just received the same thing.  It is strange how all the magazines do this and say a big winner it is false advertising.  the deadlines change a lot. 1-23-14. 36,666.67 or 550,000.00.

I got a letter saying to respond by a certain date to win money. I dont recall signing up for this, but I would really LOVE it if it was true. Why do people play with our minds, do they not have a life? Someone should raid and arrest them and make them pay us for what they said we win. SMH

I also got the same exact notice as Deb yesterday. The reason I know it is a scam is I changed my last name four years ago and I go about my business using my new last name. This company used my old last name, which tells me that someone sold my contact information to this people. If it is too good to be true, it usually is fake.

I received mail saying "SECOND NOTICE." (Official Notification--Financial Advisory)....Time Sensitive.....IN A BOX ----PRIZE DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT ENCLOSED,,,,,  O P E N   I M M E D I  A T E L Y     Inside it states I was chosen "maybe" as a winner--gave an identification number, and stated it was from E.Wright--who is with the "National Magazine Exchange."  It gave MANY details about the contest.  (including  GRAND PRIZE-$1,100,000.     T H E   M A I N   T H I N G   I S   T H A T   T H E Y   W A N T   Y O U   TO C A L L     8  0  0  -  3  8  6  -  2  6  3  7 ,    provide entry ID #, and verify home address. ON THE BACK (in very light print) STRIKE IT RICK VIII SWEEPSTAKES...... it also shows that they will send a list of magazines they sell, AFTER they receive your entry into their sweepstakes.   I THINK IT'S BASED SIMPLY ON A BASIC TRUTH--the more you get hooked into anything, the more you will do NOT to lose out on WHATEVER you have the small chance of winning,,,,,, IF THERE IS ANYTHING TO WIN ! ! ! ! !
