They didn't say you won.  They said they have good news about it or that you are a finalist. You only want to believe you won. That's why they keep calling people, because they know they are dumb.

I got the same spin about a contest that I had entered and they had good news.  Never said I won the Lincoln Navigator and never used my name or any one in my familyl. Jonathan was the name.

Several hours later I get another call from the Distribution Center from a different phone number only this time I am suppose to ask for Sam's supervisor, a Sean Allen.

Yep --- Got the same message tonight.   Why is the distribution center calling me at 7 O'clock at night?  Besides, they never addressed it to anyone in particular at our household.

Recieved same call from Jonathan, said he had good news not that Ive won, I figured it was some kind of scam, I enter so many stupid contest I couldnt remember if I had on this one.

Received the same phone call from Jonathan.  There is another phone number that they are using.  312-265-6417  and if you look on other posts there are many more numbers as well.  This is a scam and they obviously think people are too excited about the prospect of winning a Navigator that they aren't going to check it out.  Hopefully people will look it up.

rec'd the same call, also from Jonathan.  Needless to say, I won't be calling him back.

I got a call at home requesting I call a Peter Schwartz at 866/950-8143.  The message told me I was a finalist for the Lincoln Navigator.  The funny thing about the message was that at the end of the message it gave a different number to call 866/950-8145.  I called 8145 and discovered it was a credit card processing center.  AT 8145 they suggested it was a scam.

i received a phone call from a jonathan from publishers clearing house on 4.15.2010. said that i won 550,000 and they would send it to me personally at my house. I told him that i had not signed up for any sweepstakes and it did not sound legit. So in my cleverness i asked him what my address was, ( thinking he would walk around the question) he knew exactly where i lived. Scarry. Calling publishers clearing house customer service right now. Jonathans number was: 876-275-9806. the number was from kingston jamaica.

Got a voicemail today from the exact same number: 708-808-3204, but the message gave an 800 number to call back.  I know it was a mass computer generated call because those always have the first few words cut off at the beginning of the voicemail, as did this.  Obvious scam, did not even call back.

Received a message from Alex at the Prize Distribution Center re: the "Grand Sweepstakes Giveaway" involving the Lincoln Navigator.  Said to call 1-800-821-3984 and ask for Michelle Bentley.  Sounds like I'm not the only one...

Unlike the wortheless DoNotCall website which relies on your lazy State Attornety General do something (which they won't), the FCC does take enforcement action.  The FCC acts quickly and you will even get an acknowledgement letter in the postal mail in about a week or two.

When filling out the form, make sure you say that they are trying to sell you something so the FCC doesn't reject your complaint. It is illegal to call, regardless of what is said, if it is a prelude to sell you something, which this is. They are selling vacation packages.

I was called by a local business for over two years and my DoNotCall website complaints did nothing. I even sent a postal letter to my State Attorney General asking why they weren't enforcing it. Their office replied telling me to file a complaint at DoNotCall.gov. Gee, that's what I did for over two years and it did nothing.

When I filled out the FCC online complaint form, the calls stopped and have for more than two years. The company was warned first by the FCC but they kept calling so I kept complaining to the FCC. After a few months I got a letter from the FCC saying they took enforcement action and I haven't heard from the company since.

If you want, keep a log of the calls so when they call in the future you can show this on the online complaint form.  I just email myself the quick details with the date, time, and number of the telemarketer and keep it in a Do Not Call folder in my Yahoo mail box.

got the same message from Johnathon.  Called back and was asked basic information (name and phone number), I figured that when I do fill out stuff online I put that info in there so no big deal. The lady who answered told me she would take about 10-15 minutes to get all of my information and would call me back to confirm.  Haven't heard back yet but after reading all of this, it seems NOT to be legit.

Someone by the name of Jonathan called from a prize distribution center for the Grand sweepstakes giveaway saying I won a Lincoln Navigator and to call back soon then he gave the 18003931518 number. I called back and got a different guy who said he was on the phone with someone else and would call me back. I don't think he will call back.

Go three calles from 1-800-393-1518.Said I wone  a car , called them back and after a wile he asked for my SSAN. Gave hime a fake one and other false stuff. Haven't herd back from him. Good Luck fool

It sounded like one of those purchase property or time share deals. I even got an "official" confirmation number!

Jinathan called.  Lucky me!  I would have been happier if he said I has won a Toyota Prius or a Honda Civic.  A Lincoln Navagator???? The only way I would take that gas guzzler is if he was giving away lifetime gas too.  What a jerk!

Got a call from this number @ 3:00pm on a Friday.  Did not pick up phone but let them recite their message on the answering machine.  Wanted me to call them back at this number to claim a lincoln navigator.  Felt is was a scam and did an internet search on the number they gave me and found this site.  Same script.  Did not call them back since reading these responses.   I did lodge an FCC complaint on a link that was provided in an earlier response on this site.

Yep, you guessed it, this guy called us too!  Not even going to waste my time or energy on calling back the number - scam!!!

I just got a call from 708-808-3204. Name came up as David Johnson. Some guy Named Alex left a msg. saying I won a Lincoln Navigator, and left a 800# to call back on. I play so many online sweepstakes, I could'nt even remember if I entered one for this, but glad I did my research before I called him back. Why do people have to be so dishonest???? I wouldnt want the piece of crap anyway. Would have sold it!

heard at other posts, they try to get people to come down to claim prize and then have to commit to a "presentation on time shares" high pressure
