I work for Education Advance in Tulsa,OK. They have several satalite companies and a major call center in Utah. I can attest that 80 percent of the calls we make turn out to be people who have filled out for a job and did not de-click a box for receiving information about college. Education Advance well the one i work for does not have a 800 number,  it shows up on the caller id as a local number you can call back. Though im not sure what happens if they do, but we doo pass on your info to the colleges you pick. The satalitte company in tulsa is called agoge marketing.

As many as 3 calls/day for a "Sidney"  No such person at this number.  Refuses to give location

I don't know whether our caller is the same guy or not, but this scam has to stop

I also got tricked into this scam, they called me yesterday and said I can cancel within 3 days and now i've been trying to contact them but they don't even pick up the phone, emailed them but no reply, i got ripped off almost 5000, i'm still trying to find a way to get my money back

Did you ever figure out who's behind the scam? I got a call the otherday, someone claiming to be from 'Education Advance' in Utah. Sounds awfully familiar and BOGUS!

I recieved a call.  He said somebody filled out a card and gave my number.  Has not called back, but another numnber is now calling me...1800-259-7187

I have gotten a couple of these calls.  I am sure that I have never asked for any information.  I have been getting about 2 calls per day.

I received a call this morning from the same man with the southern accent and he  became extremely belligerent when I asked him to remove me from the list, then hung up on me.  I had to call the number back to get them to remove me from their list

I have been receiving the calls from this 800 # as of late. I have not picked up either, but I also have never applied for an education loan or requested any info on obtaining an education loan. I am also on the do not call list, which is apparently irrelevent to this particular company!

I get too many damn calls from this number on my cell and i have no idea how they got it..... i want them to stop calling me

I started getting calls on my cell phone from this number over the weekend and have no idea why.  I also have no idea how they got my cell phone number in the first place.  Is there any way to stop them?

THis number call me many many times. Sometime very early in the morning, sometimes call me more than one times a day.

these bastards have been calling me non stop for the past few days. they've went as far as calling at 10 pm, and i was f***ing LIVID!! i have a small child and they wake her up everytime they call. i didn't sign up for any education online bu***hit. so i just called them back, and the woman said she would remove me..she better f***ing do it too.

Out of the blue I started getting hang up calls from 800-490-3911, 10 calls with in 2 hours, all hangups. I found this site and read through all the post. I came across the number for Greenwood & Hall (888-344-4100) I called it and talked to a receptionist and she told me that she would take my number off the list and that I wouldn't receive any more calls.

I have been receiving phone calls from this Education Advance for about a week now. They call 5-10 times a day, I never anwser however. My boyfriend and I have made several attempts to remove my # from the list, but it never works. It stops for a few hours then starts again. We have asked to speak with supervisors but don't believe that we really spoke to them. I am now going to be looking into harrassment charges, if ANYONE has any information about how to get my # off there list please let me know.
