About two weeks after having my new HP I saw a number listed as Microsoft being 800-705-8160 so I called them for help and I allowed a remote session.  They claimed my network had been messed with from prior back and for over $400 they would fix it. They gave me the number 855-441-1222 to  call them back as a seconded number in addition to 800-705-8160.  Anyways they made things worse, all I tried to do was find out why my new computer was resizing when I used Windows without me doing anything to cause this...  I got suspicious that I had not called Microsoft they gave me the second number to reach them at but I would not give them my card info etc..  I went back online and I saw they were not Microsoft and the add I had seen misrepresented who they were!
They messed with my computer, they made thing worse, they made changes and I tried to use RESTORE to get back to the way it was before I made the call.  Guess what, these phonies took out all my set Restart points, all of them leaving only to restore to the moment after they messed with my unit, but HP has a fail-safe so even though I would lose two weeks of setting up / customizing I had no choice they possessed my computer so I used the fail-safe and started over!
Still hoping to rip me off they called today about two weeks since the time I had called 800-705-8160 today they  called from 917-732-1678/9 representing themselves as HP, for I told the people at 800-705-8160 that I had an HP before they messed up my computer before I had no choice but to use the fail-safe and started all over as if it just came out the box, I told them I would check out who was calling and I found out it was not HP! I called them back only to get the message that those at 917-732-1678 could not take my call at this time...
Realizing from the time they called they must be the people I called two weeks back who falsely advertized to be Microsoft I called the 800-705-8160 number and heard the same voice that called me today from 917-732-1678/9.  I told them I now had this 917 number linked with the 800 number and I would report them, the man got cocky and you go ahead that's what I want you to do, he started talking fast which they do to keep you from getting all the info you want & have rights to, I said they are a fraudulent business and I am going to report them, again to intimidate me he said good that is what I want you to do.  Before these souls burn in Hell while they are still on earth they should be locked up!
I wonder how many people they tricked out of money so far???

I don't have a problem when I call them. They are always very helpful, but now I'm receiving calls from them and that is unacceptable. They don't talk, they just hang up.

I have received several calls from this number supposedly regarding an issue with my HP computer.  I have never owned an HP computer.  I have told them repeatedly not to call me again, but I had a call come in today that I no one was on the line.  Apparently they place several calls at the same time to see if the phone is answered so they can call later.

I received a text from this number.
It is the actual number of HP Technical Support.
They were offering to sell me a caller ID service.
HP does not actually offer such a service.
I also received similar offers from other phone numbers.

This is obviously a spam text, using the HP Technical
Support phone number, as a FALSE CALLER ID, which is
also illegal.  Of course, scammers don't worry about these things.

It's {definitely @!#%*HP}.  I just bought a HP 2000 NB w/ a 2 yr warranty ystdy. Also bought a Verizon Nokia 928.  Wanted to hook up both mainly for photography use.  Verizon tech was unable to figure out how to get photos from ph to pc.  She had me call HP.  HP wanted $59 bucks+tax to explain the process to me.  So I ended that conversation quickly.  I called Verizon again today, requested an advance tech & he ever so politely, courteously, calmly walked me through the steps for FREE of charge.

Hey all you complainers:
I have been with HP for three years and have never had a problem with them.  I am on my fourth brand new printer and fax machine whenever it goes out of whack and they can't fix it they send me a brand new one free of charge, all I have to do is return the old one.  Their representatives have always been very polite and cooperative so I don't know what all you idiots out there are complaining about.  You must be stupid or something.  The even send me toner cartridges for free.  Some of you people out there just love to complain, what a miserable way to live, I pity you.

I got a call from this number today.  Wasn't home and left no message.  But beware, If you did not call for service and someone wants control of your computor to "fix it" you are asking for trouble.  Don't do it!!!! It is a scam!

Don't know why they call me either......I'm Mac.  I have no printer.  I print form my workplace.  Often this number is answered and all is silent, then a recorded message...." Good bye ". And it hangs up.  I think they are scanning phone numbers for a future scam call.  I wish I was more like my friend, who is never tempted to answer an unknown number and lets them all go to voice mail.  She says these calls are occurring with less frequency now that she doesn't answer.

Someone from this number called to say my pc is infected with a virus.  Never told me how he knew about it, so I did not fire my company's technical support/IT guy.  I would however love to know why HP called when all our pc's are Dell and Gateway.

I have to say that my experience this past month with HP service turned out very well.  I spent over 40 minutes on the phone and even though there was a bit of a language issue, the guy helping me did a good job.  It didn't hurt that they offered to provide tech support even though my one year had recently run out.  I believe my guy was in Pakistan.  He was very patient with me, and stayed with me urging me on as we worked through solving my issue.  Thanks HP!!

This is the toll free number for Hewlett Packard Tech Support.  These guys helped me with a software problem and told me at the time they would call back at a specific time to confirm that the solution offered actually worked. I was not available when they called back, so they followed up with another call the following day.  I am very impressed with the tech support group at HP.  It's hard enough to get tech support for many products I've purchased, but these guys are good and care enough to check back to see if you are satisfied.  If you got a call from this 800 number it is because you asked for their help.  I'm adding this information not as a complaint, but as a compliment to HP Tech Support

The techs in India are horrible. They are rude and insulting. I bought a computer with a bad mother board and it took 48 weeks to finally get it repaired. But they did offer to sell me more products.

I did get a call from this number. I asked the caller what they wanted and they said nothing. Why call if you have nothing to say? This way they can tell their boss that they called to resolve the problem?

Keep receiving calls from this number - but no one ever leaves a message.  We DO have a non-working Hewlett Packard printer-scanner-copier - but if someone is calling about that - why would they just call but never leave a message?  VERY strange!

I called this number thinking it was a legitimate hp service.
I turned over the use of my computer so they could install my printer-----the process was long, and I felt they were scanning and getting all they could off of my computer.

This was May 24, no calls yet from them, I hope never.
