These people from this number call day and night every day and several times a day. I am sick of them calling me for at least 2 years now or more. I do not even answer the phone anymore. Wish I could block them from my cell phone. They are pain in the butt. They asking for a guy and I am not a guy, I am a chick. Screw these people.

Thanks for the information. I believe this site is making a difference. Let's put the pressure on CMI for their deplorable practices of harassing innocent civilians.

The way around this is changing the 800 to 888.  you can then request your number be removed.  There is a Federal and Texas statute dealing w/ unsolicited calls.  If you get a call back from them after reporting, you can win a claim against them.  I don't have the details on it but it's in violation of the statute.  It also might qualify for a harassment claim and/or violation of Interstate Commerce if you're outside the state of TX.  Consult legal counsel.  Here is information I found by asking some questions.

I asked them to transfer me to the CEO and left a message letting him know I was reporting his company and there were several websites complaining about the companie's practices.  I did the same for corporate counsel.  Both names are below.

I reported this number to ATT, it is a 'non working number'  Been thru all the stuff you all mentioned.
Thanks to everyone for their comments on this situation, the 3 second rule, and all that.
ATT gave me the number of the 'do not call' list, we know that only works on sale, not collections.'
ATT gave me one month caller ID to try to stop this bunch, I've also started a "Call Trace" through law enforcement.
According to ATT, once someone tells a company, three times, to stop calling, they are bound by law to stop...perhaps that is why they keep changing their number, I don't know.
If I get somewhere would any of you like me to post the results?

Debt Collector
Melissa from Creidt Management.  I have two phone lines in my house.  One I've had for 2 years, the other for 3 months.  At the same time, they started daily calls to both numbers.  Each one asking for different people.  The number they give 1-800-483-3767 goes to a "stimulating talk" pre-recorded messaging asking you to make a further call.  then it disconnects you.

I saw someone's previous comment on here saying to try "1-888" instead of "1-800".  Well, I did & I got through to a rude Tabitha employee #94 that wouldn't put me through to anyone & I tried to explain they are giving out the wrong number to call back so we've been getting these calls for months. She said she didn't care & no manager is going to get on the phone for a wrong number.  So I got her info & googled the company.  Their corporate number is 1-800-377-7130.  I asked to speak with a supervisor & got Kim.  I hope these phone calls finally stop!

We have been receiving multiple calls from Melissa at Credit Management trying to find someone who lived at our home over 20 years ago.  When I try to call back all I get is this solicitation for some "talk" phone number.  Very aggravating and I just want it to stop!
