Message from 'Philip Woodling' call back 800 443 3069
Says call is from debt collector, not telemarketer
Doesn't say what company he respresents!
Says he needs call back to 'verify my intentions'
but doesn't say what business call or debt refers to!

This person leaves a message stating that there is a "situation" that needs to be taken care of in his office.  Does not even leave in the message to whom the message is for.

To irrational -     Obviously you have been brainwashed and trained to say what you did to all the ones on here.   Some people on here do not even owe anything and STILL get harrassed!  What a nightmare.   There are situations especially when the gas (which is a ripoff to us) went to 5.00 a gallon!  Good honest people who were able to previously pay their mortgage payment could not pay any longer - it was either buy gas to work or pay their bills.  Food prices and everything else started climbing higher and higher until finally people had to make a decision - either eat, get to work OR, give a 50.00 payment to a rip-off credit card company only to have about 16.00 of it going towards the principle!   Lots of people don't read the fine print and get ripped off becaue the CREDIT CARD company DO NOT EXPLAIN it to them before they get the card.  They send tons and tons of card offers in the mail because they buy or steal people's mailing address - and then when you do take a card, they start harrassing you IF you miss one paymenT!How stupid!   They should work with people and they also DO NOT MAIL their statements on time so people can get them in time to pay - here goes a late fee of 39.00 then an over limit fee where the LATE FEE put you over limit and on and on and on! So, I say the government shoud do away with ALL credit card companies and NOT ALLOW anyone to have them.  Bank cards (such as an ATM is ok) but otherwise - use cash or checks!  Put the mean cruel credit card companites out of business for good INSTEAD of our hard-earned TAX DOLLARS going to them in the stimulus pkg! The can WRITE off any amounts owed to them and they get a break PLUS, the vultures and mean collection agencies just sit and drool at the mouth WAITING to jump on one of these charged off accounts (especially at tax time) to take any extra money one may have!

They are NOT "con-men" by far...some of the collectors are uneducated and resort to harassment....but they obviously never get paid and give the company a bad rep....however those people are weeded out and discarded almost as soon as they walk through the door. The collectors for the most part want to help you. The company is hired by many different creditors to recover your deliquent debt...Its just your way of thinking that ruins people's credit and in some cases causes them to wind up in a lawsuit with the creditor. The best way to find out about this company is to contact the creditor they claim they're calling on behalf of and verify throught the creditor that they are a legitimate company and that they are handling the debt. You can negotiate payment arangments from there. In most cases many of these debts can be settled for pennies on the dollar.

Maybe if you would listen instead of calling the company and screaming into the phone you really would get to the bottom of it. If its a wrong # act professional....stay calm and mature and request that your # be removed. Yes, its that simple. Its not a scam....they are actually collecting for clients that hire them (your creditors) to recover your deliquent debts. Scam no....vague, yes but as I've noticed by reading all of this you people made these tactic due to your aviodance of your legal and moral responsibilities! Collectors wouldnt have jobs if you paid your bills instead of avoiding it and pretending you didnt basicall steal $$ from the creditors. Avoiding them just comfirms that you have no intentions of repaying the debt....and technically your a theif then.

I have received phone calls from this # for the past 2 days.  The man stated his name as Robert Radisson.  He left a message on my machine on day 1, he didn't even have the right name for me.  This is a scam if you ask me.  When I called the # I heard someone pick up and I heard people in the background.  Never did they say anything while I was screaming hello into the phone.  He then called me back right after this.  I told him the name he used on the answer machine was not my name.  Then he asked me some questions which I would not answer and then he hung up on me.  Huh, pretty obvious that this is a scam and is not funny at all..........

I got the same message, only it was from Phillip Woodson (last name ?) and also from a Robert Farance (last name ?).  Stay away from these people.  When I finally called the number, to get to the bottom of the whole thing, I was verbally abused on the phone simply because I asked a few questions and then asked to have my number removed from their lists.  This has to be a scam of some sort.

Yes. I got the same call. This time he stated his name as Led Slider or Sneider...couldn't understand him.

The number he left on my voicemail was 800-443-3069 ext 3116.

Caller ID: 716-650-6240

I've gotten the same message multiple times with the same voice of a man but different name each time.

He'll say "Hello, _____." My name is Led Slider or Sneider. We are going to have a meeting about your account this Wednesday and make a decision. But I wanted to wait to hear from you first. Please call me back at 800-443-3069 ext 3116."

He never states what company he's from or what account he's talking about. He almost tricked me into calling him until I found this blog on the website.

They initially called my parents instead of me, though my dad and I share a common name.  I traced from the original creditor and was transferred to this company.  In my case, it was a debt being collected that originated at HSBC.  According to HSBC, they are legitimate and I was transferred from HSBC to this company--National Action Financial Services--in order to settle my account.  HSBC assured me that this was the only way to settle my debt.  Though their techniques leave a lot to be desired, they are legitimately collecting debt that we have built up.

Threats, lies, intimidation and other assorted illegal activities. These misfits of society earn their money the HARD way, they break the law to do it. Keep both hands on your wallet, these over-paid and under-worked clerks are worse than a Buffalo blizzard. These collectors think that being a 'con-man' is a compliment. Stay far away from these Buffalo Bandits!

Another underhanded tactic from a collection agency.  They claimed my spouse was involved in a legal matter in 2004 and needed to speak to him immediately.  I am permanently disabled and have been separated from my spouse for almost two years.  I wish they would stop harassing me!

Frequent calls from these people, mentioning a "situation" that needs "immediate attention" and so forth.  They never state the reason for their call, only some thinly-veiled references.  The gentleman leaves his name as Adam Vogel.

It's clearly a bill collector, as I have endured some severen financial struggles for the past year.
