Watch out for these guys, I used to work for the company before discovering they were scammers!!!Distinctive Solutions is a company that Verizon outsources to do door to door sales for them. The sales reps are actually hired by Distinctive Soluions, but they lie to business owners and tell them that they are from Verizon and are visiting them today to do "their quaterly visit" which is not true- they walk into every business and tell them the same thing (without even knowing if they are Verizon customers) this is their sales spin- they lie to make it look like they are from Verizon and are servicing you but in reality they are just lying to get their foot in the door and sell you Verizon products. If Verizon was smart they would drop Distinctive Solutions- they are really starting to give them a bad rep.

No, they were not "under the guise of Verizon contractors."  That's who they are.

They are Verizon's subcontracted marketing team and are the only field unit (all the company names mentioned here are Cydcor representatives; Cydcor is hired to do direct marketing for Verizon) authorized to sell and provide customer service for Verizon's business-to-business service.  The 800-483-8060 number is indeed Verizon and is the call center through which the field agents process orders.

These people came to our business as well under the guise of Verizon contractors.  Used the name Global Business Inc.  Felix Sacerio  VAE4 2XKT.

They wanted to talk about our phones.  We showed them to the door where a County Sheriff was waiting. (another person in blgd called them).

Don't know what happened but the Sheriff spoke with them for quite a while.

I just had a visit from these people and did exactly what you did.  It was a different name on the badge and the company was NRM Business Solutions with the same 800 number.  

They wanted to check our phone bills to see if we had the most current lines.  Of course, they said we do not and wanted to change them.

I have had people wearing Verizon badges come in to our offices as well. Numerous times. I took photocopies of the badges. I called the number and it answers as Verizon.  The names on the badges are Jacqueline Briostol MDC&-ZC9I and Megan Buckmaster MDC7-K19I. They are photo badges with the Verizon logo on them. It also says Distinctive Solutions with the phone number 800 483-8060. I found a website for a company called Distinctive Solutions and was able to find a Jacqueline Bristol who works there.

Actually came to my business - only information left was this phone number.  Said she was from Verizon?  NRM Business Solutions.
