Mediacom Collections Department

My 90 yr. old mother who lives in Ohio got a call from this number. They are evidently trying to reach the person who previously had her cell number.

I just received a call after we paid our cable bill, I never answer calls I don't recognize, I feel if they don't leave a message it would be a scammer trying to get your information. I read posts that is is Media com. Why would they call if I am current on my bills.  Most of the time they don't leave a message there has been a time where they do but I know when we are past due and it gets taken care of. I would like to know why they are calling me if I am current on my bill we just got current and in the process of moving.

I don't currenty or have ever had Mediacom. I don't know why I am receiving these calls. No one answers when I call.

Mediacom refuses to change my due date as well. I am on Disability and have asked them to make my due date the day I get paid and they say the are "unable"........I wish there was another option for service!

They want money

I don't have any service from Mediacom, actually this is the first I EVER heard of this company so not sure why I'm getting calls from them.

I just paid my account in full 1/2 hour ago and now they are calling me?  Didn't leave a message, however.  I've had their service for almost 3 months and they still don't have my account balance correct.  Frustrating!

media com will not change your due date. I have the same problem as the one with paydates. The due date is based on either your last name, your city, or address....I've been told all three depending who I talk to.

Why not just ASK them to change your freaking DUE DATE?? almost all companies will do that.

Got a call from this number last week and the message said it was Mediacom's Collection Dept. My husband called them back because we knew we were current on our bill. The rep looked up our account and said yes, you are current and to disregard the call. When my husband pressed further for why we got the call in the first place she just said it was a reminder to pay the next bill that was due in 2 weeks. Yeah right! Well, this morning, we got the same call again with the same message. I called them back immediately and got a more helpful rep. She looked up our account which was current and the bill due on 3/28 had already been paid in advance too so you can't be more current than that. So then she looked up our phone number and it popped up another person's name using our number. She said we were getting the calls because someone used our phone number on their Mediacom account and were past due in payment. She asked me if I knew an April S****** and I said no. I also said that we had this phone number for two years and have never been late on a payment. She updated April's account (at least I hope she was telling the truth) to remove our phone number from her account. Hopefully, these collection calls will stop. They are quite annoying.

I don't mind the calls, it is just reminding you that you are past due, but if you don't want them calling you the easiest thing you can do is log in to your online MEDIACOM account and remove the phone number from your contact info.

It is Mediacom However they were calling about an installation appointment to make sure we were home!

Due to my pay days and the actual due date deadline on my monthly bill, I am always 'past due' even though I always pay my bill in full every month. I have asked numerous times for them to stop calling me about this, and I am always told the same thing. They can't/won't do it. I get an average of 3-4 automated calls a day from them, in addition to at least a couple of calls from actual human beings a month, in addition to at least 2 threatening disconnect notices a month from them.

It truly is on the verge of harassment, but they refuse to quit. Since I live out in 'the sticks', I have no alternative other than the local phone company for my internet and phone service, which is even worse.

This number just called my cell but didn't leave a message.  I have no reason to believe it is a bill collector because I have only had service for a week and haven't even received a bill yet.  Weird.

this is the mediacom revenue recovery department. they are not a collection agency. i keep recieving calls from this number even though i have already spoken with somebody. i was told that the system is on an automatic dialer and until the payment is made i would still recieve calls but they said i could ignore any other calls i get

This number is not their sales division.  It is Mediacoms collections department.  Even if you speak with someone & make a partial payment & have it noted you will pay the remainder on such and such a date, the system will still automatically generate calls to you.  You can call the number back & tell them to take you off of the systems list.

Just found out that this number is for Mediacom Cable. I believe it is a sales department number.

I got a call a few minutes ago from this phone number on my cell and they did not leave a message. Does anyone know who this is?
