These folks put a collections on my credit report from a bill that was /is 6years old, they have told me I was going to jail plus other crap. I could live with the calls cause I just give it back to them but leave my credit alone if it doesn't belong on there. Also the number I get is 877-751-2026 from Shawn  Malloney should be baloney.

I recieved a call from this Steven whineburg as well threating me with violations station g he was with my county clerks office as well..its a fraud and scam

Phone number I just received a call from a Steve Weinberg threatening me with multiple violations. The number he calls from is 877-751-2026. He claims he is a chef officer of the fraud department working with GCR Associates. Looks like some of you received a call from this guy as will. Beware he may use a deferent phone number to try to trick people; it?s still the same scam.

They are doing it again and asking me to call 1-800-405-5292.  The number that appears on my phone is 1-877-739-1168.  And that i have 24 hours to call them.

does anyone know about green cirlce recovery and their scare tactics and calling your friends and family harrasing them.

I also recieved a call from a GCR and Associates by someone of the name of McCarthy.  He is claiming I owe money on a loan that I never took out.  I have yet to talk to this person over the phone, he leaves voicemails and tells me to call him back on 888-217-2942 and that I have officially been notified.  He did mention in the voicemail that he needed my adress to send a written notice, if this was a legit debt, which it isn't, this "company" would have my address, also another thing I would like to mention is if you google GCR and Associates, nothing shows up as it being a lawfirm anywhere that I can see and that they claim to be.  Don't fall for this scam and ignore their calls. Sadly they will move onto the next victim! Hope this helped!

They keep calling my number saying I owe them money for a pay day loan
I do not owe them anything.

I talked to a lawyer about these calls. Been getting them for 2 years now. I have requested information acording to the Fair Debt Collection Act and they told me they did not have to send me any info. I keep getting calls but nothing in the mail. They have threatened my family to have the police come and search their home. For what? My parents are in their 80's and have told them numerous times that is not my phone number. I have gotten calls from Ms Johnson, Agent Johnson, Inspector Johnson, Inspector Gadget, etc. They refuse to show me proff that I owe this debt, which I don't but will not stop the calls. Some how they were doing my former supervisor the same way. I called the police department because my parents were very upset. The police told me sounded like a scam to them. Something needs to be done to these people for harrassment. They do no follow the Fair Debt Collection Act.

They keep telling me the same thing.Ignore them or tell tehm to call someone that really cares!!!

They have been hounding me for months. They are scammers. They keep telling me they can't reach my at address to serve me and all this other stuff. HELLO--I LIVE THERE..IGNORE THEM.

I strongly believe that this is a scam. I received 2 vm messages today that were left for me over the weekend at my place of business. States that it is Steve Weinberg and that I need to contact them before 9pm to avoid chaving a summons presented to me at my home or work. Well, first of all he left the message on Saturday or Sunday so there is no way that I would have been able to make the 9pm deadline. Secondly, what law office calls you on the weekend and gives a deadline of calling them back by that evening. Thirdly, I have no way of knowing who they are or what monies are owed since he did not give me any of this information. Finally, if you are dealing with a legit company, they will contatc you via mail so that they can provide you all of the info that you need to make payment to them and to verify that the debt is real.....

So are you saying this guy is not who he says he is?  He called me and left me a message that i needed to call him before 9pm tonight and then he calls me at work and says i need to call him before 5pm.  (Flag #1)  Then he tells me that i got a pay day loan where the payment got returned because my account was closed, told him that was funny because my account is still open (Flag #2) then he tells me that my account number is and that was the routing number to my account and the routing number was the account.(Flag #3)  Then he says he will call me tomorrow with the paperwork (Flag #4)  Then I ask when was the loan taken out and he tells me some time in Aug 2010, so i look at my statements and there is no credit in Aug on my bank statement (Flag #5)

Law Dawg, is there ANY way to report these people to authorities? I'm willing to do anything to see these people shut down.

they called my mother in law regarding my debt! I filed for Chapter 7 last year and it was discharged with all my debts.  They are in volation! Verify, if your debt is vaild with them. they appear to be a scam - please review the Fair Debt Collection Act. Debt Collectors a limited! - but if you owe the debt - dont feel less of a person and get your control back.

calls my place of work with threatening tone and rude to my boss.....do they really think I would call them back?

Claiming to be legal department of ghr ltd., someone named Steven Weinberg regarding "multiple violations".   maybe it's meant to be a collection call or foreclosure or something? but a call back to the number is "brain circle recovery group" -- and google search shows it as number of a number of different realtors in niles, illinois. so what gives?  oh -- and the person allegedly being called is someone who has not lived at this number for several years but who has never been in illinois nor has he ever purchased property. some kind of scam? search for anybody by this name went back a few years and showed up with my number? identity theft? be careful if you get something from this number!
