Can this be traced?

This WAS  google's service.  Google shut this service down in nov. 2010!  This was incoming on my caller ID this weekend.  My cell phone's vm was forwarded to this number along with my saved vm messages (or they deleted them).  They changed my vm message telling everyone the number was not in service, etc. Cell phone company disabled forwarding to this number....
Anyone have anything similar?

This number was google's 411 type service (they shut down on 11-12-2010).  
Someone got into my cell phone voice mail and either Forwarded my saved voice messages or deleted them to this number. My Voice mail message was changed with a  message telling people number you have dialed is not in service, please check number and dial again.
I called number and it "there were eleven entries on list" I followed voice prompts and they were phone numbers that had called me?? I was given an option to delete all on the list: I did.  Called cell phone carrier and they took the call forwarding feature off this phone number. changed my voice mail pw.  Has anyone ever had anything like this happen??? Very disturbing

I recently tried a new toll-free service by Justdial (1800-500-0000). It guarantees to pick your call in one ring, and answer queries within 60 seconds. I couldn't believe it, until I tried the service. It really works great! I think Justdial has given a completely different meaning to toll-free services.

Someone is making prank calls using this number.

i have been using this service for a while with my cell phone (sprint)  I just got charged $1.79 for using goog 411!  sprint did reverse the charges

google operators are standing by to take your prank calls

THIS CALLER IS A AUTOMATED CALL AND IS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PERSON,THERE IS NO WAY TO COMMUNICATE,WITH THIS CALL,WHEN I TRY CALLING IT BACK IT ASKS ME FOR MY PIN # AND HANGS UP,THEY CALL ME ALL HOURS OF THE DAY FROM 4:AM TO 9:PM SOMETIMES 9 TIMES DURING THE DAY MOSTLY IN THE EARLY AM

I was HAPPY about the service until I used it last month.  The number was routed to AT&T.  They tried to charge me $1.87 to use it.  I was told that there would be a charge even if the they couldn't produce the number that I wanted.

I had to call customer service and complain to get them to drop the charges.

Let me know if I can still use the service free.

I  have had numerous calls from this number since Feb./2010.   How can I block  the number?

I got a call and was told to register for the sex offender site!!!!! Complete B.S!! They said if I didn't register that I would be arrested!! These people need to be caught and punished.

I WAS CALLED BY THE NUMBER 800 466 4411 AND WAS THREATENDED I WOULD BE KILLED. THIS IS NOT FUNNY NOR A JOKE! YOU JUST SIMPLY DO NOT CALL AND SAY THOSE THINGS. THEY CALLED SERVERAL OF TIMES AND THE MORE PHONE CALLS THEY MADE THE MORE VIOLENT THE SITUATION GOT.

I tried to get a number from 800 446 4411, but the computer asked if it as business, residential or government and then asked me for city and state but not for the name of the person who's number I wanted to dial then it told me that there as no listing.  Unless it can read my mind by phone how could it know to whom I wanted to call?  screwed up system.

This number can also appear when someone is using GIZMO5 and Google Voice to make calls. The Google Voice number will not show up on your caller-id, just the Google 800 number. I have Gizmo5 and Google Voice. When I call someone using this service they get 800-466-4411 on their caller id.

They used GOOG-411. It's a free 411 service from Google, and they can connect you for free. That's probably what happened; the person called your store with GOOG-411. The phone number for that service? 800-466-4411.

I had 800-466-4411 show up as an incoming call on one of my cell phone bills, how is this possible?  its a plain old personal cell phone, i do not know how someone was able to call it using goog411??

Let's get this straight .... if you receive a call from 800-466-4411, it is a call from someone who has used the Google service to reach you .... nothing more .... they may not know what they are talking about, looking for, or whatever, and just hang up ... but they have simply used that Google service .... they may have just been "trying it to see if it worked" .... and it DOES!!!!!

About the "Big Brother" knowing our every move through our cell phones, there are a lot of misconceptions ... unless someone deliberately downloads and installs one of the myriad spy programs now available over the internet into your phone, the only thing anyone can find out about your phone, without having it in hand, is it's location and sometimes your number ... and that could be done even with the original cell phones through triangulation .... now GPS does that. The new "spy programs" available for cell phones can INDEED turn one's cell phone into a true "bug" ... allowing someone to listen and even view what you are doing ... but at sometime, they must have had access long enough to your phone to get it installed.

Enough of the conspiracy hogwash ... that assumes that the Cretins in D.C. are smart enough to pull it off .... and we have seen in the past couple of decades, just how smart they are??!!!

You conspiracy theorists need a real hobby.  The "Government" has nothing to do with private cell phone carriers.  If you don't want to be tracked, then disable your GPS tracking option on your phone, or turn your phone off.  The rumour that this so-called government tracking can't be turned off comes from wildly imaginative TV & film writers.  Complete rubbish.  Stop trying to scare people with your parroted unsubstantiated rumour.

This number is associated with Google and the Goog-411 project.  If you get a call from this number then the person calling you used Google's free directory service.  (800) GooG-411.

Just because they used the toll free directory doesn't mean that the call is fake.

Yes, and Yes... it is very easy to access someone's cell phone... and it is possible that you were spammed this number and it "redialed" it...
as to blocking others from using your cell? well removing the battery is about the only way... one of the systems our government put in place to spy on us and it's unclosable... they can also track your every move... Hmmm... looks like they (big brother) doesn't have to chip (micro chip I.D. implant) us after all...
