Calls several times EVERY night. Rings once, and they hang up. Never leave a message. Like the others, I called the number and it's some fundraiser - no details - just that they'll call back. I'll report them to the FCC. There must be a way to stop this.

I refuse to answer, but they keep calling 4-5 times a day. Totally sick of it!!!

Are these callers looking for valid phone numbers in current operation?
Our being on the do not call list is irrelevant because these calls (and many others) don't stop.
They call (and get my machine) at least 4 times each day.
Are functioning phone numbers being harvested for future advertising purposes?
Is this annoyance another "bored teenager" activity?

Called the 800 number and got the same message as Chris. Called the international police federation fund raisers, and they said that it's not legitimate, and that police fundraisers cannot call outside of their state. Then if they were real, why am I getting calls for Conneticut when I am in Arizona? Now got one this morning at 4AM.

Three calls per day for the last two days, several calls before that. Leaves no message, hangs up if we answer. Calling the number yeilds only an outgoing message from "the fundraising hotline" saying they have tried to reach us with an important message and will try back later -- great!

Daily calls early morning, sometimes again in evening. Now showing caller-id text "Fundraiser." Have never answered the call, and a phone message is never recorded by the caller.

Claimed to be from the "Connecticut Fraternal Order of Police" and solicited a donation. Calling back the number just gives a recorded message that says they will call back, and no identifying information.

Persistent "Toll Free" buggers. I'm getting a call once a day around 7pm PST for the past 4 nights. I just let it go to my screen machine which announces that it's now illegal to call back and then the caller just hangs up.
