I don't even know who these are and how they have my number I hate this they just get ur number from anywhere and decide to ring me!!

Like the others I received a call from this number. The caller had a heavy foreign accent and said he had some important information. He then asked for my mothers details.
Frankly if this is MBNA they should re-think their system as anyone alert to scams would refuse to answer as I did.

Receive around 4 calls a day on the answafone per day from 08003890043. Am already a member of the telephone preference service and have reported the number to the Information Commissioner

got a call from this number asking if a mr quinn was there, when i said no and asked who was calling they hung up, i dont qnow anyone named quinn

I get this number calling me at least 4 times a day.
I haven't picked up yet because they can charge you.

they keep ringing me daily and when i answer the phone nobody talks its just silent so i hang up on them but its gettin really annoying

These guys have bene calling me 5 or 6 times a day for the last two weeks trying to get me to take extra credit with them. I have taken the call twice and both times told them that I am not interested and to stop calling me.

Several hours later they called again. I have been very polite so far but the next time it happens i am afraid that I am going to be very rude indeed.

These people are relentless. I have been gettin several calls a day from them for weeks. I just cut the call off every time but they haven't given up yet!

I have had calls from this number the last two night, both at around 6pm UK time.

Both times I've refused to answer it and no voicemail was left.

I'm glad I'm came here so I have some idea where they're from.  I too am not an MBNA customer and never have been.

had a phone tday, didnt answer

3 calls in 2 days.  I don't answer it, but winds me up not knowing who the calls are from.

It looks like I am not alone - I got two last night (UK time) around 20:00, but was too idle to answer. Now I see it would have been a waste anyway - This is a good site to check.

+8002890043 answered it phone goes dead, phoned mbna, and they havent tried to contact me. Very suspicous i would say its phoney

I got call from +8003890043 today. I answered this call, but there was no response and the person hung up.  I'm very worried.

Got a call from 8003890043 tried phoning back but it was unobtainable very frustrating.  Sent a text and yes it failed!!!!!!

Suddenly started receiving daily calls from this number. Have registered with TPS to see if that makes any difference

have received numerous calls. They say they are from MBNA and want to offer me good rates on balance transfers.
I said not interested and hung up. Haven't had any more calls  - but it has only been a day!!!

I rang MBNA customer services yesterday and apparently the call is from their marketing dept in the USA. Even if you don't have an MBNA card a family member might and they got my details this way, I expressed my concern and have been taken off the mailing list apparently but we'll see. My advice would be to ring up MBNA UK customer services and request the same thing. If enough people call they may get the message.

Yep same as above. Getting very regular calls from this number 7 days a week, up to 4 times a day. I find it intrusive and extremely annoying especially as there is silence if you answer. What is the point to this marketing ploy? It appears to be MBMA. How can we stop this rape of our privacy? I shouted 'F**k off!' but that didn't seem to work. These people are obvioulsy doing something very wrong and it should be stopped. Idiots!

Receiving a call every day from +800 389 0043 - no one there, or a time delay indicating a call abroad.  Got a very Indian sounding "hello" once, but hung up as I'm not prepared to be scammed / charged etc.  Don't have an MBNA card, so not sure if it would be that.

this number called twice nobody spoke

I am a MBNA customer and have never been called direct by MBNA on a 0800 number. Once I realised this was a third party, put the phone down.

I now expect calls everyday, like I did with a another that called me nearly everyday for a month.

I'm NOT an MBNA customer and never will be so why have I just received the first call...

i keep getting calls no one anwsers exept once when they said they where from mbna and i checked and they are not

I am getting daily calls on my mobile from this number.  I've answered about 3 of them and there is no-one there.
What's the point of them?  They're not selling anything and whoever it is they are just hacking off MBNA customers.
how do you stop the calls?

Getting at least 2 calls a day from this number and they have not spoken once when i've answered,I am really fed up with it.

Oh my god, twice a day I am getting these calls....Has anyone found a way of stopping these?
Vodafone reckon they can't stop it!
