Called my business claiming they where doing a employment check. When the employ came to the phone they hung up. Sounds like a bill collecter.

Called us but asked for someone who didn't live here. Claimed to be from UPS.

Caller called my wife's cell claimed to be a job service company and wanted to know if she found a job, It sounds like a bill collector "sneaky"!

Caller called claiming to be UPS and asked for verification on our address and asked for a cell phone number. Another person contacted my fiances work to report that they had a package containing her W-2's, 120.00 in cash, and some of her personal papers. She just started her job and has yet to recieve her W-2's for the year. Watch out, this has got to be a hustle!!!

12-Dec Talked to my landlady, and she mentioned that she received a call from someone asking for a reference.  I saw another post here where someone's landlord was called so was immediately suspicious.
They called her at home, she wasn't sure of the number the call came from.  I'm sure it's related, but I would not have given out my landlady's phone number to anyone.  How did they get that, and for what purpose?

Called me saying they were from Nationwide Delivery Service, verified my old address, then repeated the new address, and just asked for year of birth which I did give. Never showed up to deliver what they claimed was a pre-paid package from Wal-Mart. The office number they gave was 1-877-421-4173.

They called on my cell phone, I don't have T Mobile, I have Verizon, they knew a lot about me.

Someone from this number called on my cell phone, and they said they had a delivery for me, but they missed me the other day. That's funny because I was home sick all week. They wanted to know when I would be home to accept the package from WALMART which I NEVER ordered. So I told them to return it to sender, they were very persistent, to deliver and confirm my information.

stated they had a rebate check from Sam's I told them no I don't have a rebate coming to me, she insisted I did, gave her only work address but knew my home address guess from telephone listings, not really sure how they got it, but called local police they say they want you to cash rebate check but it will only be valid after processing fees are paid $$$ then you can cash it usually $25 - $50 processing fee for several hundred dollar check?????????? to good to be true then it IS........SCAM

Called my mother from 866.280.7396 ,said they were "Best Courier Service" and had a "tax refund check"
Lets just say that she knew that was unlikely. Then someone called me from 800.437.9394 claiming to be UPS and have a refund check from"First Premier"(recently paid off card and closed account) and want my address. Asked what address they had and gave me 2, the address of my first credit card on which I was an authorized user on in another state and my mailing address (Mail Box ETC)
I said send it there, they asked for signer name or my cell. Right.  I Asked for tracking # and Phone # and name, all bogus. I'v had low scum collectors out of Rochester, NY (Brenda Kretchman, Eltman.Eltman, Cooper) harassing my mother before. This caller obviously had my credit report. And my mother' number which Kretchman  obtained by calling all w/ my last name in my towns phone book until they got a hit . Told my mother that I had taken out a credit card in my dead fathers name and now she's in trouble. Upset to say the least, not good for 85 year old

Caller stated they were UPS and were trying to make a delivery of a refund check to so and so (my husband's nephew).  Stated they had the address (mind you we live in a different town than the address stated)but did not have a phone number and were looking for one.  This nephew used to live in this property (we moved here 3 years ago) and is a deadbeat.

I said to the caller, I can't believe you people are going to these tactics now and hung up.

Funny thing is, we did switch to T Mobile a couple months ago...but what would that have to do with this deadbeat nephew?

i had this number call my boyfriend! the beginning... this dude called a month ago, but every time he called it was from a different number in my phonebook - my parents house - MY phone #. anyway, i didn't give him any info. it happened like all of the other posts. he had a check that he needed to have delivered though UPS. it started again yesterday with a call from my parents house and one from my work. then i got to work and they'd called me there. then they called my parents house. then they called me again....from my work - while i was there! the man told my sister he was with On Time delivery and he finally left a message for me saying he was with Express delivery.  i called the number from my boyfriends cell phone and the vm said it was On Time. they started calling again this morning - relentlessly. i got a phone call 'from' my boyfriend while i was staring at his phone sitting on the table in front of me. finally, after googling some more, they called my boyfriend again and he picked up.
this is the best part....they asked for me and he said this was not my number and they needed to stop harassing both of us.  the guy tried to tell him that he'd received my bf's number from my mom. totally bs because my mom hasn't talked to anyone but me about this stuff. my bf called the dude out on being a liar, constantly changing his story and for harassment. the guy told him 'well your idiot friend would give us her address so we could get this package to her.'  he told this douche to quit calling and he just kept going so my bf just started repeating 'quit calling us' and the man started yelling at him saying he just needed my address and then telling my boyfriend that he was acting like a paranoid 2yr old. and then just started telling him to shut up. finally, my bf said if you don't stop calling, i'll call the police- thank you good bye. and the dude hung up.

sidenote - i received a text from TMOBILE saying i'd changed my address. i called them and informed them i hadn't. they said 'i' had called yesterday to change it 'because i hadn't been receiving my bill'. i told them it was all bs and ended up putting another password on my phone so none of my info can be changed. and after the phone call last month, someone was checking my voicemail so i had to put a password on that too... maybe there is something to this tmobile thing.

I was called and the guy said I was to have an item delivered yesterday.
No delivery asked a lot of questions that I didn't answer. I nevered ordered anything!

Maybe some who work for the T-mobile company expose out information out?

This guy said he?s from FedEx in Allston, sounded like an Asian fellow,
He said,    he had two packages that needed to delivery to me,
But these days I haven?t order anything online,
I don?t how he got my old corrected information,
Such as my old business name address and the old home address.
He kept indicates that because I move there is still packages for me that need to ship and sign for.
My old information was five years back then.
For there,
I may fall for the trick because I was busy shopping with my family at Wal-Mart,
I gave him my work information only,
He kept asking to the end for my new home address,
I said,        if you have something to send to me,    send it to my work address,
Then I leave this phone call matter till I get home and do ?Investigates? for myself.
Turn out to be not what he says he was,
At least,    he?s location is not correct.

my mother got a call from them saying they were ups wanted to know if i was home to sign for a check does anyone know who they are

2nd time they called and left message on my cell phone and home phone(800-437-9394, ask me to call back on 866-593-4287 which I never did). First as Chicago delivery service, second time as Illinois best delivery. First call was asking about my current address ( moved 1 year ago) second time they somehow had the new address asking when someone will be home for delivery or to call back with new address and phone number. Also left weight of the package and tracking number. First time they called was also something about job application which is $@%&. Both time same man with an accent.

I moved to Las Vegas two years ago, this number called my Mother today looking for my telepohone number requesting they has an important package.  Company claimed to be Best Courier Service in America.  When attempted to return the call (my call could not be placed) then my home number rang with a guy claiming the same information from 866-593-4287.  Said he needed a birthdate as a password for the driver.  When I began asking questions, the caller hung the phone up.  When I called the number back... again the same thing as my call could not be placed.

SOMEONE CALLED MY CELL NUMBER WHILE I WAS AT WRK AND ASKED FOR MY MOTHER AND I ANSWERED AS IF I WAS HER. MADE THE MISTAKE OF VERIFYING MY HOME ADDRESS FOR A PACKAGE TO BE DELIVERED TO HER? WAS ASKED ON A TIME FRAME THAT I WOULD BE HOME AND IF IT WOULD BE EASIER TO HAVE IT BROUGHT TO MY WORK SO I GAVE THEM THE WORK ADDRESS. THEY CLAIM THAT THIS PACKAGE IS TO BE THERE TODAY. I AM PRETTY SURE SINCE I CAN NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK THAT IT IS NOT A REAL DELIVERY PLACE AND THAT I AM BEING SET UP FOR MORE FRAUD.

Received call from this number today asking for me and someone else's name (whom I told her did not live here).  I asked her to repeat the phone number she was trying to reach and she repeated my number.  Said she was calling regarding a job - asked what type of employment I was looking for.  She had the last 4 digits of my SS# - how did she get that????  I told her I have been a stay at home mom for over 7 1/2 years, so my resume is nowhere on the internet!  She said my info could have come from 4 different sources.  Sick thing is I gave her my birthdate, as she said a driver would be coming to my door with a package and needed a password.  Ugh!  I am college educated and know how to avoid scams...how the heck did I let my guard down with this gal????

My parents received a phone call today, looking for me. They stated they were from National express delivery and had a refund check to deliver tomorrow when they would be in the area, they even left a tracking number.
the number they left was 866-571-2243.

I also live in Nevada.  This is nuts!

I received a call from this number, claiming to be UPS, saying I had a refund check.  They asked my birthdate for security purposes, which I gave.  They verified my home and work address.  I called back, the response was a recording saying that the call could not be completed as dialed.  I feel like a fool.

Amie called me while busy so I asked her to call me back at a specific time.  She did, but it was 40 minutes late.  She told me that saw my resume online and was told to call me to see if her headhunter company could help.  I asked her where she was calling from which was an Illinois calling center.  We spoke about what I was looking for in a career position and said they could definitely help.  Asked for my address to send me a packet via Fed Ex containing all the jobs and procedures.  She stated that the employer pays their fees and she is just helping me which was great because I am actively looking for a new job.  The package never came and neither did the follow-up phone call.  She has my address, phone number, birthdate, cell phone number, and if used I am fully protected in case of ID Theft. How did she have all this information?

Called my job as UPS and I actually gave them the address where I work and my birth date. Wish I hadn't...
