Auto warranty SCAM

I do not know who this may be.

Calling every day at least once. It's getting annoying. They also like to use different numbers - this is just one of the many these people are calling me from. They call on my cell, which is a number I only give out to select people, so how the heck did they get my number in the first place? It's annoying, and I don't even have a car to have a warranty on!

Only the number came up, as I don't have the number programmed into my cell. No one left a message on my voice mail, but I accidentally answered it and they're trying to scam me of money.

I registered my number on the Do Not Call list and only after I did that have I gotten these things. It's annoying and it makes me want to change my number again.

tried to call it back today--everytime i dial it, it says i did not dial the # correctly--LOL--how many times can you call it back and not eventually get it right!!!--only thing that came up was the number

Auto Warranty Scam. Auto dialed. These buzzards should be hung up and beaten in public.

I got a call from this number today. Its good that I didn't pickup.

Got a call from them on my cell phone. Didn't leave a voice mail.  My cell phone is on the do not call list so I hope that they will stop calling.

Just received a call from this number about my eligibility for a home mortgage. When I called the number back to take me off the list, a guy's voice says "I'm sorry, this number is unassigned". WTF!! Why would they call if it's unassigned? This should be stopped.

An auto warranty scam; they're now calling me daily.  They've been repeatedly instructed to stop doing so, but refuse to comply.  I am on the do not call list; this does not seem to stop them.  They want personal and financial information in order to sell me a "warranty" for my car.  Yeah right!

A scam if ever I heard one.

Phone number 800-456-7823 called.  Call went to v-mail.  Message was from an auto warranty company.

These idiots call me at least 3 times a day, and ive tried to get on theyre do not call list but it doesnt seem to work. Is there any legal action I can take against them?

If you call this number back you get  the phone "error noise" and a recording that the call can not be completed as dialed.  In my experience that's usually a scam. A legit company's phone number would not suddenly be disconnected. A scam is currently being run where the "scammers" are somehow using numbers that don't belong to them and making them come up on our Caller IDs. If you call them back they appear to be disconnected because the number you're calling isn't actually connected to wherever the scammers are calling from. I get anywhere from 1-5 calls a day from random numbers around the country.  If you answer it's a recording claiming they represent your car warranty company and they're warning you that it's about to expire.  Even 16 year old kids that don't own a car are getting these calls on their cell phones. If you press 1 to speak to an operator and ask them any questions about what the name of their company is or what vehicle they're calling about they hang up on you. They want you to send money to them or give them personal information without giving you any info about themselves or even what car warranty is about to expire.  I'm sure most people don't fall for it but they keep trying anyway. Most of the time they call from "local" numbers not 800 numbers but I have run into other accounts that say they've called from an 800 number and I got the same message when I called this number back as when I've called the numbers they use.
