I am in Tampa Florida and got a not at my door today instucting me to contact my mortgage company immediately at 1-800-466-8939.  Was a chat line.  I reported to my phone company.  I am with Scott; I'd like to catch someone leaving this note at my door.  I am also going to contact the better business B.

I had the same thing just happen to me today.  I spoke with the guy and he said he was with my mortage company and needed to take a picture of my home. I too called the number and got the same message.  Did you ever figure out what this is about?

Got a yellow envelope placed on my front door. Important please call 1 800 466 8939.  Wrote on the paper was Homeowners Assistance?

A man approached the house about to leave a note on my door saying " CHASE BANK 144 URGENT PLEASE CALL YOUR MORTGAGE CO. IMMEDIATELY 800-466-8939" which I did but got a message saying" Come on it time for live action talk call 1800- 871 talk"
Any Idea's about this scam.

I just had a lady come to my house. She said she took pictures of my house for the mortgage company which is Chase. She gave me a paper that said urgent please contont us immediately 800-466-8939. She said it was just to see if we still live here because we have claimed bankrupcty due to chase not willing to work with us. Its tells you to call another number which is a sex number. I have 2 small kids in my home so now that i have seen this I am worried are they trying to see what I have to rob me or what. Please give me any info anyone may have about what to do about this.

Hi Karen...I am also in PSL and have been getting these notes almost monthly. I can't wait to catch them at my door. I will kick their a** or atleast get a plate number. If you find anything more out let me know on here and I will do the same. Thanks...Scott

I just got an email from my husband who found this note taped on our door saying it was urgent and we should call 800-466-8939.  Does anyone know who this is?

I got the same note: "Urgent!  Please contact us immediately".  I'm in San Diego, CA.  I called the number and it was the Live Talk Action thing.  Scammers.

These mortgage/phone sex scammers are working Unicoi County Tennessee as well. The police have investigated and newspaper has reported, but no further leads.

I got one of these notes taped to my mailbox.  I called the number and it was a live chat line.  So I immediately called my mortgage company which is ASC aka. Wells Fargo just to make sure that everything with my mortgage was okay.  ASC said it was fine.  So I am really pissed with whoever left this note.  I wish there was some legal action that we could take.

I have been getting these notes for months I never really thought anything about it as the first time I got it and called it sounded like Chase my mortage company.  That was quite a few months ago now but they were not willing to help me so i just disregaurded the notes left. Then Last month in October A guy came to my door, and since I have video monitoring system I walked out while he was approaching my home, I questioned who  he was and he said he was with my home owners insurance company and needed to take pictures of the front and back of my home.  That night when I went out side I saw this slip laying on my front porch that said to call this number again I just thought that the guy lied to me and was from my mortage company so again I did not even call.  Now less than a month later antother guy shows up and again me and my husband this time meet him in the driveway.  He states to call my mortage company and that he needs to take a picture of the front of my home. He hands me this had written slip that says to call this number but this time underneath it says wells fargo which is not my mortage company so my hubby called the number and this time we got the sex line message.  I live in Brevard county which is on the east coast of florida.  If anyone knows what is going on I woudl appreciate any help or ideas of what I whould do.

i am laid off and bank wants to foreclose. the caller (tina)told me her company was to help stop the forecloser. i was to send $800 western union as a quick collect form. she gave me a fax # of 1-866-282-5682 [it is a fax line]. i did not send any money. She said they will be sending forms out in 2-3 days for me to fill out.

Yeah, same thing here in Tampa. Note taped to the door dated yesterday, same number. Called it and got a brief message pitching a sex talk line and another number to call. Guerrilla marketing like this I do not appreciate, and I better not find unauthorized calls to my cell because of it!

I found the same note taped to my front door, and when I called got the same "live action" message. I live in the Orlando area. Is everyone else who posted from Florida? This seems like an odd way to drum up business for phone sex.
My printed message was repeated 4 times on one sheet and had two odd orange stripes on the back.
