stop clling

as with all of you I also received this call the 800-438-2427 and they left a message advising me that they were from charter communications and they wanted me to know that my account information with them had changed.  I in fact did change my personal information the previous day.  They had also emailed me to let me know of the change.

This is from Charter, I also just got an internet pkg from them Yesterday they called & a recording said someone had changed my e-mail address, so I called Charter & was told that it must have been a mistake as I had not yet set up my e-mail account. Today the same # called and when I answered it sai"Please continue to hold" so i hung up. It's turning into a pest so I will call them & have my number removed or block this.

How can you stop this?

Anybody knows how to stop them calling me MY CELL? My cell phone number is also on the DO NOT CALL list. I will never purchase any internet service from Charter any more.

Our daughter was trying to pay our Charter bill as I'd forgotten to & was out of town. I accidently told her to call 1-800-GET-CHARTER instead of 1-888-GET-CHARTER, so she called me to tell me it just kept saying 'All circuits are busy, pls try again later. Announcement code (couldn't understand part of what it said for this)'.

After this happened every time she called this wknd, I called Charter myself when we got home & got thru on 1st try.  I asked the service rep if there'd been problems w/ their phones & told her what had happened & was told it is a call checking if your installation of any Charter service you recently got went ok, but it is not Charter themselves who call. The reason for the silence is it a computer generated call, after you answer the call its suppose to transfer to a live operator to speak w/ you, but she had no idea why anyone would get the circuit busy message or silence & hang up, & it should never be a sales call

this number showed up 1800 service so i long onto my voip account and blocked them.

When I searched this number it came up with middle of nowhere Wisconsin.

Just got a call from this number.  A man asked me to take some time to answer a few questions about my Charter installation.  I told him I had already answered the recorded survey questions so he apologized and hung up - whole call only took 40 seconds.  It seemed kind of sketchy since he wasn't terribly professional (not like he had a memorized list to repeat) so I started looking around.  He called once today to my cell phone at 2:39pm.  Will write more if he calls back.

Received a call and after answering only heard 30s of silence then the call ended.  I also suspect Charter as I just got internet from them.  Probably trying to do a customer service survey or something that's not working.

I had one at 614pm and 723pm. Now that I know who it is i'll answer it next time and get the sales pitch over with

Got a call today from this number and they did not leave a message. I recently got service with Charter but another company claiming to be Charter tried to set us up first. I am wondering if it is from them. When I tried to call it back a message said it was "not a working number."

Spoke with charter, this company is NOT contracted by charter and should not be soliciting for them.

They are a national call center for Cable Companies, they claim to work for both comcast and charter communications, it took the lady a few minutes and I had to ask the basic question of "who are you with?" using different wordings each time and finally she told me. She said they are contracted by these companies to call people and pretty much solicit new service, however she worded it differently because as we all know Telemarketers are not permitted to call National DNC subscribers. If you receive a call contact one of those two companies, because chances are they just sold your information.

I guess this is OfferWire. I get 2 calls with no msg. When I called back, the rep was totally clueless about what I was talking abt and claimed they didn't do outbound calls.

I have no idea who is calling, but i recently ordered charter internet package. and since we had no home phone available i had to use my cell number. I hope these calls stop. So far just 2 today 11:40 AM and  4:20 PM, I did not answer, no message was left.

Got one call so far. I don't answer unsolicited calls and identify calls I accept. If I don't place a call to a number, it never gets answered, unless I know the area code and believe the call may be legit. I have Charter, very recently. From my experience, incoming 800 numbers are usually bad news.

SAME HERE.  CHARTER... i hate people calling my cell and i got 5 calls from them today with no answer or voicemail.

So this person called me again around lunch time and the first call was around...9AM.

A lady actually came on and asked me how my internet installation went. She was really friendly and not pushy or trying to push any extra package deals on me. She just asked if I had heard about the Reward Program they have and I just told her that I read about it already.

Then she simply told me Okay, have a good day!

It wasn't that bad but if it keeps continuing even though I already picked up, I will probably call Charter myself and remove my phone number.

Just got a call from this number as well. Rejected it to see if message was left and no message was left.

Now that I know it's from Charter - I will have to call them to not call me. I just recently bought an internet package from them.

Just got a call from the number. No talking was heard.

This number calls my cell phone 8-12 times a day (for the past 15 days) from 7:00 AM through 2:00 AM. The call appears as "Unknown" on my phone. However, on my bill it has this number. I have called this number and get a recording but none of the prompts work. I want this number to stop. Please advise. Thank you.

Frequent calls  with no message.........When I called back I was told my cable co is trying to reach me and automatically connected me to Charter Communications.. They had no clue what I was talking about and said they were not trying to call me.....
