I just received a call from this phone number. They said my name and that this was a personal business and if it is not me stop listening to the call. They said that it was "Rachel" from Pioneer Credit Recovery and that I have a past due debt to the US Department of Education and that I need to call them back. The amount that they said I had in debt was quite a few thousand over what I had from my college education so there is no way this is legit, also as I have been making regular monthly payments towards my student loans. They called me to my work phone number.

The person left a message identifying himself as officer McCarty and I need to get back with him. When I returned the call, the guy asked who I wanted to talk to. I said Officer McCarty, and he said oh...and said the persons first name, and then I asked, what place is this, and he replied, this is Pioneer credit recovery, I'll transfer you over to him. I said you did a false representation of who you were and I hung up.

These people are calling my sister's mother in law asking for me.  This is ridiculous. It is PCR for student loans but here is the kicker, I have paid mine back so there should be any collections.   These people are very rude and are stretching to the limit calling people I see once a year.  Where do I go to file a report on these people?

surveillant,

It's amazing how intricately irrelevant details are weaved together by the paranoid mind.

Someone called a temp. agency i am layed off from asking about me. Her name was Tasha (which can be a dunning name) and left this number to call. She told them she was from prc Pioneer Credit Recovery. I worked for a collection agency before and we where not allowed to disclose the nature of the call unless we were speaking to the debtor. CLEARLY A VIOLATION OF THE FCRA. Job said they called last week also.

Some dude named Ian called my friend and asked if she was my employer (she's not, and she told him that). He identified himself as someone who was collecting on my student loans, which he claimed are overdue (they're NOT, and even if they were, they're not allowed to say that to just anyone!).

very suspicious...

Number on caller ID reads (862) 902-4457.  Tommy, caller, says he is with Union Quick Greenbacks and to have this (named) person call back.  Why lie about who you are, who you work for, and why you are calling?  If regular people did this, the phone company, FTC, and God knows who all else would have you fined and thrown in jail.  Unreal.
I bet if they had the opportunity they'd rather work for Donald Trump than the US gov't.

I was just contacted by the phone number 800-432-4457 stating that my student loan is way over due and that my balance is well over 30,000.00, he didn't state where he was calling from however he knew all of my information of what school I attended in 2007.  I never took out a loan with any other lender except Salliemae, I was told that a portion of my loan was sold to this unknown lender which I was never in default with Salliemae.  I don't understand how a 10,000 loan jumped to 30,000.
The lender stated that if I didn't pay up they would garnish my wages.  Something sounds fishy, what can I do about this.

This call was placed 5-19-10 to my landlord, on a phone I do not use, a number I do not have.  I am told the caller left a name and a reference number.  My landlord is fully aware that I do not receive calls on her phone.  If this is a collection agency, it is against the law for them to do this.  My landlord is a specious government informant, but the information flows in the wrong direction -- from the government to my landlord, and not the other way around.  (I do nothing to inform on, and never have.)  She has been passed information from my conversations with lawyers, meetings with lawyers, and what I look at on the internet.  Everyone knows this is not legitimate activity.  The caller supposedly lef the name "kristin".  It is the first time my landlord has given me a message from a call, although harassing calls are routinely placed from government surveillance.  My landlord did tell me she called the number to obtain information.  I thought this was a violation of privacy, but considering all the other privacy violations by the same landlord, should this be surprising?  The government previously used a collection agency to place calls from surveillance on me in the home, and this was in my bedroom.  The call was from a collection agency, and they used Sarah Palin's name.  I had been phoning lawyers about the government surveillance abuses, and this is what the government did.  Your taxpayer dollars at work.  I specifically identified the White House as the source of the abuse.  Harassing calls have picked up again since I filed a police complaint several weeks ago.  At least two calls were placed over references to slavery in my internet reading -- on on Wiki's Haiti, another on muslims in France (just yesterday)  and laws over the veil, attacks on women and men angry about being discriminated against because they are north African.  I kid you not, this is what these jokers are doing.  Sarah Palin?  I was calling the State Bar Association!  The company may be Pioneer Credit Reporting?  According to my brief internet search.  A previous incident involving a collection agency (I looked up the number) and the Palin reference was a company owned by CitiBank, the latter then owned largely by the government after the bailout.  They have offices in Bermuda.  I forgot to mention that the government had switched my voice mail, leaving a difference person's voice on my voicemail when they placed calls from a collection agency -- from the surveillance on me in the home.  I could keep changing my pin number, but it wouldn't do any good because it's the government.  They also had be enrolled in an organization for disabled persons -- a social networking site in Florida, and charged it to my account.  This was the government trying to make me appear mentally disabled by enrolling me in this network.  The network itself seemed very specious.  Every one of these coompanies faces civil and criminal penalties for this activity, and this is why the government doesn't want me to have a lawyer.

I have filed complaints about this activity, but the government -- including police -- have never interviewed me, nor has anyone examined my cell phone, requisite with a complaint of this nature.  I have never been interviewed. This is how the government -- and a collection agency -- gets away with this.  They are facing tremendous liability.

This number showed up on caller ID 4 times a day for about 2 weeks. Finally a message was left for my son to call back. Since he doesn't live here anymore I called back to tell them he no longer lives here so they can stop calling. I was then asked how they could get in touch with him. (Up till then he was speaking politely) When I told the man I don't know how to reach my son, he changed his tone and said, "Why don't you stop screening your calls and answer the phone." To this I said, "This is my phone that I pay for and I can screen my calls if I want to."  He then said, "Oh, I think you are mistaken ma-am, you don't pay for the phone bill, your husband Frank does." By this time I was totally ticked off. I told him it's none of his business who pays for the phone it's mine. He called me and he had no right to talk to me that way. He told me to listen to the way I was talking to him. I then said, "It's my phone and I'll talk any way I want to.  I'll screen my calls if I want to." He then said, "Stop screening your son's calls, he's 34 yrs. old and an adult." I then said, "He's not 34." and hung up.
This guy really went way overboard.

We received a phone call from the above listed phone number and the person was asking questions about our neighbor.  She said that she had been trying to contact them for some time and hadn't been able to reach them.  We told her that we weren't acquainted with them and didn't really know anything other than they had recently put their house up for sale.
