I received the noted handwritten note saying "I have been trying to reach you. If you still sell life insurance call me".  

I never sold life insurance but I am licensed. I suspect he got my information from the Dept of Insurance web site.  The note goes into the garbage.

I got the same note sent to my home address. It looks to be handwritten, but was probably done by machine. I was suspicious before opening it, as there was no return address. It was postmarked Salt Lake City.

"Jude,

Thanks people, for the good warning posts.

They are a rip off group selling insurance and other products such as Mortgage Financing and several other things.  I went and talked to them a couple of years ago.  Worse then National Agents Alliance (if you can believe that).  Stay away from them.

I got the same thing from him a hand written nothing else note with a post mark from ut as well.

I received a letter from Salt Lake City, UT. From Douglas, "I have been trying to reach you. If you still sell life insurance call me."  Left his number 800-429-9262.  I am guess he got my info at the insurance website.

I got the same handwritten letter in the mail from Douglas. The letter didn't have a return address and it was postmarked in Salt Lake City on May 29, 2009. This is exactly what it said:

[My Name],

I have been trying to reach you. If you still sell life insurance call me.

(I called the number and the lady on the phone said that it was Douglas Nielsen's office and that he works for Federal Financial Group. She said that he is looking for agents to get more clients. She wasn't too terribly professional.)

I received a handwritten note too from Douglas saying that he's been trying to reach me and to give him a call if I still sell life insurance.  It was also post marked from Salt Lake City, UT at the same number as above.

I also received a hand written note from this guy.  I bet it's a scam.  This is great that people take the time to report this.

I received a handwritten note from a "Douglas" who said: if I still sell life insurance to call him.  I tried calling at 11pm, and a recording said an operator is standing by and to please wait. I hung up
