Contact your telephone provider, and get them to request DNC on your behalf.  Documented. Penalty.

I did the exact thing on last night (10/22/08). I called the number, gave them a fictious amount, name, & phone number. Guess what THEY STILL HUNG UP ON ME. I called at least 10 times back to back & I kept getting the same man or woman everytime. My number has been registered on the do not call list over 2 months ago & I still keep getting the harassing calls. So how can you file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission when they won't even identify themselves???

This company has called with an automated message multiple times to the switchboard in our office. I have usually hung up, but ultimately this time I called them to speak with a live operator and tell them to cease-and-desist.  The first call I placed, the operator hung up on me. The second time, the operator hung up again.

The third time, I TOLD the operator from the start NOT to hang up on me. I told her I wanted my number removed from the list. She said she would... and hung up... WITHOUT getting my NUMBER! In other words, they have no plans to do anything about their automated dialer.

THEREFORE - I propose that EVERYONE call this number at least ten times a day for the remainder of this year, and pretend to be interested in their plan. Give them fake information and keep them talking as long as possible. Eventually they will realize you are screwing with them and hang up. Then call back with a different voice... Repeat as long as you can keep from laughing... Oh, by the way, the 800 number is costing THEM money - not you. Clog it up!

This number is calling at work with a pre-recorded message about wanting to fix credit card debt but, it only lets you answer yes.  When you get someone on the line, if you ask for a supervisor or to be removed from the list...they hang up on you.  I will put them on the Do Not Call list and then if it happens again, I will just file a complaint with the FCC.  It is outrageous that we have to deal with this sort of harassment.

OHMIGOSH!!!  They call every week and do the same thing!  I ask them not to call and they hang up!!!!  Who are these people?  They aren't calling for me and I try to tell them that and they hang up!

They call and leave messages on my work voicemail. I call them back and they hang up when I ask them not to call since we are a business.
