It is a fraud on their part, who calls someone and says you are going to issue a felony warrant for your arrest and doesn't just doe it? I got the same phone call just now.......guy is an idiot. Don't reply to the message, it is fraud and they are breaking the law and they know it. FDCPA prohibits them from "impersonating a law enforcement agent" and also threatening jail time and arrest. I won't even give them satisfaction of calling them back because when you do, they then know they have a  "good" number to threaten you at but DO CONTACT YOUR AG OFFICE.

I got a phone call from 713-261-1366. His name was Thomas Curren a privet investigator trying to contact me because he was sending people around to my known place of employment and all last know addresses and families houses. I call him back. He told me that I had 2 felony warrants out for my arrest and that I will have visitors today. I asked him what it was about. He said that I took a payday loan out from payday loan trust. and that my bank account with intrust bank received a large amount of money. He did not state how much money. I then told him that I never banked with intrest bank. He also said that I closed my account right after i received the money. I never took out a payday loan or banked with that bank. He knew all kinds of information about me but it was really old information. I started asking him questions like what company he worked for. I also asked for the information to be sent to me. He started saying that I was going to have a very bad day. He would not give me any information and then hung up. I called the attorney generals office and told them everything and they said it was a scam. Do not give this people any information. I have also been contacted by a Mr. Brown.

A guy named Jim left me a voice mail saying that a file was assigned to his office that he needs to review for some location information in it regarding someone I know. The file has conflicting information in it, so he couldn't leave details on my voice mail. Wanted me to call back at 866-247-5865.

I just got a call from this number, I let the call go to voicemail and the message said that Mr. Davis (no company name given) is trying to contact someone (no name given for who they actually wanted) regarding a very urgent business matter... Should I call back? Because this sounds like a load of you know what to me.

Yeah right.  You must work for the company.

Scam artists to the extreme.  I've had several calls from people claiming to want to know my address to "serve me papers".  They have yet to show up.  When you start talking to them on the phone what they'll do is try to scare you into giving them money, they'll want a payment of X amount of dollars right now, not later today, but right now, or else they'll send someone out to serve you papers.

I've had papers served to me before.  What the real people who serve papers do is not tell you when and where they'll meet you, they'll show up at your house and wait until you get home then confront you on your porch and serve you papers right then.  They do not call up and ask you for your address.  

I can't say if this is a total scam, as in the debt might possibly be real.  But the tactics these people use are despicable and if you are an honest person you might be scared into paying them if you don't know any better.  People get scared when they hear mention of getting served.  

Stand your ground and don't let them scare you.

I have received about 6 calls in the past month from whomever or whatever company... they act like its urgent and I need to call back.. I never call back and when I see its an 800 # I dont answer either... they can keep calling cause I am NOT calling them back.. its a scam...

Bull..SHT,,if you had an inheritance coming your way you would have been contacted in writing or telephone call from an attorney. Nice Try though!

These people use scare tactics. Do not under any circumstances give them any information on yourself or anyone. Record and keep the messages. They are not process servers. I've forwarded calls to local PD, Attorney General's Office and Federal Agencies, including FBI. They are scammers and do not identify themselves or where they are calling from. Anyone responding on this web that they were served by a Processor Server work for these scammers. Sheriff's Office, does not have process server on their cars. I've turned it all over to an attorney, who is doing some investigating on these scammers, and low lifes.  If anyone on this site said they were served with by a processor server they are outright lying. Don't even answer their calls let them go to voice mail and record and save to turn over to the authorities.

lol just got this call from"mr williams from the legal dept" left me a message on my voice mail saying that he has some "sensitive information" that he cannot leave on my vm so to please call me back..so i did and then i was transferred to "supervisor george" that works in the enforcement dept. so george went on his rant about some old-a** payday loan that is 6 years old and unless we work out some payment arrangement he will send out some officer to my house "with a sealed envelope" the next morning i need to write down some information..i said "ok george i will and now you write down this information...:"when you send out the officer to my house please make sure he stops at the 7-11 on his way and to tell him to bring me a cup of coffee, cream and sugar, a pack of newports and some skittles..don't have him come to my house with the "sealed envelope in one hand" and the other hand is empty without my coffee, skittles and my newports.."  he then said some crap saying "we're not playing around here mam, and I said me neither he better not come to my house without them !! then he hung up...i called back and said the next time you call me this will be recorded and forwarded to the local authorities and the FCC he hung up before I finished..don't let these scammers intimidate you the next time they call you tell them ok let me record this call first before you say anything then i will send the recorded call to the proper authorities..do your research about your rights and learn them then let them know what your rights are see how far they will go..they know they not talking to someone that was born yesterday...or if you have a little time on your hands or just plain bored have a little fun with these mafukahs i do..

If you have a Facebook account they get info on your friends, get their numbers and call them about you not paying your debts which they think the whole scam looks even more real, but of course we all know better.
Choose your Facebook security settings carefully.

Who knows better than you if you have any debts, warrants or any legal action against you.

Don't be fooled by the "Investigator" title. They aren't anymore of an investigator than my Aunt Tillie.
It is just part of their scare tactics.
They are terrorists plain and simple and need to be reported as such to all Federal Agencies.
If any of you had a debt that is late or has not been paid you would be the first one to know. Same goes with traffic tickets and everything else they people claim they are going after.
Google is very helpful in situations like this. Look up payday loan scams, legal processing scams and so on. Look up any suspicious phone numbers that go along with the suspicious phone calls.

Is anyone interested in joining a class action lawsuit against i recovery llc? They are in violation of many fdcpa laws and can be sued for up to $500,000. I have repeatedly asked them for validation of debt which they cannot provide... I have asked them not to call during work hours, which they do. Also, the debt they claim to own is past the statute of limitation. They have harrassed me for over a year and I will be filing suit against them. Lady named Lori just called from this number and left a message for me to confirm information on someone I know but she wouldn't say who they were trying to find.  I called back and got a manager on the phone who explained they were hired by an attorney that's trying to find my old roommate.  They already had his name, SSN, DOB, job history, etc., but they needed his home address so they could send a process server out to sue him for a car accident he caused in January.  Not bill collectors.

Dont let them SCARE you dont give them no information dont VERIFY S*** for them who are they to call you out the blue and expect you to give the a payment of something you know nothing about if they have all the information WTF they callin for LOL please its a scam.. and no one can threaten or is suppose to threaten you and tell you that the cops are coming etc its all foolishness

this number has appeared on my caller id several times but no message.  i decided to call them back, they're looking for a thomas henderson about a car accident someone is suing him for but i don't know a thomas henderson, wrong number.  i think these guys were process servers ?

"Harvey" left a message claiming I really need to get in touch with his office, due to a file that was presented to him. I have no idea who he is, I returned the call and all i got was a woman saying they need to contact a person and this is what they have to do. I explained that she no longer was employed in this office. and we did not know where she was at this time. is this legal???

got a call from this number asking me to verify my ex-wife's address, process server looking for her to serve her a lawsuit for unpaid court fines.

a SHERIFF's PROCESS SERVER just knocked on my door looking for my next door neighbor.  I wouldn't give him any info but I asked if he could give me info in case I found out something.  He told me to call 800-441-8334 to give any information about my neighbor.  I Googled it and found this site.  I'd like to think it's a scam but this was an actual SHERIFF that knocked on my door with his patrol car parked directly in front with the words "Process Server" on the side of the car.
