800 460 0659.

recvd call from them on 10-5-07, selling BofA crap.  Told them they were calling a phone number on the national do not call list.  They responded they would remove the number.  Then I requested that they provide me with a copy of the BofA do not call policy and the one from there own company. (There required by federal law to give this too you)  Guy on the phone had no idea what I was talking about.  Told him that every time I asked and he refused it was $500.00 in small claims to me.  (streched the truth on that one)  Finally he got so flustered he put on a so called supervisor who tried to give me the run around, until he relizied that he was getting deeper and deeper in trouble.  He ended up taking my address to send out a copy of the do not call policies, and I got him to fess up the name of the company he worked for.

800-460-0659 belonds to NCOGROUP.com.  They are one of the worst telemarketers out there, not to mention collection agency.    Hope this info helps everyone sue them in Small claims court.  I am filing next week.

I get calls from this number several times a day as well, at my business.  We are required to say somethings when answering the phone, probably their automated dialing software identifes my number as being answered by an answering machine, and it promply hangs up.  I have yet to talk to a person, or even a recording, it just hangs up.

Call the number back.  It is definately BOA.  What makes me mad is I would not have opened my business account with BOA if I knew they were going to call so often to ask if I need a business visa.  If I needed or wanted one I would apply!

I too am getting several calls daily from this number.  They call and hang up or let it ring twice and hang up.

The one time I talked to someone I told them to remove me form there call list-they hung up.

How do you stop them-is there someone to report them to??

I'm glad people get so mad when people are actually doing there jobs...If you read the DNC laws correctly maybe you will see that the DNC does not stop business to business telemarketing calls.  These telemarketers need to eat too and to some this is the only source of income.  These workers don't like calling people and harrassing them trust and believe...Telemarketing is better then fast food any day.

I seen your compliant and I personally use to work there and even though you are on the do not call list it sometimes takes up to 30 days or more to take you off. And then sometimes they don't.

If you have/had an account with BOA chances are you're on their calling lists.  The National Do Not Call List doesn't block your number from banks that you work with.  If they call you and you don't want them to you must ask, "Can you please put me on your do not call list?"  From there they should tell you that they'll take you off the list and that it takes a certain amount of days to make sure you're off all of the calling lists.  You have the option of asking how long it will take if they telemarketer forgets to tell you right off the bat.  If you say something like, "I wish you wouldn't call" or "I'm so tired of getting these calls" they can not put you on the do not call list.  Why?  Because you didn't ask to be put on the list. Nobody really wants calls from telemarketers.  If they went  by that then telemarketers wouldn't have jobs because everybody would be on the "Do Not Call List".

OK lets look at this logically. If this is Bank of America they are obviously calling some people who are not their customers. Thats a DNC violation. And the people they call which are customers are being treated to the typical telemarketing tactics of calling more people than their system can afford to answer so some people are getting hang up calls. Maybe that is legal under DNC but most states have harassment laws. Anyone who calls and hangs up without stating their purpose is harassing you. Some of you may remember when you were kids you might knock on a neighbors door then run away. That might be funny if youre a juvenile but under most state laws that is harassment and that is exactly what BOA is doing. And to its own customers I might add. BTW BOA is a major US bank located in San Francisco. Most of their branches are in the western US. You can and should contact BOA if you are a customer and tell them you do not want these calls and to put you on their INTERNAL DNC list. Then if they call again you can sue them for $11,000 per call. If you are not a BOA customer then file claims for violation of the DNC law or sue them yourself. Dont let these greedy companies harass you in their relentless pursuit of profits.

I would also inform them that it will take 30 days
to remove them from my fax machine list, and they will
receive fax letters requesting not to call,
for every call they make, until it stops.
I would also call them over and over everyday
until it stops.

wow you are all a bunch of f****eads.

first of all, business lines are exempt fromt he do not call registry, as is anyone with a preexisting business connectuion to the company who is performing the call.

secondly, all call centers use predictive dialers, which means that the computer autodials more numbers than representatives available which obviously means that occasionally there will be more answers than available representatives. thus, the 'silence' upon answering. and yes, this is legal.

third, every business outsources to other countries. get real it's 2008 no one wants to pay 7.50 an hour to an american union member when they can get someone in india to do it for a miniscule fraction of that amount. it's not unpatriotic, its free market economics.

if you are the business owners of america, dont blame bush or anyone else for the shite economy, blame your incompetent selves for not even understanding the laws of this country.

I receive calls like this two times each day.  They ask for the business owner and I reply. "Which one?"  There are five.  Sometimes they hang up.  But when I am feeling playful, I get out my whistle.  Not too many call back after I shrill that one in their ear.  Or answer in another language.  Press one for German.

These people call 3 or 4 times a day.  I've been just answering and immediately hanging up and they just call back an hour later and won't leave messages.  When we have picked up, they don't answer.  I'm completely annoyed with them and think we will block their number!!

I have been getting calls from this place for weeks now.  I usually let the answering machine pick up when CID tells me that it's "800 Service".  Once in a while someone tries, "Hello?" before hanging up.  On the few occasions when I picked up because I was ready to mess with some heads, I got silence or background talking.  I don't care who these people are, I despise them with a passion and wouldn't buy anything that they were selling due to the nuisance calling.  If I get a chance, I'll tell them so.

Oh, and if it is BoA, they're in violation of DNC, since nobody here owns a BoA card--and if it's a business card that they're selling, this is a residence.  At least I don't have to shred telephone calls; the pre-approved offers that I get in the mail are more offensive and time-consuming than a phone call that I can avoid.
