This number calls me for about a second, it doesn't ring. It just registers a missed call. No voicemail. It's odd. I guess I should keep ignoring it because they barely leave a trace.

Don't take these guys serious, even if you owe them money. Troll them and they will eventually get tired and stop calling you, that is what I do. I have offered them animals (Chicken, Donkeys, Hamsters) to settle the account. Once they see that they will get nowhere with you, they will get tired and sell the account to another company. I have fun with these guys.

i have been receiving calls from this number for several years. they are calling for crystal payner (sp) but i have NO idea who she is. she obviously either had this number before it was given to me. these calls must stop!! they have been told many many times to STOP calling here that the person they looking for is NOT known nor live here!! this is harassment!!

Keep calling and asking for a person who doesn't live in my household despite many attempts to remove my number from their list.

next time they call, answer it by saying,
"thank you for calling debt recovery services, how can I help you make a payment today?"

"bill collectors".   Keep calling despite clear fact that they are calling the wrong person.  "Account" probably sold and re-sold to multiple recovery companies once a company realizes it's the wrong person - they lay it off on someone  else.  DO NOT TALK TO THESE PEOPLE.  ANY CONVERSATION WILL BE INTERPRETED AS CONFIRMATION OF DEBT.  Make them go to court - (they won't) - court filing instantly clears up identity problem and costs them filing fees etc.  These people are bad news - many financial experts strongly counsel to never speak with them.

This company keeps calling for someone by the name of Sherry. I have to tell them numerous times that they have the wrong number. I am getting really sick of it.

This is a company that buys old debts and tries to collect.  If you aren't the person they are looking for, just call the number (it's toll free) and select the option for "wrong number."  When instructed to do so, enter the number that you want them to stop calling.  That's all it takes.  If they continue calling you anyway, I believe you can file a complaint with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation.

Please do not call this number again. My husband is disabled and blind and these calls are annoying him very much. He fell trying to get to the phone. Please cease and desist immediately.

UNKNOWN number or company...we've had our number 10 years!!! I checked my credit...they have the wrong number!!!!!!

Just got the call on our cell phone. I called their number and they said they were calling for a Bernadette Williams, we are not her. They are removing our phone number from their list.

I put them on a "block" list through my cell phone company...

Got a go-phone non stop calling. Just talked to an agent told them to stop calling me TODAY!! He asked if I was some woman(I am clearly a man) and I said NO STOP CALLING ME! He said it will take 48 hours for the request to process and I should stop receiving calls. The clock just started.

My advice is to call them back and yell at them. If they are going to be rude to you just be rude to them right back.

They called this morning and their number actually showed up on the caller ID. We get a lot of calls from people offering new credit cards and it usually takes a human speaking to those folks to make them go away- so I bothered to answer. The call was automated from "BOB" and asked for my husband- even pronounced his last name correctly (which is odd for a real human). They gave a number, a website, and a reference number that was WAY too long to remember. They properly identified that they are a debt collection agency and all information obtained will be used to satisfy the debt, etc.  I went to the website but it said that domain is for sale. Hmmm. That is odd. Reading all the notes on this site, it appears I can enjoy many, many more calls from this bunch. Yay, me! Good thing I went to law school and have the ability to take care of these jack***es.

This company calls my phone everyday, sometimes 2-3 times. I switched phone company and got a new number and a week later they are calling my new number.
This is a cell phone, so we I am paying for these jerks to call and leave long messages.
I am ready to hunt them down.

This collection company has been calling me almost daily for the last 18months.  They claim that I owe 1,300 dollars to a phone company that I have never had service with.  I have done everything they want me to do including file a police report suggesting identity theft.  I called the phone company (Verizon) and they told me I did not owe them any money.  Yet the calls continue.

I just called them back and it was for a Vicki someone. He said that he would take my number off of the list and it would take 48 hours to take effect. We will see....

This is a business phone that they are calling.  They hang up as soon as I answer so I have no idea who is calling.  They have called numerous times, though, and it is extremely annoying.  They may be trying to reach the person who had my position before I came and she is no longer here.  But I don't have the opportunity to find out.  Nothing is said.  They just hang up.

I receive calls over and over from this company.  They are asking for someone that must have this number at least 3 years ago.  I have told them over and over that I am NOT this Sharon person and I have had the number for a little less than three years and to cease and desist.  They refuse to do it.  HOW can I get these jerks to quit calling my number?  I do not have any outstanding debts and have always paid my bills on time. I resent being harrassed about some deadbeat that had my number years ago!!!
