Well, this definitely is a scam. I also paid $319 for what was to be software to process claims. All I received was a worthless CD with outdated "training/set up information". I too was told my confirmation number is 11751. I guess the same confirmation number is used many times over. I have requested my money back via an email and OF COURSE, no reply. I would really like to put an end to their dishonesty and taking advantage of people that are truly looking to earn an honest living. I have reported what information I have to the Attorney General in Wisconsin as that is where I received the packet from (no street address) just Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the company name of Data Exchange. Data Exchange is a legitimate Company and these people are feeding off their name to make this scam look real. These people are truly the "scum" of "scam".

Well, I finally got fed up with being treated like an idiot (those were her words, not mine), and I'm cutting and running. I was on my second attempt to pass the "test". Maybe after another three months I would get paid, maybe not.
I'm going to contact the CA attorney general and the Better Businees Bureau, as well as my local paper. I will also be letting the unemployment office know, as they didn't know enough to warn me off. Because of my family situation, I cannot get a traditional job--I know many others are in the same position for different reasons--so was hoping to get some income. Of course, I will also change my card number and close my business bank account.
Maybe if we all tell our attorney generals, they can get together and do something about it.

Like you, I have gone through most of the process.  Now waiting to take the "phone test".  Did you ever receive any further correspondence?

Laura, it's a scam - read my post below. EINs from the IRS are free and available online here http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=98350,00.html and do not cost $187 each. Please protect yourself by reading up on scams here http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/consumer.shtm - see links on the left side of the page.

Read all about various work-at-home scams here http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/menus/consumer/invest/workhome.shtm and click on "Medical Billing Opportunities" to see how it works and where to complain. Whether or not this is a scam depends on what was promised and not delivered or what you were told would happen and didn't. The free market means each of us are allowed to buy tools (like a wrench for a mechanic or software for a medical bill processor) and card issuers won't refund money unless you've been scammed. If it's a scam and within the time window (I think 60 days), you can get your card issuer to refund the money. Report it as fraud and not a dispute - if you say "dispute," your issuer will tell you to work it out with the charging party first and you know that's useless. If a scam, it may be wise to close the account because they have your account info now and they can charge it in the future or sell it to another scammer. There is no free lunch. *NEVER* pay money up front for work-at-home schemes, you're only inviting disaster. Read up on schemes on the FTC link above and protect yourselves from scammers.

I am at the same point as everyone else and I was so excited because today they were going to call me back regarding my bank info, etc.  They had been very good about calling me back, but the woman on the phone was SOOOOO rude!  It takes a lot to get to me, but this woman seemed to be able to make me feel inferior with one sentence!!  Well, I came to this web page when typing the email address.  I was able to contact my credit card company and got an immediate refund.  I still have to show proof to them when they send me a letter which I have for them - unfortunately!  I immediately turned around and sent an email to these people that I'm sure they won't be so quick to respond to!  Not that it will do any good, but I did it.  Thanks so much for the info everyone -and for the insight to never do this again!

Add another number to the list ... read the postings on the other numbers these crooks have used, you will see it's the same SCAM run by the same SCAMMERS.

THIS IS A SCAM.  It is run by criminals who put ads in small papers all over the place.  They change phone numbers frequently because they are hiding from Law Enforcement.

These are some of the other numbers documented on this site where they have run the SAME FILTHY SCAM.

http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-207-6917
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-406-1712
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-352-0667
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-410-2887
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-341-2673
http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-877-414-1894

These crooks are well aware of this site and like to make fake posts so beware.  Read the other blogs for this SCAM and you will see they post the same kind of lies or make nonsense posts to try to detract from the credibility of their victims.

Do not deal with these turds.  They will steal your money.  They are targeting people who can least afford to get ripped off with FALSE PROMISES of work.  You will NEVER get work, you will only lose your money and get NOTHING in return.

I too found the ad in a local paper, called numerous times and would never get a person to answer but did get called back.  I set up to pay the $319 with a confirm # 11751 and was said I would receive the software in 14 business days.  I was apprehensive so decided to research and came across this information, I just called and cancelled the card.  Sounds like a scam to me...

i am in the same boat as the rest of you.  i found the ad in the news paper and called, everything sounded great.  They assured me this was 100% legit and I believed them. i did everthing they asked me to do. I got my trade name, got an E.I.N. number, and opened up a business account. After all that i was scheduled to take a phone test. they called me on the scheduled day and after all of the questions i was told i passed.  I was then told i would be recieving an e-mail in about a month. They gave me a specific date and said that on that day i would recieve my e-mail with the names of the physicians i would be processing for. Today is the the day i am supposed to recieve the e-mail, and i keep checking and nothing so far. I really hope this is not a scam. I have come so far and spent so much money. I will keep everyone posted as to weather or not i do recieve the e-mail, and what happens from there.

Am with all of you.  First of all, we really all need to contact the  newspaper where we found the ad and tell them this is a scam.  Whether or not they have any responsibility covering our costs, don't know.  Also contact the attorney  general office in your state and report this.  Google your state's attorney general office and there should be a consumer fraud link and go from there.  My first concern was the nastiness of the person calling me  from the call center.  Also if your $319 was put on a credit card, call that card provider, explain your circumstances and request a new card/new number.  Explain to them probably consumer fraud...they should take the charge from your card.  My "story" so far is identical to yours.  We should all keep in touch....and see what we can do about this....who knows, we may all be wrong....(ha!!) and this could be legit!!!!

The same thing happened to me and I am unemployed and was desperately looking for work, and now that they have their money with their worthless information that they sent me in the mail with no return address, etc. I am pissed! I even tried to look up there e-mail address information: datatech888@yahoo.com it says that they are from California Email Provider:  yahoo.com
IP Address:  209.131.36.158

I want them to return the money they took from me back!!! I am going thru my bank statement too and I will file a claim with my bank as well!!!

They need to be stopped and get what is coming to them for this scam!

For people that are in need of work and will do anything to work to make money to support their families and pay their bills on time, this is just outrageous someone or some people could have the nerve to take advantage this way!!!

I found an ad in the Star Ledger for a work cv home business typing/processing health forms from my home computer I had to pay $319.00 for the software my confirmation number was #11759. They took the money out of my account after telling me I would be a a good candidate for this position after telling them I have been unemployed for some time now and just put myself thru school and need a job to pay my bills! I have two phone numbers and an email address that whenever you call you do not reach a live person and have to wait for a call back everytime! I not only had to pay for their package but I also had to pay for a trade name thru my county and apply for an EIN number from the IRS and open a business bank account just to start work with them after paying $319.00 for software  $54.00 for trade name and $187 to the IRS for the EIN number, I am still awaiting setup process to begin for me to start processing health claim forms!

IF this is a scam I would really appreciate they catch these people as soon as possible because that is money I eIe not have to shell out for my health and I think it is despicable that someone could take advantage of someone like this, especially in todays economy!

800-465-8690 was the number listed in the Star Ledger I initially called for a job and they gave me this number to call for ssupport 888-270-1459 after I received there paper packet and software that had the exact information in it that the papers they sent me had in them! I want my money back from these people as soon as possible! Please reach me at LILLAURA819@AOL.COM

Need help to catch these people....what a fraud they are!!!

This number is associated with advertisements in local news papers and on-line websites claiming that they "provide a work from home" environment.  There is no web site affiliated with the number and upon further investigation I learned that they required a credit card number for "software" costing $300.00, which they claimed was going to be paid back over a period of time.

The United States and out "Home Land Security" "Oversight" and whatever else you wish to call it is failing to do its due diligence to the American consumer who is interested in making honest money from home due to maternity leave, downsizing etc.  In the opinion of this individual the USA is providing an injustice to all Americans by allowing these scam artists operating from undisclosed locations (perhaps outside the USA) to solict and attract people to jobs that don't exist.

With all of the security the USA provides NSA, IRS, FBI, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms etc..... we fail......... CONSISTENTLY.. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS AND DON'T PASS IT OFF AND SAY, THIS IS NOT MY AREA OF EXPERTISE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!!!!!
