Yes I have relative who is going bankrupt. He has given lawyers info to two accounts. One legit but the other I'm not so sure. This number calls when he at work so I say call in afternoon. Today he has no work because of snow so he picks up phone and says hello yes that's me and they hang up on him! Twice this morning.
They call constantly, say they are calling from go green and then hang up. I seriously doubt that any real company hires people to make "hang up calls." Eventually they have to run out of money, LOL. Kind of wonder what person or company spends money to harass people. Wish they would just go away.
I do not have a credit card, But they call me any way 2 -3 times a week.
I rcvd cinstantly calls from this ph
TiredOfReeRees you must work for them your to calm....
I have been receiving unsoliticed calls from this number for three weeks, at least five times daily, and often at the most inopportune times. No one answers when you respond. What are these SOBs getting from these calls? This is harrassment no two ways about it.
Sick of the harrassment
Join me in contacting the Attorney Generals Office about these pain in the neck people who don't know who they really want but just hoping day and night harrassment will get them some resolution. Well news for you 1 800 395 2274 I have contacted legal aide services and the Attorney Generals Office so I am aware of my consumer rights. STOP harrassing people and follow the written rules of debt collecting or you will wind up paying!!!!!! 7:45 in the morning and 12 calls or more a day is totally unacceptable and illegal.
A simple and legal way to stop calls from hsbc or any debt collector,is a cease and disist letter certified mail,,,simply write them and tell them cease and disist and do not call your #xxx-xxx-xxxx...make sure you certify this by USPS MAIL SIGNITURE...and keep a copy for yourself....this is true whether you owe them money or not.... if they ring you again for any reason you can sue and get up to $1000.00 dollars. This is the true way to deal with it...i know....i got my money : ) and i owed them..hope this helps any and all that need it..
This is defiantly a scam. If you call hsbc's customer service line you get a completely different recording, never asking me for my full account numbers, just the last 4.
But I got fed up with this 800-395-2274 calling me all the time. I called this number back after they called 100 times in like 4 days. I waited on hold a long time, after not putting in my "whole account number" as the automated message asked me to. I finally got someone on the phone, who answered as hsbc, asking for my account information. I said, "I just want you to stop calling me." She said "I can't look up anything with out your information." I said "I'm not comfortable giving you that information because I read online this may be a fraudulent company collecting information." she said "have a nice day"and hung up.
I filled a complaint on the no call government website.
One additional note about HSBC: We have no, and have never had an, account with HSBC. We are on all applicable Do Not Call lists.
We have received many calls from this number; three so far today and it is only 10:30 AM. We have received more than 5 on a given day. We have not answered any of them and they have left no message. I am assuming it is HSBC according to reports here.
It was best buy reminding me that I had not paid on my card yet.
phil the ruh
I just got through to 800-395-2274
and put on 0# 0# 0# 0# over and over till it sent me to a representative.
then I waited and waited, and and waited to talk to a representative.
although he was probably half way around the world, we could communicate,
the cell phone number it was calling, was registered to someone else, and he said it would take it off the list,
so I got the representatives name, and thanked him, and asked for his supervisor, and thanked him also,
I had already called ATT and went through several "supervisors", I also called HSTC and went through several "supervisors" and they are associated with several credit cards and said they would call me when they got it resolved.
I have answered the phone but each time it says that all their operators are busy and please wait. They have called at least 4 times with the same message. How can I stop them if there is nobody there to talk to? I want to persue legal action and if someone has any information pleas let me know. Thank you.
Now that I have found out who is calling me I won't answer the phone. It won't make me pay my accounts earlier either.
Receive repeated calls from this 800 number. When answered, no one responds on the other end, then a click and dial tone are heard. Very annoying.
Please stop these annoying calls. They even have my cell phone number. This should be against the law!
What is this? I answer, and they won't. Silly.
I had 28 in one day from this number, never leaving a message. I was at work one morning and my phone rang 3 times in 45 minutes so I answered and asked the person to make it quick. I explained to him I was at work and he responded with "Then why did you answer your phone?" I explained that he had called 3 times in 45 minutes and I couldn't afford to get fired if they called 28 times like the day before. He continued to be real rude. These people do not care. All of this because the payment I made 7 days prior was not enough and they didn't want to wait another week for another payment. I paid what I could at the time and told them I would pay the rest on the next paycheck, which they were fine with when receiving my money.
None stop, no messages left, doesn't identify who they are and just rude.
this number calls several times a day even on Sunday and there is no one there when we answer. this phone is used for work so isn't it illegal for them to harrass us?
I thought calling on sunday was illegal? well they have calle today it's sunday 12/18/2011.
I get calls from this number all the time. They do leave a message on my voicemail.....some foreign person telling me their name and to call back at a certain number. It is really getting old.
It is a nuisance
well said sir!
I am a Canadian - what are they doing calling my cell number - they need to check their facts & see that they get the new phone number of the person(s) they are trying to hunt down'
They call 4-6x a day at all hours 24/7, computer calls, same as others state above. I once had a card from HSBC Bank, which was closed and paid off in 2001. Also, I found out that HSBC NV Card Services has been making inquiries into my credit report periodically. I am also on Do not call list. This is just total harrassment!
I just brought a phone for my husband today for Christmas. We have barely had the tracfone for an hour and this phone number has called 4 times already. When you call back it wants the four digits that is always invalid. Ready to throw the phone away.
I need these calls to stop
I use the iphone and call them back in conference calls. I call THEM like 4 or 5 times, linking them together with conference calling and let THEM hear their recording, and tell them to eat a bag of dicks when they speak! Whenever they hang up I just kleep adding calls to them to load up their trunk lines and waste the companies time, by keeping all their operators busy
