The caller said he was from 'global resources'.  I think.  His accent was so thick I could barely understand a word.  Said they were calling on behalf of Walmart, with a $5000.00 gift card.  I new it was a scam, but I was ticked off because I'm on the federal "Do Not Call List'.
I threatened to sue under that law, and I will do just that.  Anyone can do this in YOUR state's  Small Claims Court.  If you are on the list, I suggest filing suit.  That's going to bethe best way to get even with them.  Federal law calls for a $1500.00 judgement in your favor.  That can be tripled, depending on the circustances and the judge.  Google 'suing telemarketers for information.

They wanted my creditcard number after telling me I won a shopping spree.

Trying to recover $395 for my mother.  I called this number about 3 weeks ago and they readily agreed to refund and gave me a confirmation #.  Never received refund.  Now, they are not answering.  Their bank would not give out any further information:  Town & Country Bank in St. George, Utah.  The voicemail greeting for this number answers as World Financial Services so this is who promised the refund.  Their voicemail box is now full.  The check states idlighthouse.com so I just called them and they couldn't find any information re the transaction.

THIS IS A SCAM.  MY MOM IS BEING RIPPED OFF BY THEM.
