Called me, and when I called them back to see who they were they said they were a finance company. I asked them why they called they wanted personal information. I told them they were scammers and this seemed to upset them, like I really care about upsetting a bunch of criminals.

They've called me numerous times but never left any messages. Twice I've called them back because they used a different number and I wanted to know who they were and why they were contacting me. They asked for a different person both times I called. I asked to be removed from their contact list and just received another call around 11 this morning. A complaint has been filed with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. My debts have been resolved for months, so there's no reason they should be attempting to contact me to begin with.

Under FDCPA they are required to identify themselves and the purpose of the call, in a lot states they are required to read you the mini - miranda to inform you that they are trying to collect a debt and any information obtain will be used in that collection effort.

Do not confirm you name for anyone asking for you regardless if it is this company or not if they can not confirm the purpose of the call.  To other people on this page, make a record of when they called, any type of verbal or written cease and desist given to them and the dates.

Most of these agencies give the collection agencies 30 to respond to the compliant as to why they are not in violation of the FDCPA, after that they start issuing fines.

Turn the tables and make their life hell.

Nco is hired by companies to collect their debt for them. They are only going off of the information that company provided to them. The easiest way to stop the calls is to answer the phone. If the person they need to speak with is not you, tell them and they remove the number and stop calling. If it is you then pay the bill or make payment arrangements. If you already paid directly, then tell them, again, they get info from the company you owe so it is that company's error, not NCO's. If people just paid their bills there would be no need for debt collectors.

Unwanted calls.  

These people keep calling me everyday, several times a day. It is completely annoying. I did answer a couple of times, and the person that I talked to could not give me any specific details as to why there were calling. I blocked the number, but they keep finding a way to call me back.

They started calling my house and cell phone a couple days ago leaving messages for someone who does not live here. Caller ID states NCO Financial.

Im outside of the USA, in Canada and had a message left on my answering machine. I have a cousin who lives in Florida, im her emergency contact.  i tried calling the number back but no answer. 1-800-448-0066

Another crappy company that calls and BOTHERS me during the day when I am trying to work. Hey, here is a hint: we'll call you if we are interested. Until then, LEAVE US ALONE

I just got a call from these people, they hung up after I answered, must not be that important if you call and hang up! To my reject list the number goes....

I just keep hanging up on them. Especially since they call at odd hours - they called at 0845hrs today.

This number just called me.   Left a message, saying they're required to say they're a collections company.

I have only student loan debt, which I have never been late in payment.

After reading all of these posts, I refuse to think there is anything legit about whatever this "company" is.

I was harassed by this company when they were calling me 3 times a day.

I hired consumer rights lawyer Jason Shear in Buffalo, NY and we sued Allied Interstate.  

I received $1,000 and the calls ended!

Woman rushing through a script (on my voicemail) telling me I owe debt and have to call her back.  She doesn't know my name, she doesn't say what the debt is for, also slurring the name of the company so you can't quite make it out).  I don't have any debt!  Debt is against my philosophy.  Her voice sounded really frustrated, as if she knows full well she's in the wrong for doing what she's doing trying to catch suckers into paying for debt they haven't incurred.  

But she's gotta make ends meet to feed the baby I guess so she holds on to the job.  I suppose it's better than prostitution.  

Don't respond to them and they'll find their way onto a more promising sucker.  There is a sucker born every minute so it's only a matter of time.  If it's legitimate debt they will use the snail mail and you won't be able to shake them off.  Call them back and they may hound you for a bit using psychological tricks, they also use "feeler words" to detect suckers by using wrong words in wrong contexts, sensible people see it and hang up, thus saving her time finding the true sucker who doesn't know how words work.

Someone should start a class action suit.  Start talking legal terminology with the lady and she'll hang up so fast your head will spin.  She's not interested in getting her scammy little organization exposed, she wants a dumb sucker to part with their money.  

Nobody ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the American people.  Like the proverbial mold on the proverbial bread.  It grows so long as it's left out or until it is fully consumed.  The bread are the idiots, the mold is this company.

They have started calling every morning (BEFORE 9 AM - can they do that?) and again some time in the afternoon every day.  They don't even say WHO they are looking for, so there is no way I am picking up the phone. I think they just troll through phone listings, trying to see if they'll get a bite from ANYbody. For a long time we were getting a lot of collections agency calls, but they were looking for the previous tenant. It had stopped for almost a year and now seems to be starting up again, but I don't know if they're looking for me or her. Until they have a clue who they are looking for, they can keep on calling. No one in my home is going to pick up!

This number called my 11 year old's cell phone.  I called it back & they asked me if I got a letter from them.....no, I didn't.  OK! We will stop calling then! Seriously crap way of doing any kind of business.

I got a call from a 1-800-448-9570, I did not pick up the first time and they called back, so I answered and they asked for someone who does not live in my house, so I said that they had the wrong number.  Then they asked if I knew the person.  I said "No, they do not live here and are not related" and hung up, but it seemed very fishy to me...  that's why I looked up the number online.  They never even said a company name or anything and the caller ID said UNAVILABLE.  Seems like its some sort of scam.

Fuk'm, dead air is all they get.  Exactly what they deserve.

Answered and "they" hung up.. Odd for a bottom feeder.

We got at call from this # and don't answer unknown calls.  They do not leave a message just continue to call.  We are on the DNC list.

I just got a call they ask me if this person who I never heard of.  I told the man There was nobody that lived here with that name, and hung up the phone.  He called me back up and basically called me a liar.  If anyone has any idea how to stop this from happening let me know.  I just start cussing and calling them names.  I know this is counter productive but, it sure does feel good.
