15:20 November 29
call from 8003917405
Did not answer.
I have gotten into the habit of not answering calls I do not recognize the number. If it is important they will leave a message. Sucks I've had to get to this point but its the only way I know not to be bothered or harassed by these idiots.

I work in market research (surveys, polls, customer satisfaction, etc), so I know the differnce between us and telemarketing. This number called me and I tried to get them to leave a message but they wouldn't. If they call again I will be asking for a lot more details (maybe even speak to their supervisor and ask about their credentials, business licence, etc.) The best tactic with these guys is to say "Please take me off your dialing database, this is a cell phone". We in the market research industry HAVE to take your number off the list if it's a cell phone, so it's probably the same for them.

called me Dec 11 - nobody there. REAL annoying when the baby just fell asleep. Maybe they'd like to come over and nurse her back to sleep? ARG!

these people call and ask for G. Siminetto or something every time. Stupid Bastards. If you call the number back you can delete your name from their list.

I get calls from this number at least twice a day. THis has been going on for at least 3 weeks now.
York Student 2011-06-06 20:57:42 Unknown
I do think it's MBMA and it was York University who disclosed my personal cellular number to this company! If you are a York University student, you may be at risk. Most of the telemarketers calling my house and now my cell phone have obtained my information from York University. As if parking tickets weren't enough!
Its a sad call display world. 2011-06-06 20:57:42 Unknown
I called back and got Gemma Communications. I was able to press 1 to have my number deleted from their call list within the next 24 hours. We'll see if that actually happens...
Mike 2011-06-06 20:57:42 Unknown
No one responds, calls several times a month.
Tak 2008-04-16 00:57:56 Unknown
These guys are shady dealers and scammers and if you get a call from them file a 1088 Complaint with the FCC at https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do and if you are on the National Do Not Call List, file a Complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx.
If the government gets enough complaints from you, we can put these guys out of business.

Ok, I received this call, just do the 1 and you will be release from the telemarketing list. It's a contractant of the Fortune 500. What is Fortune 500, it's the 500 biggest companies in Canada, like Bell, Rogers, Mastercard etc. They pay this kind of company for done the marketing.

Telemarketer trying to sell MBNA master Card with fees attached.
I told them I already had an MBNA card to see where they were getting their information. Then I told them they had the wrong address, name and phone number.. The guy seemed really surprised as though the source of that information is normally reliable.. I then got into an argument with the telemarketer because I explained that I had an MBNA card and that if I wanted a lower interest rate I would call MBNA and complain till they give me the 9.5% this guy was offering. I started complaining about the card and told the telemarketer I was going to call MBNA and cancel the card because they were ripping me off the whole time... of course I don't even have an MBNA card! :)

when you answer the phone and nobody replies, this is their way of finding out when somebody is home, so then someone will call at that time frame knowing there is a person there to answer the phone as proven by the previous calls.

They are calling on behalf of MBNA trying to get you to take a credit card. They already have your phone no. when they called you. But I would have a problem giving info to anyone but MBNA for an MBNA credit card. Who knows who these Gemma Communications people are? If you want another MBNA credit card, why wouldn't you just call MBNA? Anyways pre-approved is not what it seems, that's when they get all your info. They have called me many times and I keep saying no, if I want another credit card, I will call MBNA direct then I know who I am talking to. Outsourcing is fine but not for credit cards, that's way too risky. Best thing is to hang up, don't answer or keep telling them no thanks.

Already called me twice today, and it's only 1:12pm.
This number calls usually in the morning at around 10 for some reason. I've picked up a couple of times, because I didn't look at the caller ID. But now I just hang up. There is no one on the other end of the line. I don't know how they can collect my information that way though.

Now listen up troops - we're in a battle against computer-phone-spam, and Gemma & their minions are the enemy. Your keypad is your weapon. Best tactic I've come across (after googling 1-800-395-8813, one of Gemma's other spam-numbers) - hammer a digit the instant you see their number (woe 2 u if you've no call display)and their 'puter will hang up after about 2 minutes. First they came at me with 1-800-395-8813 - I programmed it into my phone as "SPAM" & from the get go hammered a digit at every call - hung up after 2 minutes - that number stopped, now they've come at me for the first time with 1-800-391-7405, which got the same treatment. The 'puter hung up after 7 seconds on that occasion. Aux armes !

I have been recieving numerous hang up calls what from I presume is some kind of dialing machine. There is never anyone on the line, it hangs up when I answer. I don't know exactly how many calls, but they occur usually during afternoon hours and sometimes more than once a day. This annoying kind of intrusion should be illegal. I *never* buy or use any product or service marketed in this way,

PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER UR PHONE WHEN YOU SEE THOSE PHONE NUMBERS:800-391-7405
AND 800-391-9421. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK TO GET YOUR PHONE NUMBER OUT OF THEIR LIST. OTHER WISE YOU ARE GIVING THEM FULL ACCES TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATIONS. IF THEY GET YOUR PHONE NUMBER, THEY CAN USE IT TO HAVE CREDIT CARDS, USE YOUR PHONE NUMBER ON THE INTERNET, GET YOUR NAME, AND TADA, THEY CAN HAVE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, SOCIAL NUMBER, ECT... THERE WAS SOMETHING GOING ON THE NEWS ABOUT PEOPLE DOING THIS.
