Got a call from some jerko from this phone number.   I don't recall what he said his name was... but sadly he sounds like a handicap employee with a speech impediment.   I felt sorry for the sad little voice on the other end trying to sound big, important and powerful - something like a chiquaqua barking at a German Shepherd... where the Shepherd just looks down at the pitiful barkings of the chiquaqua and chuckles to itself.

Anyhow...  after playing their voice mail back a couple of times and laughing each time... I opted to not bother calling them back, in fear that I might break out laughing at the whiney, nasily voice that awaited me at the other end.

Tsk tsk...  my suggestion is to NOT bother calling them back at their 1-800 number.   If they speak to you then they will know they have a 'live' one and they will bombard you with automated wardialing every day.  If you ignore them... it sort of stumps them and eventually they give up and move up to harass some other sucker that actually responded to them.   It is sort of like groundhogs.   The groundhog that stays under the ground and unseen lives... the dumb groundhog that sticks his head out of the hole is the one that gets blasted.   Nuff said.   Better yet... change your phone number and totally shake em off

I recieved 2 calls from someone named Steve at that number within an hour, then another the next day from some woman, both trying to get ahold me in regards to some case number. Guess they can pound salt as I am not going to be calling them back after reading all of the above messages

just got a call from nco asking for my daughter and asked that she return her call and gave me this number 1-800-414-4359 with a auth code XXX718 her name was sandy. when my daughter called her back she had her name wrong and her adress. sandy then wouldn't tell her what it was concerning as she had the wrong person. my daughter did give her her birthdate but nothing else. Rally sounds fishy. think i will go to the police with this and see if they can do anything also to make a report so nothing comes back as identy theft, ect

Receiveing many calls from "Sharon" claiming that I owe a balance on the account - she sounds threatning and always leaving messages saying that it's an "Important business matter" - not sure about this since all my payments to Rogers are up to date - Am not planning on calling her!!

A lady named sandy keeps calling from the number, I do owe Rogers from a previous account but her voicemails almost sound threatening .. Is it a scam or a legit agency?

I'm in the 416 area of Toronto, I received the same voicemail - "It is important AND IN YOUR BEST INTEREST to call us back, refer to case # xxxx".  Wrong first name, correct surname.  This one was Julianne that called, haven't called back, don't plan to.

Left message re: "Urgent Matter" we've called back dozen's of times - ring, no answer.  Guess it's not so urgent or maybe their phones are down but we don't support phones...

the person they are looking for has the same surname as ours...so they are obviously on a fishing expedition...received a dozen messages over a month, on all days of the week and at all times of the day and evening, from a Mrs. Thoroughgood (also from Raj and others) they leave a code number...but  no other info

received a voice mail today, Dec 4 2010 asking meto call Lisa at  1 800 414 4358  Extension 2206. The  phone company said I couldn't make a the phone call from this area.
I suspect it  is a collection agency trying to collect. I tried to put my Rogers cable Tv and internet on hold for the winter since I was going away. I had waited 40 minute to speak to an agent. The agent said I couldn't do that until I paid up until next April. I then told them to cancel all services. They said I couldn't do that.When I took my internet modem back to a Rogers Office they  wouldn't accept it until I paid up until then. They had continued to bill me.I am too old to have rogers tell me what I can or cannot do. So I left the modem and walked out.

I cancelled my service with Rogers a few months back and paid the outstanding balance, however NCO keeps trying... If they don't stop, I'll track down this Ernie guy and pay him a visit... collection agencies are wrong to think that they can track but can't be tracked themselves! I got my resources!

Left message: Please call me (Ernie) at my office about a very important personal and confidential matter -- gave the phone number: 1-800-414-4359 X2971.  Gave no further info.  It's about a Rogers bill that I am disputing regarding the amount charged.  Has been calling constantly the last few weeks - caller ID shows: Unknown name, unknown number.

Received call from 1-800-414-4359 asking for "Marcel" who is not me.

I'm completely debt free, and pay my bills on time every time.  I got a call from this phone number with a case number to give them when I phone them back.  They've phoned me 4 times now and keep leaving messages not mentioning who's calling, or their name, and they mispronouned my name each time.  3 out of 4 of the calls were automated.  

I thought it would be fun to call back and play with them a bit.  I told them the name they were calling for is not my name and doesn't belong to anyone in my house, They asked if I lived at a particular address which was not mine. They said they'd take my phone number out of their database and protested that they were legit.  I do not for a minute believe that they are legit, and if I'm wrong, they have a lot of work to do on the service end of things to show any type of reputability and they've obviously from these articles above tried to scam many people.

I recently took over my boyfriends second phone line which used to belong to his brother. They have constantly been calling me about my sister in law and I told them they had the wrong number and to stop calling me.

If it is NCO financial...I used to work for them and they are not fake. They must be collecting from an outstanding balance on an account or they do credit card collections which I think they are calling for her on my phone about.

I just received a voicemail from an unknown number asking me to call them back at 1-800-414-4359, while also providing a case ID. They did not identify the business name, a contact person or a specific matter. I will not return this call as I do not have any outstanding fees and it seems extremely suspicious.

I've gotten 2 more calls from this number, one asking me to call back Mrs. THoroughgood, and another one unknown number, asking me about a rogers bill that i already paid. As I was looking for the information, I asked him again where he was from, he said NCO financial, so that set off a bell.
I didn't have the information on me to prove i paid it, and told him so, and he asked me to call him back when possible at 18004144359. As you can see from my post above, this number was already familiar to me. I told him I knew what he was up to, and called rogers myself in regards to my bill. Obviously, I owed nothing. Don't fall for this!

I just got a call from someone, saying this was a personal matter and they needed to speak to me, everything was just a recording, including the reading of my name. Very sketchy, I stayed on the line waiting, and eventually it said all agents were busy, and asked me to call back 18004144359.
Judging by these posts, I guess i won't call! :)

I got a call from them as well, and also from a real person that works for NCO.  She told me in the message she left to call her back as its a matter of Personal Business.  After researching the internet about this phone number 18004144359 I found a posting reporting they want to get my bank information to pay some bill that was with Rogers that I paid.

SHADDY!  Beware.

1-800-414-4359...they also called me and left message with some "case ID" which I am supposed to refer to when I called back. Did not mention nature of the call.

Left message asking for someone with my last name but with a first name that doesn't exist in my family.  Looked up the phone number on the internet and found a fraud report from 2003 reporting this as NCO Financial services out of the US who was trying to scam someone else out of their banking information.  I have not returned their call and don't plan to.  They've called twice now.
