Block calling to confirm an appointment. You can now have the agent where you do your return check a box to only have real people call you instead of these callbots; but either way, they are doing business with you at your request, so why are you complaining???

I do have an appointment to have my taxes done this week, but as with everyone else, they didn't leave a message. That makes me doubt that this was a reminder call. In the past they have called to remind me to make an appointment even after I already had one. That is probably what this was.

We use HRBlock. Never had an issue, have used them for almost 20 years. Had I know the number was from them I would have picked it up instead of picking up, then hanging up. They need to use their name, not just toll free call. I don't answer those ever.

Some of us look up numbers because we receive calls when we aren't home and they don't leave a message. It isn't always about someone dodging a debt collector.

I just got this call on my e-phone.  I did not answer because I did not recognize the number.  They also left an email.  I have never used H&R Block so I do not know why they are calling.

Why bother me with something that is ok,don't mess it up with unwanted phone calls.

Saw the toll-free number and didn't answer.  I had my taxes done over 2 months ago and they're calling me NOW for a survey?

Appointment reminder. Call service that won't take NO for an answer. Yeah, they usually call after my appt. too to check if I was happy, an automated survey.
Maybe I'll tell them I changed my phone number this year, like to, say, 800-472-5625. Heh heh heh.

This was an automated reminder call of an appointment from H&R Block.  Not sure why I received the call even though we met with our H&R Block tax person yesterday.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS, I HAVEN'T HAD MY TAXES DONE WITH H&R BLOCK FOR 10 YEARS!! I don't have an appointment with them, nor have I in ten years. DO NOT EFFING CALL ME.

H&R Block calling to sell some crazy service I've never heard of and don't want. My number is on the National Do Not Call Registry, so they shouldn't be calling me anyway. I called them back, pressed "0" to get an operator and told them I wanted off of their call list. If I ever get another call from them, I'll file an FCC complaint.

i have NEVER used a tax preparer for my taxes and have no idea how they got my number!!!!!!

I work for Block as a computer technician, these are almost always just follow up calls to appointments, survey type stuff so they can improve their business. They bombard me too working for them with technical surveys and keep adding more each year, but I never see them take any of my recommendations in these surveys typical to any modern company.

These things don't affect the quality of service you receive from the majority of tax pros who are awesome and always friendly. Never been with a company so friendly and respecting to me as a person.

Now Block is NOT a shady company in any regard, they are just a slice of American normal business, in fact compared to other tax services out there they are the least shady and will go to bat any day to protect your interests. I've only been with them two years and I can tell you the difference from other services I've used in the past in a hurry.

The arrogance of this message.  I didn't pick it up call, but I listened to the voice mail left.  It said that it was reminding me of an appointment that I had made for the next day.  I never had made an appointment.  I called them thinking maybe someone had made an appointment having my info.  The woman on the other end said that I had made the appointment last year.  I said no I didn't.  She said it was automatically entered because of my appointment last year.  I said that's a big assumption for a company to make.  That is a tactic that should be discontinued.

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone.  I don't use H&R Block for my taxes so I have no idea how they got my cell phone number.  We did use them for the taxes when my Uncle passed away last year -- but my husband would have given them our home phone number, not my personal cell phone number.  This is very frustrating.  You just can't seem to escape the telemarketing calls no matter what you do.

H&R Block thanking me for using their tax preparation services last year, and letting me know that simple tax filings are free until Feb 29, 2012. Legit.

For those of you who got called by this number and it wasn't directly after you did your taxes with H&R Block, but rather, 6 months later... it's probably because they want to do the mid-year tax check up with you. They were kind enough to leave a message for me saying this.
