This is a major scam. I was looking into it and signed up at the wrong site. My fault was  not double checking the page I was on. I work for a museum and just thought I was paying shipping. Only on the last page of submission did it say it was reoccurring. Watch out for others as well. I think they use other sites to take from your account. I also got money out from nw-ag.com and some bussinessfund.com. I was never even on these sites. WATCH YOUR ACCOUNT closely for these others or more.

Check this out and you'll get your money back!!!!!
This is what I did!

This company was supposed to give me a 7 day trial For $2.95. They billed me $39.95. I immediately called the and cancelled my account on 10/31/08. I forgot to ask them for a refund. So I call back on 11/1/08 . Asking them what exactly am I paying for with the $39.95. She claimes it was for the software disc containing all of the grant info. I never got such a disc I said. I told her I wanted all of their comanied information; Name, Address, City and State, then she asked why I needed this info. I simply told here I'm sure the Attorney General's Office and The Better Business Bureau's gonna want to know who I talking about when I file a report. She contacted her supervisor and I'm getting my money back. This may come in handy for all that got scammed by this company. For those of you that no nothing about this company, here is all of their information:

Raven Media
2620 S. Maryland Packway
Las Vegas, NV 89109
1-800-479-0979

And for this business to not have a regual phone line coming in to this building is totally fishy. I ran a white pager reverse lookup and there is no phone # when searching this address. I should just turn it over to the Vegas Police. There are quite a few us that got scamed? Who agrees to turn this info over to the PO

I called this number when my credit card statement showed $39.95 charge in Jan. which I didn't authorize; it resulted from my ordering a $2.00 CD outlining grant opportunities. After poring through it & finding it useless & irrelevant I threw it away. When I called the phone # man in very broken English said I was to have called in 7 days after getting CD to cancel my "participation" in their benefits program. Two other charges for $7.95 and later $9.95 also appeared on the statement with 2 other names & phone numbers; come to find out this www.Center4Grants.com is just another branch of the source of the other two; the agent finally gave me cancellation confirmation codes & followed it up with emails to verify all those charges will be reversed.  I'll check with Visa today to see if they received reversal instructions, altho agent said it may take up to 15 business days. This also explains all the phone calls I've received throughout the month from groups saying I'd requested info on starting a home business; these creeps sold my info to other scammers!

I investigated a complaint involving fraudulent use of a credit card (Visa) by a female resident. She noticed three unauthorized transactions, two of which were from REGNETORD.COMMN. The victim notified her bank and the charges were reversed. When I contacted the company (with an active 1-800 phone number found on this site), I requested assistance involving the fraud. I also expressed my concern that fraud had occurred thru the Utah based company. I was advised that the company provides service for work-at-home businesses as well as grant searchs. I do have my concerns about the validity of this company and the fact it has been used in this crime. Advise. Check your bank statements. Use low cap credit cards on internet or phone orders and unsupervised scans. Do not use a debit card for gas pump purchases. And, be defensive with your credit card and information like you are defensive driving the roadways.

You are not the only one(s)...
Same here, a nominal charge of $1.99 shows up - no idea what this is about.
Had to call the bank - Dispute the charge.
Cancel the card in question and move on from here - but keep watching your account as more of the same scam artists are out there.

just adding to the complaints.  I had small charges from wu-yi source, center4grants, smartdiets, and grsnt dollars today.  I called the first two and was told I'll get credit.  Then, I thought how do I know calling is safe.  I was initially alerted when my card company called to say they suspected fraud so the card is cancelled.  I also received bills mailed from the NY Times and some other company for substantially larger amounts. Both cancelled the accounts.  When I called the Times; they immediately asked if my card was stolen (the amt wasn't charged to my card) I said no, but the number was used by someone else I don't know.  They canceled the account and bills have stopped.  Clearly the Times was aware of a scam.  I will go through my bankcard holder for the two remailing card charges.

I have been receiving these same charges from Grant Search. Just call the fraud department of your credit card company - they should take them right off. Don't deal with the guys committing the fraud - go right to the credit card company who has the power to stop them.

Received a credit card charge of $1.95 from www.center4grants.com. I called to cancel charge. It sounded like a boiler room with a foreign accent. As with others on the site, they provided me with cancellation numbers but couldn't connect me with a "supervisor" to arrange a refund. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge and was issued an immediate refund. From that I surmised that this was not a new scam to them.

Update to my previous post:

After a lot of searching around about the fraudulent charges to my debit card listed above, I found that Regnetord is definitely connected to several of them.  These include:

Wuyi Tea Co (Ontario, Canada):$4.95
Grantsearch.com (Las Vegas, NV): $2.99
Regnetord: $1.85

Regnetord is apparently a transaction authorizer that these companies use to clear credit card transactions.  Whether they are legit or not, I can't say, but if you Google the name, you'll find hundreds of complaints about similar problems involving Regnetord.

I did NOT sign up for any free trials nor did I order anything on an offer to 'pay for shipping only' and I certainly did not order anything directly from any of these companies.  Yesterday, my UPS driver tried to actually deliver me an order from WuYi Tea, which I refused.  They had the address slightly off and the phone number they had for me on the UPS sticker was also slightly off, but that doesn't give me a lot of comfort.  I did receive one phone call from another company, so I know my information has been compromised.

I've alerted the three major credit rating/reporting agencies to the possibility of identity theft.  How or where my information was stolen, I have no idea as I only make purchases on-line from major businesses and I don't visit sketchy websites.

Again, I can only strongly recommend that you do not contact these companies yourself as they may be phishing for more information about you that they don't already ahve.  Let your bank do it for you and cancel your debit card.

Exactly the same situation. My favorite so far is the charge for the online credit check service. Oh, the irony!  I've been trying to figure out the connection too... Not a Citi or Wachovia card though. Sirius Sat. radio is about the only online payment I make. Anyone else with a Sirius connection?

If you see this or any other unknown charge of a similar nature on your debit card transaction list CANCEL YOUR CARD.  These are undoubtedly scams.  My bank froze my account yesterday due to 12 suspicious transactions that all posted within 24 hours of each other, including this GrantSearch.  The transactions included:

Yahoo Search Marketing
NetFlix
Maxx Supplements
SuperAuctions.com
Clickandbuy.com
Regnetord.com
Grantsearch.com

And 2 transactions with no business listing, including one with a phony 555-1212 phone number.  Do not try to get your money back, just cancel your card.

Grant Search.  I called in August to cancel it, was given a confirmation code.  I asked to for a receipt by email or fax, they said they don't do that.  I was charged again in Sept.  I called Grant Search again just now and gave the confirmation code.  They said there was no record of it and asked if I was sure I called.  Ha! I asked, how do I know this isn't a scam your company pulls?  I threatened to report them to the Better Business Bureau, and she immediately said she would refund the last payment as a "courtesy" and would email me a confirmation of cancellation.  If I don't receive it within the hour, I'll call again.
