Received a call from (319)242-7357. This is The CBE Group, which is a collection agency. They gave me the number (800)451-2409 to call them back. This was received on my cell phone number. They have been calling my home phone every 5 hours starting at 8:01am on the dot! Until about 7:30pm. Luckily, I have them on the reject list on my cell, so no more harassment phone calls.

My grandma whom lives 45 minutes away from me called me today and left a message on my phone she said that Chris from the CBE group called and said to call them back on the 1-800-451-2409 number...I have no idea what this is for, just upsets me that they would call and bother my 75 year old grandma...whatever.

I received two calls in three days from that company. The first time I did not catch the number to call, but the second time I did. What they do not realize, if the call a number with an answering machine, there is no one there to hang up if it is the wrong number. I called back and told them to take our number off. Curious to see if it will happen.

I just got the phone call this morning while I was in class. I had a message in my voice mail says Kathy Minges...or something to the effect and she asked me to call her back. She never said who she was working for or why she was calling. She gave me this phone number and when I don't know who called me I look it up in the phone book or I try to find it online. I am really glad I did that because it brought me to this site. She told me to call the same number. 800-451-2409...

800 451 2409 belongs to the CBE group, they are a collection company.  Law prevents them from giving out any other information other than their name due to 3rd party disclosure laws.  No one should know the person is in debt other than the person they are trying to contact, its a courtesy thing.  For example the person lives with roommates, CBE will not flat out say..  The person we're trying to reach is in debt, do you know them?  CBE actually helped me take care of my debt I owe the school with a settlement offer, I was very pleased.

I received a call from this number at work this morning. They stated I owed 8,000 on a Perkins loan from the college I attended from 1988 to 1992. This is the first time I had ever heard of it.

The same girl calls me.  I have no debt other than our home with a local bank and we are ahead on payments.  I return the messages and even the calls the second that i get them.  I then sit and listen to thier voicemail.  I have left some nasty msgs stating that i will not leave my name and number with someone that i do not know.

Tom Meeks called asking for my daughter's phone number. I was suspicious directly as he used her divorced name.  He said she gave our number as a reference and that he was handling a business matter for her and needed her phone number.  He had a number but it was their old land line number.  I did not give him her phone number so he asked me to call her and leave a message for her to call 1-800-451-2409.  I called and left a message, she called me back & while we were talking I Googled the number and that is how I come to report this.

They called my parents looking for me and didn't state a reason why they are calling.  Or who they where with.  It's bazarr because I know where my finances are and they have never tried contacting me via mail and any other way.  Weird they're calling my parents since I haven't lived there in over 10 years.  All agencies I have ever worked with state who they are where they're from and usually send a letter before such extreme measures.

Got a call from (319)274-1901 and they left a callback number of 1-800-451-2409. I have no idea why a collections agency would call me because I currently make payments on anything I owe.

This is a collections agency who like to bother you.
