I got a call from the same number..."Jack Coin" or something, but this is NES (National Enterprise Systems). They are a collection agency. The fact that they don't state their business with you is very very annoying. And no, it is a waste of minute to call them back. Bad credit? Oh well...doesn't all students have bad credit?

I've gotten a recorded message from "Dave Smith" 5 times in the past 3 days. The call shows up as an "unknown caller" but I am told to call this number to resolve a "personal business matter". He's called at 8:30 every morning so far.

The phone number belongs to National Enterprise Systems located at 29125 Solon Rd Solon Ohio 44139. They are a 3rd party debt collection company. I have not received calls from them but have had the pleasure of working my end of the collection business on their employees. I have repossessed at least a dozen or so cars from their parking lot in the last 4 or 5 years and have looked for at least a dozen more there. They obviously are a "low rent" company who pay their employees very little. They are not only rude on the phone but their receptionists lack even basic professional office behavior. If you receive harassing calls from them a call to the Solon Police Department at 440-248-2932 should put a stop to it.

I dealt with him too, but I know i had to pay the debt anyway because I was buying a house & needed it off my record. He was relentless, but in the end he helped me. I called back & everyone else gave higher settlement offers. His offer was the lowest. My grandma was worried it wouldnt settle the account, but 10 days later he got me my "zero balance" letter as promised. I checked with the original creditor & it did close the account like he said. He was pretty cool. Saved me some cash i guess. He also updated my credit score.

These people keep calling my number, and leaving messages. I do not answer unknown or private calls. A woman always calls, this morning sounded like she said "Victoria."  She said this is a very serious mattter and call her immediately at 1 800 491 0015 ext. 1062  I have no idea what this is about.  I'm a senior citizen and this is very stressful. How did they get my tel. number?  I'm on the do not call list.

This place has called be 26 times int he past 24 hours with all the same things unlisted number....23 different names....urgent they apeak with me...blah...blah...blah Thanks for all the insight I was getting ready to call them back but now I know! Don't talk to these people!!! I remember seeing something I believe on dateline about this company and they couldn't answer the questions of why are they so rude? Why won't they say who they work for? Like we will pay a so called "OWED PAYMENT" if they won't tell us who is even trying to collect it! Come on!

These people from National Enterprise called me a few times, they say 95, come on, if you don't know who or why a person called you and it is a recorded message, why would you anwser or call back? Their number shows unavailable, suprise. The last time they called my fiance anwsered because we no longer have caller ID, and took this number. They are rude and only want things done their way. They were collecting for verizon wireless. I told a few guys that I will pay but wanted to pay when I had the money. They actually told me to pay my mortgage late and pay them instead! Then he would save me $100.00. They didn't like that I wanted to pay on my terms and kept tranfering me to someone to repeat the entire conversation over and over. They threatened legal action. More BS. If they keep calling my number will change. Next time I won't bother.

I worked there too UNEMP and experience the same things you did. I was shocked when my supervisor Bryan Howard under the alias of Paul Stevens would cut in on my calls and say he's a federal agent or from the company's law department and that a lawsuit has been filed at the debtors' local court. I heard women and kids scream at because they were slow to or didn't want to write down a message. Age makes no difference with these Cubicle Gangsters, 80 plus year old men and women are talked to in the nastiest, most rudest way you can imagine by NES employees. And Ed Pollack and his two sons hear it all cause they walk the floors all day every day.

I recently worked at this horrible place. National Enterprise Systems is the collection agency from hell. It's the devil's worst nightmare. Employees are trained to collect according to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act but once on the floor in their respective departments collectors are told to forget everything they learned.

My supervisor, Bryan Howard under the alias of Paul Stevens, regularly provided a second voice to collectors having trouble closing collections. This idiot would identify himself to callers as a federal agent, an NES attorney, etc., anything to try to scare the debtor into paying. He would actually tell debtors and their spouses that a lawsuit had been filed and if the account is not paid by postdated check by a certain time that day a deputy of the court was coming to serve the debtor on his job. I witness this on a daily basis all day long. B. Howard is neither a federal agent, attorney nor any of the other things he claims to be and NES don't sue debtors. All are clear violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

Debtors are talked to as if they're inhuman. Even when the debtor is not home the person taking the message is treated like dirt. I will never forgot my supervisor shouting at an 81 year old African-American woman for not getting a pen and paper to take the message. "I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE 81 YEARS OLD HE SCREAMED AT THE WOMAN." I've witness collectors hollering at kids "GO GET YOUR FATHER."

You are not supposed to talk to spouses?in certain states--about their significant others? debt unless given permission by the spouse to do so. This rule is ignored at NES. In fact when I left training I put the document about the spouse rule on my cubicle wall to reference only to have it snatched and trashed by Bryan Howard who said I wouldn?t need it.

The owners Ernest Pollack, his wife, and two sons: Scott and pie-faced Chris are well aware of what is going on. These people are hands on owners. They constantly walk the call room floors, note the individual collectors and group collection sales and hear all the violations first hand. The more a collector screams at a debtor the more they like it. People actually clap and cheer when a collector goes off on a debtor. All that concerns these greedy money grabbers  is how much money they are collecting at any given time.

Payments are demanded in full although they do offer settlements that are too demanded in full. Money orders and mail-in payments are not accepted, only postdated checks over-the-phone or Western Union Transfers for Citi Bank accounts. Some other creditors do allow NES to also take payment by credit card. For the postdated checks debtors are asked to give their accounting and routing numbers. NES, the scumbags they are, attempts to take the money out before the postdate. Nice company huh!

Collectors and supervisors once provided with bank info by the debtor call banks automated customer service numbers to obtain how much money they have in their accounts. We have their social security numbers so getting info this way is like taking candy from a baby. Some banks have safeguards against this and required you talk to a live person. They also work this wickedness on debtors? credit card accounts or the credit card accounts of the debtors? spouse, mother, father, etc. I remember one collector on the phone with a debtor saying ?Your Mother Has $7,000 On Her Card She Can Use;? She Can Pay This Debt For You!?

If anyone needs someone who's "been there" in any of their legal actions against this despicable company I?m your guy.

I recieved a message on my cell phone from a "Dave Smith" from NES concerning a personal bussiness matter for a Scott Smith, I nor does anyone in my family know a Scott Smith. When I attempted to explain that this was a cell phone and that they were waisting my minutes with every call they make to it, this Dave becomes beligerent and rude stating that I verified this information in his office yesterday, I stated what office and where and get no information. When I asked to speak to a supervisor he hangs up, I even attempted calling back the 1-800 number that showed up on my caller ID and asked to speak to a supervisor and another call came through on call wait, I answered it and it was NES. My husband Googled the number and we got this site and others, we used the information from the Bud Hibbs site hopefully they got it, I am not Scott Smith, hopefully no more calls.

At the very least, you may want to send them a cease-communication notice. Here are samples of such a letter that you can copy and adapt to your particular situation free of charge:

Please Post their home number!!  Nothing else is working...granted, my Mom (82) did wind up owing monies to the Bank of America at their 30% interest rate after a lifetime of never being late with a payment to anyone-She always payed her bills!  The whole Country is upside down, and one of the things that would somehow make me feel better is to grab this idiot Dave Smith by the face and shake him until he can't remember her phone number anymore...or his own for that matter! At one point this Dave Smith even called my Mom's Landlord in the Apartment Complex that she's lived in for 30 years-I don't know how or where he got that number, but Dave...come on over and talk to me-we'll work it out!

I phoned the "Compliance" phone number asking to speak with Carol (there are Two Carol's-didn't have an extension #) and some other ghoul immediately started her routine, and stated that we would continue to get as many calls from this Dave Smith (MORON!) as he wanted to give us and not to expect anything to change.  "Standing Tall" mentioned a phone number where people could call these vampires at their home, but I suspect that these people are not going to stand for their own treatment and it would be naive to imagine that they wouldn't block these actions!

We get a minimum of five calls per day from this Jerk.  These messages are, of course, pre recorded and restart from the beginning every time you pick-up the phone and/or attempt to speak. This idiot has a strange way of speaking (sort of an accent) which makes me suspect he is from the Northern area of the U.S. or even Canada.  As the previous Blogger states, He says his name is Dave Smith and I think that I saw the last time I checked he may work for a Collection Agency (possibly from the Minneapolis area!) that has been voted the "Worst Collection Agency In The United States." I want to speak with him in person, but would begrudgingly settle for his mailing address or Email address!! Can you help?

I've received a minimum of 6 calls per day for the past 2 weeks from this "Dave Smith."  Apparently, my voice activates their message, as I never speak to an actual person when answering.  I'm always directed to call an "800" #.  Yeah, right.  My finances are in order.  Perhaps these scam artists are looking to gain something from my grown children who have been on their own for awhile.  I've been ill for almost 2 months.  I don't need to have these harassing calls during periods of broken sleep.  I am not techo savvy, but there must be some way to stop this harassment!  If any of you can help me to stop them, please let me know!

I called the number from "Stand Tall" (above) (800) 973-0600.  I was transferred to Carol in the Compliance Department.  I told her what happened (Bob above).  She told me that I might get a call this evening (automated dialer) but I would get no more calls after that.  She also said she would discuss the above tatics with "Dave Smith".  I think my problems are over and the Compliance Department with National Enterprise Systems is doing their job correctly.

Left two separate messages on two consective nights on my phone stating it was a "Excellent Business Opportunity" and to please call Dave Smith.  I called on 11/9/07 at about 10:30AM and was asked several questions.  Mr Smith was looking for another person (relative) and asked for his phone number.  I told him I couldn't give out that number but would forward the message to this person.  He then stated that if I didn't give him the number he would continue to call my number.  I then asked him if he was threating me.  I told him that if he continue to call that I would get an attorney and sue him for harrasment.  He then asked me if I was threatening him.  He then stated that he could get "legal" also.  I told him to go ahead and we will see who will win.  I also told him as a collection agency he had certain legal rules to follow.  He then stated "who said that I'm a collection agency".  I told him why else would he be calling me about somebody else.
