Other people have called from this number and never left a msg before. Today at 1PM Eastern I got a VM with actual content. He spoke too fast for me to understand the name of the company, but he referenced my name and student loan ( my VM gives my name on it).  I do have an outstanding balance on my student loan after being unemployed for a lengthy period of time, so this is not a scammer; at least, not in my case.

Had the same call from (877) 907-4530. My student loans went into collections and I am on a "restitution plan". I had to give the name am number of three references. General Revenue called me about the whereabouts of one of these references to "Touch Base" with them. They knew my name and the other persons name.

I had only used this google voice number to deal with Coast Professional Inc. and not any other company. Seems they are sharing a database of references around. My reference also owes on their student loans.

YES YOU ARE SCUMBAGS!! WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE YOU CALL REPEATEDLY WHEN THEY TELL YOU THAT NO ONE WITH THAT NAME HAS THIS NUMBER ANYMORE?? AFTER YOU ARE TOLD THAT YOU STILL CONTINUE TO CALL BACK BECAUSE YOU DO NOT LIKE THE ANSWER. Just got a call from this number asking about my ex....whom I haven't had any contact with for over 8 years......how the F*** did they even get my information in the first place.  I don't even live in the same state as him nor have the same phone number.  And why are they calling me to ask me of his whereabouts?  If they can find me....why cant they find him?????  

they kept calling my cell phone so i put a block on that #...it is crazy .... i look on the list of calls received & they still call at least 2 or more times a day.  i do get calls at home but my remedy for that is a good whistle.  it works for about a month.  when they call with a new number (this works with any undesireable caller) i write it down so when they call i have it written & they get an earful...it helps but it doesnt stop it all together..unfortunately nothing does.  if my kid would have paid her bills i would not be getting these calls.  like i owe them the $...i didnt sign anything nor was i a reference.  so why am i being called.  i call it harrassment!!!

Glad I checked her - I am in a payment arrangement with my student loan company after my forebearnce was up.
So not sure why this number is calling my parents phone - which now has a fax machine hooked up to it.

I notices during working hours this number calls when I log onto my computer. I am waiting to hear from the FTC as to what to do next. If everyone notified the FTC something can be done quicker. They are debt collectors not a Federal agency.

Where are you from? Around here, we use the capital letters only for the first letter of (some) words, and otherwise only to indicate screaming. You get nowhere screaming at people.

Student loans!!!! non stop calling, I had my loans deferred, the next thing I know, I'm in collections and they are hunting me like I'm in kill season! WTFFFFFF!!!!

I would agree these so-called collection agencies are scumbags. And also to the people who are telling people to pay their bills or to live within their mean, they must not read that many of these collection agencies are calling the wrong people, or calling because they somehow got their info and calling about a friend or relative who supposedly owes them money.  My complaint is that I've been paying off my Sallie Mae debt, yet these people keep calling me. I've gotten phone calls from multiple collection agencies about my Sallie Mae account which is up to date. Also, many of these "agencies" are obvious scams; these people have called my parents AND my grandmother. Never Sallie Mae, but random agencies who never give the name of their agency demand to know where I am and how to reach me. The other day, I finally answered one of the calls, and it was some extremely rude man, demanding all my info, including my SS number. I refused to give him my SS number and told him he was not going to get my info unless I knew who was calling and what for. The guy said his name was Greg, then said he was calling from a collections agency and that he gave me enough information, in fact too much. He then asked "Do you know understand, honey?" in such a sarcastic tone. I hung up. I don't owe any agency any "debt" besides Sallie Mae. And no proper agency would demand such personal information without first giving their info, etc. Many of these agencies are frauds, and it was obvious this one is. As is the 2 other that seem to call at all hours of the day and night.

Just got a call today from them on my cell.  The message said I was used as a personal reference for my niece and to please call Matt Olsen back.  Even gave a reference #.

Bottom feeders.  Calling about a deceased friend (dead near 8 years) about a debt they presumably own.  Since the estate has been closed for ~ 8 years there is no debt and no money to pay if there was.  

They won't take my assurance that the party is dead and demand I provided a certified copy of the death certificate.  I finally gave up and provided the address of the  cemetery and the plot number.  Gave them the phone number of the cemetery management.

Keep getting calls for a Robin or Betty  with my last name...from this number.  The girl is so stupid on the phone she keeps asking me if I am the grandmother.  That would be a challenge as I have a p***s.
Can't they just google the right number?  You can tell that these call centers hire the freaks that can't hold a public job.

It is illegal for them to call a cell phone if you tell them it is a cell phone that they cannot call. Document that you told them that and next time they call back have their records pulled by your attorney. They normally only keep recordings 60 days. Then you can sue for harrassment and any fees accrued from them calling on your cell.

11-26-2012  1:14pm just got my first call for this #.   Did not answer due to "Toll Free Calle"  after reading these reports will not answer for sure!  Have no student loans, have not given references. When I first purchased home, did receive mail form "David...." and did receive collection calls. Explained and calls  stopped after 1 year!  Now receiving calls for various names different names about 2 months they stopped.  Now this # has started, now that I have discovered this site, I am better informed and can take action.

Get yourself a smart phone. Down load a free app called Mr. Number.. and start blocking these bottom feeders, its been a great way to stop these a-holes from calling my phone..

Phone rang thought it was another co, just said hello, Caller asked for John Grisley and asked that I press #1 and there may be a slight delay, I just hung up since I am not this person and have never heard of this person.  Number showed up as "Toll Free Calle" and just the phone number as above. This come over landline not cell.

I received a couple of calls for a person who used to live at the address where I now live. They just ask for the person then provide a reference number. Not sure how else to convince them that she doesn't live there anymore. They are probably used to that line so they are suspicious.
