answer the calls. Since they are human, they can be demoralized too, by the overreacting and angry people on the other end of the line.  That is why they robot the initial calls, and only operate the call center for incoming calls.  Information technology is my thing, so a system like this is something I've come to understand dealing with debt of my own in the past, including other collection agencies.  They can be persistent, but if you work with them, they are usually good at working with you.  And if you can't pay at all, they at least have the decency to warn you of the result, which is completely out of the hands of the person you would be talking to at the call center anyway.  They are unfortunate peons who are stuck at a job where faith in humanity is destroyed call by call.

These people called me, they had my husband's name, but my social security #! They claim that we had a latin club membership 6 years ago, and it is just accruing fees! First of all, I am NOT latin!! Second of all, why the hell is a so called collection agency just now getting the account???  Quit calling the wrong people. They claimed that when we supposedly had that account, that we lived somewhere where we have NEVER lived!!! SCAMMERS!!!

I receive calls for my ex from this number.  She refuses to answer her phone so they search for any contact information, therefore they contact me.  So I have to listen to their recorded message while eating my dinner.  The best part is she keeps telling me she is getting her credit in line....HA!!!  Why is people with bad credit always have to make excuses and lies to make it as if they are making it better.  My credit has never been bad so I never have to excuse it...I just have to take her calls.

Jerica, have you considered that your husband might have a Latin fetish, that the charges my be from a Latin Porn Site?  Think about it, if you were going to sign up for a BIG DICK website would you give your actual address information?  If you really want to know why they are calling you contact them, if you are not the guilty party you have nothing to lose.  They will ask you to verify certain information and that will prove to you and them that you are not the person they are searching for.  Get over yourself and the fact that you think you are better than the piece of s**t you are.  If it was not you or your husbands account you would be on the phone taking care of the matter...not typing it on here to justify your case to everyone you don't know.  Take care of the problem by actions that work for you, otherwise pay me and I'll take care of them for you...loser!

I got a recorded phone call from them looking for someone who must have had the phone number before we did.  Called and told them we didn't know the person they were looking for and they said our number would be out of the system in 24 hours.  We'll see how that works out. They were very polite and nice about the error.  Time will tell.

I'm sick of it. No matter how many times I tell them they have the wrong number they refuse to remove my number off this womans account.  When I called back to discuss this with them the guy hung up on me. I called back again, but just got reassured that my number had been taken off the file. I told him that that is what I had been told the previous times and yet I still received calls from them. This better be the last time or I will send them a Cease and Desist Communications notice.

Sorry, Sorry. But I'm not related to, nor do I know a Maria Perez. I just got a call from them on my answering machine asking for Maria Perez who, once again I do not know nor am I related to.

This is what is called a shake down. In this kind of economy companies know that people are skrimping and saving to keep their credit 'nose' just above water and, in essence, blackmail people to pay a debt they know are either fake or so old they can't legally be collected on actively.

Don't be so judgmental just because your ex-wife is a deadbeat (I have a feeling that you two were perfectly matched considering your condescending attitude). If you actually read the posts regarding this 800 number as well as 405-619-3630 (which is the same company) you will see that all of the people are getting these calls illegally. If each of us got together we could file a class action law suit against this company. Think about it...Maybe all it will take is one large lawsuit exposed in the media to scare other shake down collectors from pursuing this form of harassment.

An automated message from Oklahoma number called me stating to call that toll free number. When I call that number they tell you by automation that your conversation will be recorded and if you curse they'll hang up on you. They told me I was caller 10 and put me on hold. I waited a couple of minutes morethan 5 thanI heard a click and my phone call had been disconnected. AThey called me back today with the same automated message to call them. I don't know what this is about and I'm not calling them again.

This 34 year old President hires mostly family -- minimum of 10 employees, max of 20.  Jerry D might actually be Jerry Don, 61 his father. It seems to me that if you're going to start a "family business" that harasses people for outstanding debt in a recession, it should qualify as borderline terrorism.

Even If a debt is valid under FCRA when this comapany is the fith owner of a 7 + year old original debt owed directly to BMG which took said risk in extending Free CD's on credit to the entire united states without a credit check :-) they cannot legaly report it on your credit report as it is past statute of limitations for reporting in most state after 7 years - get a lawyer and sue them - they pay the attorneys fees.  I have bougth a house / car / several new low interest credit cards issued in the mean time. Srcew 'em, my beer is getting warm with all these tears :-)

Forgot to mention, I payed off Debbie's medical/outstanding bills (From her bout with cancer late 2003-early 2004 - Which she successfully beat) along with my bills (Student loan/credit cards/etc.) so I really don't know why National Credit Solutions would call. I even checked my credit report annually online for free and the only negatives I have are bill's already paid that have yet to disappear from my record.

If they want to repair our credit it's too late for that - and even before Debbie passed we never had bills jointly, so it's a mystery to me why they called. Besides, I don't think Debbie needs her credit repaired in the afterlife - I'm sure she is still making good $$$ as a nurse on the 'other side' as she did on this side of life...I know I keep getting offers for her to receive a new cellphone, but I trash those offers because I would hate to see the roaming rates on the bill from the 'other side' =)

The people at National Credit Solutions kept calling my home number after 5pm (CST) wanting to speak to my wife Debbie, so I finally was at home today when they called wrote down the phone number and called the number back and spoke politely to the female representative - that Debbie had passed away on October 22nd of 2008 and for National Credit Solutions to PLEASE stop calling the number because it is very upsetting as it is to lose my wife of 15 years (Who died 31 years to the day that my Dad died in almost the exact same manner - auto accident)

It remains to be seen if they will abide by my wishes - if not, I will send them mapquest or bing maps directions to the cemetery where Debbie is laid to rest and the National Credit Solutions rep can speak DIRECTLY to her then...I doubt Debbie will give a reply and I am very sure she cannot make arrangements to pay whatever bill that National Credit Solutions is calling about.

Besides, National Credit Solutions had their opportunity in April of 2009 when I probated Debbie's estate - notification letters of the probate where sent to ALL of her creditors and none showed up for either court date.

This is DEFINITELY a collection agency.  I have personally spoken with them. They called me about someone else's debt from 1997, 13 years old and out of the statute of limitations.  They wanted me to give them my social security number to "verify", I flat out refused and they said they will keep calling.  I called back until I got an agent who read the social security number from the collection file and I said it wasn't mine.  They agreed to take my number off the file finally.
