Okay, here's what is most likely happening: I work for the Florida state unemployment service. We get literally tens of thousands of people yearly looking to file for unemployment benefits, job search assistance, food stamps, etc. While we have a standing policy to safeguard the names and information of these people who look to us for help, it has recently come to my attention that there are a number of higher management types who, in one way or another, have made a list of these people's names "available", for a price, to numerous loan institutions and God knows who else, in order to make a fast buck. Today is the 24th. of February. Beginning tomorrow, some members of our department will be contacting law enforcement authorities and other entities so as to begin an investigation. The really sad thing is that this is just the tip of the iceberg. We have reason to believe that many other states are doing the exact same thing, due to the awful financial mess that they are in. But that is not a reason for breaking the law. Yes, hospitals, banks, insurance companies and others are doing the same thing. And yes, each one will sooner or later be investigated. But it takes time. In the meanwhile, we are collecting more and more information. How? We work for these institutions. We are the moles in the system. We will become their worst nightmare. Does the name Julian Assange ring a bell?

Just received call, filing with FTC, I am on DNC list and this  was an illegal robo call.

How do we stop this number from constant calling?  I am on the do not call registry

Received 2 calls from this number on my cell today - garbled message, disabled when I called back. Am on the Do Not Call List.

I got the call from this number (800-395-1428) on my cell phone at 10:39am today.  Like everyone else, I am on the Do Not Call List.  I simply hit "ignore" on my phone since there was no caller ID.  I suspected it was something just like this but did not have a chance to check it out until now.  I have filed a complaint at

number called, i missed call and message said something about pressing 9 if i wanted to be removed from their list, but then my husband calls me saying this same number called them and they were talking about the mortgage.

Same here.  I received a call from this number.  I have a new Florida cell # as I've just moved to the country.  My cell service is with a foreign provider called Red Pocket Mobile, so it seems as though it's not just those of you with a particular U.S. based cellular carrier.  Number was disabled, according to the pre-recorded message received when I called back.

Got the call at 9:39. Didn't answer it but the voicemail picked up in the middle of the automated options. all i heard was."..press one, if you want to be removed from our call list press nine." I'm in Florida as well. I'm on the do not call list as well.

Just started getting this call on my cell phone.  I do not give this number out to anyone but family and a few friends.  I was busy, so I did not answer.

Another Florida cell phone number already on the registry, another call from this number, another voice message that tells you to "press 9 to be removed from the call list".  Reported in the hopes that they will be stopped soon.

This number has called my cell phone twice - leaving a recorded message once.  All of my phones are listed on the do not call list.  All we can do now is report them.

Got two calls back to back. Didnt answer and the voicemail message was a pre-recording of "press 9 to be removed from the call list." I called back to a "temporarily disconnected" number...despite the fact it was only seconds earlier that i received the two calls. I'm on the do not call list!

Florida cell-phone too. Called 3 times this morning. Voicemail was partial garbaled message about mortgage. Temporarlily disabled message when i called the number back.  How do we stop this?? I am also on the do not call list.

That called my personal cell even though it is registered on a no call list.

They called my cell phone at 10:22 this morning and I did not answer, seeing it was an 800 # which usually means scam.  Thank you for the do not call website.  Putting my cell phone on there now too!

I got this call aroun 10:32 am. i answered and it was an automated machine. I have no idea what they talking about, so I hung up.

This number called me THREE times today. 9:45am, 10:25am, and 11:30am.

Just filed a DNC complaint on this number.  Although I did not answer this time, they (or someone similar) called about 6 weeks ago.  They are unlawfully disregarding the Federal DNC registration.  The previous call did not give me an opt-out during the recording, which is also unlawful for recorded messages.

BS mortgage spammer. Reported to DNC and blocked on Google Voice.

Recorded msg. started with 'Notice to all homeoners'.    This is when I That in when I hung up.   I am on the FCC's no call list.
