It's from the Identity Guard company who has a lot of unethical practices like asking the last 4 digit numbers of your SSN. Annoying is the fact that you'll have to waste your time trying to get your number off their list.

I emailed Identity Guard (their name did not appear on caller ID and I had to do a reverse phone number search to get the name) and requested they remove my phone number, mainly because I have other identity protection AND they were being a hassle. My elderly mother is 81 and picks up the phone without thinking, then she has to deal with the stupid menu.
I got an email back from them calling me a "VALUED MEMBER" and that I would need to provide more info in order to have the phone number removed. I replied back that I had not been, nor had my mother, ever done business with them and I felt like they were using unethical practices in their calls. I also informed them that I would be reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission. I got bounced around on the FTC site but you can report them, especially if you are already on the Do Not Call list. Use this link to file a complaint:

Now I am wondering if we are getting more telemarketing calls because things hare really increased since I turned in my federal census form. They ask for your phone number and the U.S. government could have SOLD it!!!

Please see my update. If you contact Identity Guard's customer service department you will just get a message trying to fish for more personal information. I consider them to be unethical, and I have reported them.

I only use identity theft protection through my Discover card. I have never heard of this service but have gotten two calls within 3 hours. They have a very strange menu. Finally asking for last four digits of your SS number. I think they are a scam. I have been having more like it lately.
Report them to the FCC or FTC.
