I filled my form out at the Topsfield fair "Polar Express" booth. Just contacted for my free airline tickets. I'm going to check it out. Everyone is writing about how they are "NO CALLING BACK" or "OBVIOUSLY A SCAM" but nobody is attempting to claim the prize. I'll take a tour for 90min tops(so they claim) for 4 airline tickets. I'll report back and let you know

I got a call saying I had signed up for one of their prizes on a radio show website.  I should have known better given that the e-mail address they had for me was one I never give out to anyone for prizes.  I'm still not sure how they got a hold of my brand new telephone number or e-mail address.  Anyways, someone name Byron Glenn called and said I had won 4 free airline tickets and asked if I made over $75K.  I told him that I'm a full time student and my wife doesn't make close to that.  He said it's not a problem and all we'd have to do is to go to Ogunquit, ME and sit through a 90 minute tour.  When we got there, we actually had the blessing of being told by James that we weren't eligible to sit through his tour because we didn't make enough (even though we were assured that wasn't a problem).  After reading all this stuff, I'm glad we didn't have to endure their high pressure tactics.  I'm definitely reporting these people to the better business bureau.  Please, do yourself a favor and when they call, just hang up.

My boyfriend and I attended an airshow in Rhode Island and filled out the same forms.  They have been repeatedly calling us back insisting there is no catch for the 4 roundtrip flights.  Other numbers they have used are 877-819-5072.  His name is Jeffery Smith.  A VERY ANNOYING SCAM!! B and J

I also received a call from 603-581-1991, they asked thaat I call back 1-800-421-4213, the voicemail told me I had a "package" waiting for me.  I had signed up for a $1000 Home Depot giftcard at the Hillsboro Ballon festival.  I was told I would not receive any telemarketers call UNLESS I WON!!!  So for those who say this is not a scam, well seems you are a bunch of liars too.  It is very clear this is nothing put a list to get people to buy into a time share.  So please explain to me, those you see this as legitimate how they feel saying this crap is legitimate?

I was contacted by this "company" after submitting a raffle ticket to win $5000 in free gas at the Boston Auto Show. They called me 6 months later telling me the same story everyone else here was told. I won 4 free airline tickets to 31 destinations and had to go up to Algonquit, ME to pick up my tickets. I asked if this was a timeshare presentation and they told me no. They said it was just a 90 min tour of their hotel.

I asked them about the destinations and also if I had to use their  hotels. They said I had to use their hotels if I used the free tickets. I expressed interest in going to Vegas and asked about my hotel choicses there. They gave me 2 choices and their rates. MGM Grand Sun-Thu $169-199, Fri-Sat $199-289 depending on room size. Aladdin Sun-Thu $139-199, Fri-Sat $229-289. I had scheduled a time to go up to the resort, however after reading this site, I'm not going to bother.

FYI, they qualify you before they even let you visit. You have to be over 25 and also make over $40k year. This alone should show you that you haven't won any kind of "prize".

The calls started again today.
About 2 years my GF filled out a card from these people. We did go to their presentation but didn't buy anything. The 4 free tickets are totally legit, that is if you pay for a week stay at one of their resorts.
Every six months I get these calls and I always tell them to stop. Once I asked a guy to leave me alone and he yelled at me that I had asked to be called by filling out the card in the first place.

These people keep calling despite 5 requests that our number be taken off the list. I suspect they sold our phone number to another company because now we're getting frequent calls from someone trying to sell prescription drugs. So now I'm reporting them to the BBB and Attorney General's office.

Same thing happened to me (almost verbatim to John D.'s entry above). I found out through a review on Tripadvisor.com that someone DID have the nerve to go. Not only were they forced to listen to a 90 min. talk, but also a 3 hour tour of the area (Falmouth) in which they were basically battered by some jerk who was trying to sell them a time share. When they refused, he got angry, and wouldn't let them leave. The bottom line was that the "free" airline tickets were only available if you agree to stay at one of their resorts for a minimum of 7 days and you pay in FULL. I'm reporting this company, thanks for all the info above, John D.

I also went to King Richard's Faire this year and filled out raffle tickets for what I thought were free gas cards. I did ask who was sponsoring the raffle and was clearly told the name of the company and that they dealt with travel and resorts and were trying to promote themselves. They even gave some brochures for the company itself though I threw them away without ever looking at them.

This morning a message was left on my voicemail about me winning 4 free airline tickets. I called Lucille at 800-421-4213 x 9102 to see what that catch was. I read somewhere further on this thread that they make a fuss over last names and find it odd because Lucille made some chatty small talk about my surname too.

I was also told that I'd have to pick up the tickets in either Falmouth, MA or Lincoln, NH at one of their resorts. She also said that the NH location was about 2 hours from my home address based on my area code and that her company would provide an expense free overnight hotel stay. I told them that I'd call back and did some Google-ing. Pretty much every story I've heard is the same.

When I called back to ask them to take my phone number off their calling list there was some hemming and hawing. I told the woman who answered the phone to Google the name of the company when she asked why and that I'd like my number removed. She made two feeble attempts to keep me on the phone asking if I had looked at the company's website, etc. but I firmly told her to take my phone number off the list.

If I get one more phone call from them, I'll be taking the steps that John D recommends.

I know I was stupid to ever fill out those tickets

We were at the Topsfield Fair a few weeks ago and my mother-in-law filled out a form (in my name!) to win 4 tickets on the Polar Express Train since my 2 year old is an absolute nut about trains.  This morning I received a call stating that the application I had filled out at the Topsfield Fair had been selected and to please call back to claim my "gift".  The woman I spoke to was an absolute riot - a caricature of the used car salesman...even managed to sneak in a few comments about the area that I live in, which I'm sure she googled when she heard I was on the phone for her.  Anyway, somehow those tickets to ride the Polar Express Train in NH turned into 4 round trip air tickets and our choice of 31 destinations, etc.etc.etc......and they were a "GIFT" which is good because we won't have to claim any of it on our taxes at year end, blah blah blah.  Of course, we have to pick it up and we have two choices of places to pick it up, which is when I asked if this was one of those situations where I show up to pick up my "gift" and have to sit there for 8 hours listening to their hard sell about timeshares.  Of course not, she said, we aren't currently selling timeshares.....  I told her we would be unable to pick up the package and she told me she'd remove me from her computer but if anything changed to please call her back on the 800 number.  I remember my mother-in-law filling out the entry form, but don't remember seeing anything except a sign stating it was for a chance to win the train tickets.  Believe me, if I had known she was submitting my name to a call center I would have stopped it in it's tracks.  They need to be much more upfront about what they are doing, they are just ticking people off with these sneaky practices!

What I can tell you is that most of the people they hire are either recoving drug addicts, parolee's or overweight welfare cases.

The company collects their leads from events such as concerts and expo's. They call congradulating you that your entry was selected to recieve a package! WOW!!!!

Too bad that every entry filled out at the event was selected.

Oh and did I mention that theres a presenation?????

You'll usually find that the presentation involves very high-pressure sales tactics. Know that going in

It is amuzing to see all these comments here from paranoid people.  I have worked for this company for over 7 years it is a very legitimate company people enter at events 24/7 and it states in bold on each and every entry form that if you are selected for gifts that you will be contacted by phone.  So simple solution if you don't want a call and free gifts which we promise in writing, then don't enter any drawings anywhere.  And if you do want your gifts then call back. And the reason we show as a 603 number is because that is our local number and we give out our toll free number so you don't have to call long distance but we can be reached at both numbers.

I know this number and I know first hand they are a legitement business thats how they introduce what they offer to the public. 20 percent of the clients that tour there resort buy into one of there programs they offer the other 80 percent leave from the presentation happy they weren't pressured to buy anything, happy they recieved everything they were promised and come back for return visits and recommend them to friends and family that visit the area. Hows that a scam???

I just recieved a call from a 603 phone number and I won 4 round trip tickets but I have to stay (supposedly for Free) this weekend at an INNSEASONS Resort in New Hampshire and I was told don't forget to bring your credit card and or check book.  This is such a scam they couldn't even tell me where I signed up for this (if I even did) I hope together we all can bring them down.

This number is owned by InnSeason Resorts. The more I'm researching these folks, the more unscrupulous I'm finding them. They may be leeching onto your information on many fronts: bridal shows, home shows, or fairs. Their lines are 603-581-1991 and 1-800-421-4213 (Gilford, NH).

Recently, my girlfriend and I (both savvy young professionals) attended the King Richard's Faire in Carver, MA. About a 100 feet from the front gates to the fair was a white tent, a couple of tables underneath, and a couple of women dressed in Medieval costumes staffing the tables, calling out to fair-attendees, "Enter a raffle to win $5,000 in free gas - there are NO catches!"  I was, as usual, about to bypass this booth, but when my girlfriend heard the staff stating there were "no catches," she led me toward the tent saying, "What is there to lose?"  Well, later we would find out, we lost our contact information to a time-share company.

Anyway, we went over to the tent. There was only one sign at the tables, which read, "Enter to win $5,000 in Free Gas." There was a small raffle drum centered on the tables, and many booklets of small sign-up cards on the tables. Otherwise, there was no other signage, nor any reference to whom was sponsoring this raffle. (Turns out, it was the InnSeason timeshare company.) The women staffing the tables repeated to us and others there, "There are no catches. Sign up for a chance to win free gas. Don't worry, your names won't be added to any lists, and you won't be contacted by anyone unless you win the gas." Not one of them verbally mentioned InnSeason Resorts. So, under the impression we were entering a "strings-free" raffle, we signed up. We put our names, addresses, and phone numbers on the small signup slips, and then put them into the drum. As we put them into the drum, we noticed there was also nothing on the backside of the slips (i.e., nothing that stated we were authorizing anyone to contact us for any reason -- other than if we won the gas, obviously).

Egg on our faces. One week later, on a weekend, we began getting our first calls from the InnSeason telemarketers, leaving us messages about fabulous packages and airline tickets we had won on account of our entries into this raffle. I finally spoke with one of the representatives and expressed my displeasure with the outright fraud and unfair practices her company was using to obtain people's contact information. I insisted to be transferred to her floor manager. After a moment's pause as she found her manager, Kerrie Parker, (and following a background description by the rep to her manager of the scenario, accompanied also by some low laughter), Kerrie got on the phone. I re-ran through the scenario and my disgust with her company, and she claimed that there had to have been authorization language on the slip I filled out -- but my girlfriend's memory and mine are perfectly fine, and there was absolutely nothing there. Furthermore, those workers were clearly defrauding people through there verbal statements, and nothing in writing anywhere under that tent featured the name InnSeason Resorts.

Well, I demanded from Ms. Parker the name of yet another superior (namely, the person in charge of their field employees that staff these tables at different events), and she said she could only give me the number to the corporate office (which, for your records, is 508-957-1800).

To all those who were contacted/had your information collected under false pretenses by this company: I recommend you do all of the following:
1.) File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau;
2.) File a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in the state in which you live (as well as the state/region in which you were wronged, if different);
3.) Contact InnSeason Resort's Corporate Office at 508-957-1800 and express to them how upset you are with their practices - and that you have reported them to the agencies above;
4.) Post the details of your scenario on this site, as well as www.whocallsme.com

I intend to continue to gauge the volume of complaints I find here and on other similar websites to see how drastically this company has been purposely misleading people. Depending on the response, I may be reaching out to others in examining the possibility of filing a class-action lawsuit against InnSeason Resorts for their outright deceit toward consumers.

Thank you, and again, file the complaints; make the calls; and let's teach companies like this a lesson!

I recd a call from "Jeanie" who stated that I won one of the best packages that they have.  (I had entered a contest for a gas card at a recent music festival).  When I called back I spoke to Jeanie who read from a script that she was given about being able to travel anywhere and that I would need to go and pick up a package.
