This is a weekly call from Catherine's about their sales -- in the message it clearly states what to do to not receive the calls any more. I get them as I shop there and signed up for it

It was Catherine automated service... but now u need 2 press 9 to stop calls

You're wrong. The person who had my phone number before I did gave Catherine's AND Lane Bryant the phone number. Both places called me within about six minutes of one another. And the voice was the same. So both clothing stores are owned by the same company. When I heard what it was, I simply hung up.

This is Catherine's and they always leave a message about a special sale.

They give you an option to opt out. If they keep calling you, then report them. I find them very accomodating.

Didn't answer. Not in address book.....................................
What the Heck! 2012-05-04 03:02:57 Unknown
I see several messages with very incorrect information. Catherine's is a clothing store for women. If they call you, it is because you have asked them to contact you regarding any sales they are having. They are NOT a telemarketer. They do not call anyone who has not asked them to do so. I'm sure mistakes happen and telephone numbers are accidentally transposed. That could happen with anyone. These calls are automatic calls with a recorded message advising you about the sales they are having. If you call the number they provide to have your number removed from the call list, it will be removed. The thing I hate about it is that the name of the business doesn't appear on caller ID; it just reads, "800 Service." I can't imagine why a business owner would not want to have the company name provided on caller ID.

GENERALLY THIS NUMBER IS FROM CATHERINES ALERTING CUSTOMERS TO SALES AND SPECIAL EVENTS. WHEN YOU ARE IN THE STORE THEY ASK FOR A PHONE NUMBER IF YOU DID NOT GIVE THEM YOUR NUMBER THEN SOMEONE ELSE MAY HAVE GIVEN IT. IF YOU CALL THEY WILL REMOVER YOUR NUMBER.
Helen Newtown 2011-12-01 15:24:37 Unknown
the only way that they get your number is by you giving it to them....when you purchase something from them, they ask for your name address and phone number, and they are supposed to ask you if you would like them to call you for special promotions and such.
Helen Newtown 2011-12-01 15:22:02 Unknown
Catherines is a plus sized clothing store
JW 2011-11-17 17:21:25 Unknown

I never give my number out. I am not just getting this call. I suspect another company sold my info because all of a sudden I am getting many spam calls for many sales at stores.they are buying numbers

Wendy 2011-06-06 20:57:44 Unknown
Did not answer since it shows up as an 800# without a name.
Ina 2011-06-06 20:57:44 Unknown
Lately, I'd been discovering the same number (along with the name "800 Services") on my caller ID for months. When you answer, there is no one on the other end. It was driving me crazy!
Luckily, I found information on another site that solves this issue. 1-800-405-9462 is an automated sales message from Catherine's (plus size women's store). To be removed from their marketing database, just call the number back and wait to hear your options. To be removed, press "3" and when prompted, use the keypad on the phone to input your 10-digit phone number (area code + 7 digit number). It confirms that your number will be removed. Hopefully, this will put an end to those annoying calls.

I had a missed call from them, showed up the same as Wendy said. My wife is a Katherine's customer, so I imagine it was them.
Connie 2011-06-06 20:57:44 Unknown
Catherine's women's clothing will contact you if you are on their mailing list and sign up for the telephone calls. If you went online and opted in then you will recieve a call also.
P.Formwalt 2011-06-06 20:57:44 Unknown
Call came in greeted 3 times and hung up My next step is to call the NYS and Federal Call Annoyance Bureau and the Public service commission
Gerri 2011-06-06 20:57:44 Unknown
If this is Catherines calling about one of their sales, then they had better HAVE THEIR NAME ON THE CALLER ID. Only spammers and idiots refuse to show their legitimate caller ID name. No caller ID, no answer.

If you are on a computerized phone call list for Catherine's Clothes, call the following number to be removed from the calls: 800-405-9492. You then will be asked to select a number to be removed.

I want these numbers to stop calling 719-487-1221. I do not know who they are except Gov't numbers for political surveys, etc, and non-profits looking for donations.

Even one call is too often when you've told them you do not want phone calls from them. One of the problems is that they'll ask for a phone number and THEN ask if you want to be called. Some stores collect phone numbers to facilitate returns so people go ahead and tell them their real number. Once they have your number it doesn't matter if you told them not to call you, they call you anyway.
But you're right, it shouldn't be considered telemarketing since that implies cold calls where someone tries to get you to buy something immediately. This is SPAM.
Esther 2010-04-01 14:23:39 Unknown
Catherine's only calls when they have a special going on for their customers, they do not call all the time or on a consistent basis. They are a wonderful establishment and should not be considered telemarketers or such.
I have been a customer for more than 25 years.

They may be reputable, but they will not remove numbers from their calling list. Apparently if you buy anything in their store they have a 'business reltionship' with you and they feel they can call as often as they wish. They don't seem to realize that harrassing customers is not the way to get them to come back to the store; it's far more likely they will stop coming back.
Suz 2008-10-17 16:15:49 Unknown
Calling back to opt out is just too nice a thing to do I guess? You get em meanie!
Suz 2008-10-17 16:14:22 Unknown
They could of just misdialed? Or someone transposed #'s on their ap?
Suz 2008-10-17 16:12:20 Unknown
Now you have to press a few more numbers to get removed and provide them with your number - but it works! BTW - Catherines is a great store for plus size woman!
