continues to call on my cell phone.

the most annoying thing about the calls from this number is that if you do pick up and press 1, they put you on hold....
so you didnt even call them in the first place, but get put on hold for upwards of 5 minutes!!! seems to me that if they bother to call you, they should have someone standing by to immediately take your call....

Called several times, different hours.

Comcast had no written contract, and gave us a $33 monthly rate. I paid 3 or four months in advance normally. When I looked at a bill, it seems Comcast upped the price to almost $80 and applied my total advance payments to this new rate. I spoke with them and they said I was on a promotional rate previously (although when I had asked at signup, I was told this was not a promotional rate and it would stay the same!!) In any case, there was no written contract, and Comcast came and took their stuff. However, they gave my account to this "Credit Protection Association" for collecting the 2nd or 3rd month of $80 (which I would not pay). I offered to pay Comcast the $33 monthly rate until disconnection - which means I would have owed about $15 more or so. They didn't do anything, and this new company keeps calling and bugging me. I believe this is harassment on both Comcast's and this "Credit Protection Association" company's part.

CPA is a collection agency, if you have an account in collection with them, I suggest you pay the company directly and not them. I made a payment online for my balance. You would think it would post right away, but it doesn't it takes 36-72 hours and longer. But they don't hesitate to authorize your bank acct. thats done as soon as you make the payment. Then they constantly call you afterwards, your payment is not even pending in their system so they say. I just had to call them to get them straight...

automated voice call giving 4 options including push 1 if this is the person who's named, push 2 if you need to put them on hold to get that person, push 3 if this is the correct number but not the person is not available, or press 4 if this is a wrong number.

Called left message about CPA but sounded shady. I checked my accts and didn't notice anything out of ordinary so didn't return the call.

I called the number back.  They are CPA (Credit Protection and <something>).  It is a collection agency.  They will not give you any information but their Name and CPA, until you furnish, your phone number and full name.  They called me on behalf of Charter Communication
