Received phone calls from 800-495-8682 claiming to be from attorney Dennis Scott Carruthers office stating in a very condesending manner "we have a legal matter to discuss with you and u should call me back". No idea what this is about, so I did a search on the CA Bar Association website and it appears Mr. Dennis Scott Carruthers is indeed an active member of the bar association (Bar #68745). In case anyone is interested in bypassing the 800 collection losers, his actual office phone number it is (714) 761-3976.

I am housebound with some serious health problems. I lost my job after being sick too much and missing too much work. I then got into financial troubles. I barely have enough money to survive on monthly from SSI. My daughters have to help me out. This company has proceeded to contact and bother my 2 sisters and my 2 brother-in-laws and embarrass me to no end. I tried at first to work out with a couple of them that simply refused and only wanted their terms of which I simply could not. My medications monthly and medical insurance is a must and very expensive.  Others that agreed to work with me have now little by little been paid off. I have not returned their calls as do not trust them after reading all of these reviews and how they handled my family members trying to get me to call them. There are laws to protect us but some of them just do not care about other human beings....just doing their jobs they say...and they get downright cruel and heartless. I am going to simply try to ignore them and told my family members also to do the same and I am going to report them also as they are affecting my health which is bad enough on its own.

it 2014 and this lady cathy called me  every hour on the hour looking for a relative.  I told her I was a sick person and I just trying to make it to the next day and hung up. that B--- called me back and said she was through with the question and if
I could tell her my relative hereabout, if I knew any other family members that I could give her,and  say I can not believe you are still taking, she is a a** hole . with no life, they are probably only paying her 2 dollar  a hour or she trying to get a name for her self. BEWARE EVERYONE ...CATHY  IS A B.......................

received a call from a Bobby Sones, said from Attorney Scott Carruthers,  for my daughter on my cell phone!
I asked how he got my number.  He refused to tell me.

Every time he call he was recorded. our company can file  a lawsuit against Mario Rivas. He should not be calling at work place or even leaving messages to supervisor because your supervisor does nothing to do with it, Mr Rivas should know the rules. I guest he has no life except calling and calling so many times, if a collection agency calls you at work they haven't stop. It's against the law for collection agency to call your work and harrass you.  You could easily file lawsuit against them and win. I gurantee you.

I just received five calls in a row from 800-495-8682.  I was busy on another call so did not answer.  When I returned the call it was answered as "Law Office".  I asked for the person who had called me five times in a very short period of time as it must have been incredibly URGENT for them to call so quickly.  Needless to say these people are bottom feeders of the collection world.  Thy are calling for various debtors one of whom is CashCall.

I have recieved calls from these people on my cell and at work and that was the last straw, I called and spoke with GILBERT AGULAR and the man is a total A**H**E he would not let me speak or explain my situation he kept telling me that they were going to come to my place of employment and serve me with papers and then proceded to tell me that they would garnish my wages and I would "lose my pretty little car" when I tried to explain to him that due to rent and a car payment that I had NO money at this time.  I also stated that I was not disputing the bill that I know that I owe it but my situation at this time was dire and that I was in process of filing with a bankrupt lawyer. He hung up on me twice and the third time I called I spoke to his supervisor and he was not much better but at least he let me speak for all the good it did.  I also did tell them that I know they are recording this call and I am going on record to "NOT CALL ME AT WORK EVERY AGAIN, OR I WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THEM"  it is illegal for them to call you job.  I hope that you dont have to deal with these people but if you do good luck..

a guy name mario r. has called several times stating he's calling from the law office of scott caruthers.  he has been harrassing my employer and leaving nasty msgs on my phone.

This company had a rep with a very thick latin accent call and threaten and harass my 95 yr. old dad and my son.  The caller claimed that my father and son both needed to pay a debt that supposedly belonged to me. This company is doing business for CashCall who are currently being sued for their excessively high interest rates and are having to refund to millions of dollars to all those who were illegally charged high interest rates for quick cash. This company owes me hundreds as well.

I received a two calls, at my place of employment, from someone who said he is with the Law Offices of Scott Caruthers.

Continues to call me regarding my Sister. I requested him to take my phone number off and not call me again. He started yelling at me and was really rude. He continues to call me. I am now declining his calls.

I am getting phone calls again from Scott Carruthers Law office harrassing me. They keep telling me I owe on a Cash Call account that was closed in April 2007. They call my work every other day. Last year I asked them for a Debt Validation Letter & they refused to send me anything. They ask me for a credit card number to make payments to them. My account with Cash Call was settled back in 2007 when I refinaced my home.
Last year they were asking my phone operater at work how much money I made a month. I filed a complaint with my local p[olice dept. last year & they stopped calling me. I have since been relocated & they are calling me again. They are very rude & ask questions they should not ask over the phone.

They just called my job that Bobby Sones dude. I spoke with im him last week on my personal phone and told him not to call my place of employement...This time he called my job and  my work phone number I TOLD HIM to cease-and-desist and that I contacted the police department and he tried to deny I ever told him that ..there practices are ILLEGAL...DON'T PAY THEM!!!

My landlord received the call from D. Scott Carruthers office - they are very sneaky and provide information that should not be given out. They are a debt collector. Bobby Sones 800-495-8682 spoke with my landlord. I will be filing a complaint against them.

I got a call from them and they called my job.  I told them to stop call my place of employment if they keep calling I would have a job to you or anyone else.  My cousin who works for a collection agency give me the 411 they were calling for Cashcall...take it from me you don't want to every get a loan from those SHARKS...lesson learned...Not real lawyers...THANKS GUYS FOR YOUR POST

I just got a message from them at work and I know they left me one on my cell phone. I don't answer calls that I don't know. So they can keep calling me until they are blue in the face! I hate scammers!

Keep getting calls from this number and a Ms Williams leaves messages to call back.  I have no idea who this is and can not find anything good about this phone number.  Stop calling me or reports will be sent on harassement to law enforcement.

Keep on getting calls at work from this as---------.  Got so pissed and told him that he was harassing me at work and that it was punishable.  And if he doesn't know that,  he better read more on harassment laws.
